Easy Bistro was one of the highlights of my Chattanooga trip, and sitting at the oyster bar made the experience even better. Watching the chefs work their magic while enjoying Oyster Happy Hour was dinner and a show all in one. I sampled seven oysters from seven different regions, and my favorite raw oyster was the Cold Creek from Washington. It was clean, briny, and perfectly balanced. As much as I enjoyed the raw oysters, the true star of the evening was the Hearth Roasted Oyster. Buttery, silky, and kissed with just a hint of citrus, they were absolutely unforgettable. The Smoked Grouper Rillette was a pleasant surprise. Rich and smoky, it was elevated by bread-and-butter pickles that added a Southern touch and cut through the richness beautifully. The saltines were classic, but the twice-baked crackers brought an extra layer of crunch that I loved. The King Salmon Crudo was incredibly refreshing. The salmon had a delicate sweetness that paired perfectly with the fresh vegetables, while the serrano peppers added just enough heat to keep every bite interesting. Even the vegetables impressed me. The baby carrots were perfectly tender, and the chimichurri's bright acidity balanced the creamy richness of the toum. For my entrée, I ordered the Gramigna, which was fantastic. The sauce was packed with flavorful andouille sausage from a local butcher and finished with delicious Tomme de Lafayette cheese. Comfort food with a refined touch. To top it all off, the team surprised me with a strawberry gelato for my birthday, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The entire staff had amazing energy and worked together like a well-oiled machine. Sitting at the oyster bar gave me a front-row seat to the action, and my hands cramped just thinking about how many oysters they shucked throughout the evening. The aromas coming from the kitchen were intoxicating. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming, with large windows overlooking the covered patio. At one point, I even spotted a horse-drawn carriage taking a couple on a romantic ride outside, which felt like something out of a movie. The upbeat soundtrack kept the vibe lively, and the extensive bar menu offered plenty of creative cocktails and mocktails. A special thank you to Chef Ben, who took great care of me and even poured my aguachile tableside so I could capture it for a video. Chef Emery and Chef Skylar were also fantastic. It's clear this team takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every detail. After some research into restaurants in Chattanooga, we came across Easy Bistro & Bar and we were not disappointed. From the hostess greeting us to her opening the door as we left, our experience was superb. Our server, Dakota, couldn't be nicer, helpful and understanding. She started by offering sparkling rose to celebrate our anniversary. The vibe is very upbeat and hip!!! The Steak Tartare wasn't like any we've had before, it was so interesting and flavorful, that we might go back tonight, just for that one dish. The Gramigna Psta dish was tasty and creative, well thought out and presented. We would have ordered more, but we had just come from a happy hour, won't make that mistake again, everything we saw looked scrumptious and all the other dinners looked extremely pleased. Easy Bistro was recommended to us by our friend who lives in the area.We had the happy hour oysters and espresso and dirty martinis. Our bartender Allie and was great. She was on top of our drinks and my friend is into scotch so Allie suggested a scotch flight for her. We stayed for dinner too because raw oysters doesn't fill you up and had shared appetizers. Definitely recommend this place if ever you are in the Chattanooga area. They open at 4, but don't start serving dinner until 5. They do serve raw oysters and some low priced snacks before 5. You can only sit outside or at the bar before 5 as well. Our server was Reed. I chose the Easy Bistro because it had been included in the new Michelin guide, though it hadn't earned any awards. I was also excited to stop in during the Oyster Hour. I was not aware that you can't order anything other than oyster during this time, except for a few other items (bread, shrimp, olives). Also, you could only sit at the bar or outside. It was a cool evening, but the heaters made it an ok place to sit. We ordered the Murder Point and Little Honey oysters. The Murder Point oysters were some of the best we've ever had, and we ordered two more. The Little Honey were too small to be enjoyable, so I wouldn't order those again. We also ordered some bread and butter. Folks, they brought out 1 1/2 slices of bread. For $6! It was just bread, nothing special about it. I would not order this again. I removed a half star for the lack of value. Luckily we came in at about 4:45 pm, so by the time we finished our oysters, we were allowed to order dinner entrees. I ordered the Steak au Poivre, which I though was good, not great. The steak lacked the peppery crust I associate with the dish. Rather, there were a few peppercorns strewn in a relatively non-descript sauce. I wouldn't order this again. The Steak Fries were delicious and some of the best I've ever had! I would definitely order these again. The service we experienced was not very attentive. The waiter didn't return after we had oysters for quite some time, even though I had told him from the onset that we wanted to order dinner. We lacked for water for long periods during our visit, not having received a carafe that some tables got. I took of another 1/2 star for the mediocre service. read more

