Gentle, personable, excellent care with the latest technology.... My husband and I started going to Dr. Howe when we moved to Mount Vernon a few years ago. Recently, I had an appointment for a crown. Ellie, who assisted throughout my visit, invited me into the office when she noticed that I was about to call from outside due to the COVID precautions. Dr. Howe was very gentle as he gave me the novocaine shot and did the necessary drilling. He and Tracy worked patiently to create a crown that is a perfect size, shape and match. Tracy kept me calm from start to finish through the long process with friendly conversation. No need for a temporary crown. I received my new crown the same day!!! read more

After our lifelong dentist retired we were looking for another independent (not corporate owned) family dentist. I asked friends for recommendations and several recommended Dr. Brian Howe DDS, Family Dentistry, with the comments that they really didn't like going to the dentist but Dr. Howe and his staff made it so much more pleasant! We called, were accepted as patients and we could not be more pleased with our choice! I hate the dentist. I cannot stress this enough. I'm not even sure if hate is a strong enough word. Then we have Dr Howe office. I don't hate this office. I love it. From my very first apt they made me feel relaxed. I had to go in for 2 root canals (yes 2!) and they wrote prescription for anxiety for me prior to the big day. The procedure went as smooth as floss on a just brushed tooth. Do I recommend Dr Howe office? Let me just say I will never go anywhere else for my teeth. They are amazing. read more

My long time dentist retired so I scheduled an appointment with Dr Howe. I am so glad I did! Dr Howe has invested in high quality diagnostic equipment that I didn't even know existed. Ive been afraid of the dentist for the last 15 years, I had a very very bad experience so There for let the health of my teeth suffer. The team at Dr. Howes office is INCREDIBLE!!!! Cayln is my hygentist and she is the most gentle, understanding and listens. Dr. Howe is amazing. I'm feeling more and more confident and actually excited to go to the dentist now. Dr Howe and his staff do a great job from the moment of scheduling. They remind you of your appt via text message, which I appreciate since the appt is always made 6 months in advance. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful with insurance. The staff is quick and make it as painless as possible. They do a wonderful job on my 4 yr old daughter. My hygienist took plenty of time and was extremely thorough cleaning my teeth. The office has the latest technology. They have tv's in each room where they can show you your xrays or let you watch shows while your teeth are getting cleaned. The dentists are friendly and the staff are top notch.
