The in-office procedure was on-time, quick, super easy, pain free and both Dr. and his staff were fantastic. I left the office with a few cotton balls that needed to be changed for a day or so and some expected congestion however, post-procedural pain was minimal and responded nicely with Tylenol. One week post-op and my nasal breathing is better already and improving each day. I am continuing with the nasal saline rinsing protocol and I'm very excited about the expected final results in the upcoming weeks. Thanks again to Dr. Cohen, Lupe and the entire SCSI staff for all of their expertise, care and support. The only thing that I would change is that I could've/should've done this much sooner!

I was sent to him by my psychiatrist at the time to ask him to order genetic testing so I could find out what medications I am genetically predisposed to having reactions to, not necessarily allergic to, but to see what medications my body doesn't process properly. Sat down with him, explained what I said above, he said he wasn't familiar with the test in question at all, googled it on his tablet, read for about 30 seconds, then told me he wouldn't order that test, "it's not a valid test, this isn't something you should be ordering, I'll tell your psych the same thing." Then went on to say what he *could* do was do individual allergy testing of whatever medications my psych was *thinking* of ordering. I didn't go back because that isn't what I looking for. I got another doctor to order the genetic testing that Dr. Khadavi said "wasn't a valid test" because it *is* a valid test, and not only that, it was immensely more helpful in my treatment than one-by-one skin allergy testing could have been. What the results of the genetic testing showed was how quickly or slowly my body metabolizes diff medications, listed what medications I should absolutely stay away from, (several of which I already knew to be the case due to previous bad reactions, and not from allergic reactions), and what medications might be advantageous for me *to* take. A skin allergy test wasn't going to tell me about the metabolizing, and the extent of the genetic test would have been impossible for him to achieve with what he suggested. So, in saying the test wasn't valid, he wasn't being honest with me, I can only surmise that he just really wanted me to pay for extensive allergy testing that wouldn't have been necessary if the genetic testing went through. So, gonna pass on recommending this doctor; honesty is something I require in my medical relationships.

We've tried multiple approaches to identify the cause, so we were hoping for some answers. Today's appointment was a skin check. The nurse applied two test panels and waited 20 minutes for the results. To my untrained eye, it was clear that two spots showed a reaction. When the doctor came in, she reviewed the spots, made a few notes, and then suggested scheduling another appointment three days later. When I asked why we had to wait for the results--especially since she had just looked at the reaction--her response shocked me: she said it was because insurance doesn't pay for her time and that today's visit only reimbursed $10. Not to mention our $50 co-pay. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was painfully clear that the focus was on insurance and money rather than the welfare of my child. I left with a four-month-old baby who now has inflamed spots on his back, and still no answers. I hope no other parents have to experience this kind of prioritization of insurance over patient care.

The receptionist was rude for a very very long time, for as long as I could remember and Dr. Ramadas never gave me any treatments to help my asthma or allergies. Yes, she is kind, but all she did was have me do a breathing exercise or test every once in awhile and gave me inhalers which I could have gotten from my general doctor. I ended up stopping my allergy or asthma meds she gave me for years and I got diagnosed elsewhere right away. I'm sad I wasted thousands of dollars over the years to go here and never got any sort of answers or help. Glad this practice is closed.

When setting my appointment up I was told this was only going to be a consultation and we would have to do the testing on another date, but once I got there and talked with him, he did it same day and 25 minutes later I walked out knowing I am indeed allergic to dust mites, cats, rabbits, and major tree pollens. If necessary, I will for sure go back to him and I've also recommended him to a friend of mine who wants to find out if she's allergic to watermelon. He's got two offices, one in West Hills and one in Tarzana.

When we moved to the West Coast years ago I began getting sick all the time. I later developed severe allergies to foods and products. I became allergic to what felt like almost everything. I lived in misery for years. Even though I was being seen by different conventional doctors, my condition was getting worse with more issues (hives, rashes, sinusitis, abdominal pain, chronic fatigue, brain fog, lack of concentration, breathing issues and more). I got so sick I was unable to work. I eventually learned the reason my overall condition was not improving was because the physicians would only treat the symptoms and not the root cause.