My wife and I went here as a splurge for our anniversary. It was the best dining experience we have had! James (our server) was great, the restaurant was busy but not too loud, and the food was delicious. If you are feeling adventurous, do what we did and order the chef's choice. It was so fun not knowing what food was coming out next! Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted even better. As a bonus, they printed an anniversary card for us and the entire staff signed it. This is my absolutely preferred restaurant to have dinner with my wife or family if we are celebrating something. The menu changes all the time (even oysters selection) which is fine, this way you are never bored and you can keep trying amazing food. For some people the many might be limited, but trust me when I say this place is really good. Service is always great perfect, at least the five times I have been in the restaurant and ambience is very cosmopolitan and fresh. Went back to Easy Bistro for a birthday celebration on Saturday 2/7, and was not given the typical Easy treatment that we have loved in the past. The menu is quite a bit smaller and more limited, on top of that after ordering a few small plates, we were told maybe 20 minutes after ordering them that one was no longer available (all fine in the long run, but I would have expected that to have been relayed to the server before service started). Once entrees came out, all but one were brought and our server was no where to be found for quite a while to address it with her. Once the final entree came (steak) it was not up to par with the other steaks on the table. A manager came and apologized, but that was all- no complimentary drink or dessert for the hassle, once again, not what we expect from Easy. We had a party of 8 and spent quite a chunk of money and were completely let down. Truly don't know if we will be back after the experience. read more

Pretty decent spot in general, good ambiance, the dining area is classy and clean, the service was beyond good, and kind. The food was pretty good. Except for one thing The fish/ seafood, had a fishy taste to it. Like most definitely not Fresh or was not handled correctly, the octopus and the shrimp, it can definitely be better. Great wine selection, i did get Cabernet Sauvignon and was served in a Bordeaux glass! but im a snoopy wine ass. Maybe best time we've had in terms of taste. Their small plates usually shine the brightest because of the creativity and obvious heart in them - the sauces are fresh, fruit and herb forward. The tuna sticky rice was just single tear down the cheek worthy gorgeous. Would order that as an entree. Cocktails always way better than your average bear. Keeps us coming back. Our family of 4 (two younger kids) absolutely loved tonight's experience. We sat outside and the ambiance was perfect. The uni pasta was perfectly cooked and the drinks were fantastic. The best part of our experience was our server, Katya. She had such great recommendations and honest opinions about everything on the menu. The ramp oysters were the best grilled oysters we've ever had, so we ordered seconds. I've never had ramp onions before, so it was a very refreshing experience. Katya said her hometown used to serve sourdough with a very light coat of mayonnaise and ramp on top, which sounds amazing. We only visit once a year and hope to see that on the menu next time we visit! Everything was coursed out in perfect timing. We had a group of 10 and we had an outstanding time. Every dietary need was met and each person loved their individual meals. Oysters were great. This was our second time visiting here and still out was amazing. This time was a little more crowded and loud but still has plenty of space between bench seat tables. Our waitress was helpful and attentive. We ate the strawberry gazpacho and sour dough bread to start. It was new, fresh, and tasted wonderful. My husband and I came here for our 1 year wedding anniversary. They had a card on the table and the server congratulated us on our one year of marriage. We did the chefs menu and wine pairing. It was four courses/10 dishes, and cannot say enough good things. Every dish was a surprise and everything we had was incredible. The steak was one of the best I'd had, We got truffles on EVERYTHING we ordered, The pasta we shared was literally one of the best pastas I had ever had also! I drool when thinking of that sauce.. Mushrooms on the side were over seasoned and not my fave, but the Brussels salad was good, the fries were good. The Shrimp Cocktail was also really good for being JUST shrimp cocktail! Im from New England and we have great Oysters and all shellfish and I really didnt expect it to be soo great in Tennessee, but it was!!! The first time I went for brunch when it was down next to the Mellow Mushroom, and at that time I had a Bloody Mary that was untouched. The owner was tending the bar that day and I was impressed. Well this time I was surprised that the new location was simply beautiful. One of the first things I noticed was the open kitchen and bar. We were visiting Chattanooga and Easy Bistro was recommended to us by someone we met at a local breakfast spot. We decided to take a chance and I am so glad we did. They have a broad selection of amazing cocktails, a fantastic wine list, phenomenal food, wonderful environment and terrific service. I had roasted oysters and my wife, Gnocchi with Morel mushrooms.
