If you want unique and gorgeous wedding photos: you want Brian. We've received tons of compliments and I highly recommend picking him for your big day. - Throughout the entire process, Brian was very professional and had an answer to every question. He's experienced, and has a backup plan for every scenario, which made us feel very confident in him. - Brian was very easy going and open to suggestions during our engagement shoot. He made us feel much less awkward than we did going in. - Our wedding day was a blast and Brian and our second shooter (Luke) went with the flow for the sudden weather changes (which made our planned outdoor locations less than ideal) and were quick to adapt for every lighting scenario in our mostly dark venue. They made everyone feel at ease, even this high-strung-but-trying-to-be-chill bride. Brian and Luke got some amazing shots and did some really awesome edits / tricks with lighting which made for some very memorable photos. (We've gotten a lot of compliments!) - We got previews of our photos and the photos themselves very quickly after the wedding (within a month we had all the photos digitally, and only a couple weeks after that we had our little highlight video). And we received a thumb drive in the mail with all our images as well. - The Video Fusion add-on is something I'm so glad we decided to do with Brian. While we didn't want to pay for a full videographer, the video fusion gave us a four minute little highlight reel to capture the joy of the day in such a cool way. read more

We had a large family Christmas party that was going to include 4 generations all together in one place - the activity room at my grandmother's senior living facility. Brian was flexible and accommodating throughout! Family was running late because of snow - no problem, he popped out to see his grandmother for a bit and then came back. The surroundings in the activity room were less than glamorous - no problem, he figured out shots that did not accentuate the flowered carpet. Some family members were having trouble because of the large numbers of people in the activity room - no problem, he took pictures out in the hallway. He even hung out and ate soup after the pictures were done AND agreed to pose in a picture with my aunt (which I took and made the final cut!). Brian delivered a beautiful and thoughtful assortment of pictures that included every single family member multiple times and really captured the mood of the occasion. I am so grateful! read more

Brian is very creative and artistic. I love the vintage and dramatic lighting affects to his photos. Anyone can take a photograph but few can create a work of art. You can tell how passionate he is about his job and will go the extra mile to get the perfect shot. He is a very nice person to work with and makes everything so easy and not stressful. I don't typically write reviews but this is one of those times I'll gladly make an exception. Brian Slawson was one of the many photographers we considered for photographing our engagement portraits and our wedding but after looking at his portfolio and meeting him for five minutes we threw all of the other names out. Brian was easy to work with, flexible with his engagement shoot (he worked completely around our schedule), he was always prepared, had a great attitude, and made what could have been a stressful day very simple. Our wedding day was fantastic and Brian and his assistant Isaiah only made it easier by not giving us anything to worry about. He even gave my wife extra batteries for the lights built into her bouquet! Brian Slawson was easily accessible anytime we had a question, from the day we booked him until we received our edited images, and always responded promptly to emails and voicemails. I "interviewed" about 50 photographers for our reception, but Brian made our photographer choice easy. He was the most fun, easy to work with, and yet professional. He was what I wanted - someone artistic, open, somewhat quirky and easy to talk to. He was even willing to do some special film photography, which I'm sure involved more time and research on his part. We were planning our reception long distance, so we were in a different part of the country than Brian. It was easy to contact him through Skype and he was very responsive to emails. He was flexible enough to allow us to do our engagement shoot the same week as our reception, as we were only in town for 10 days. The day of our reception and during our engagement he was on time and worked very go-with-the-flow. He even showed up early to the reception to take photos of the decor, which I thought was a nice touch. He accommodated all our requests and all the guests loved him. He even laughed along with my husband's and best friend's jokes, which can border on inappropriate! Brian's brother was his assistant the day of the reception, and he was just as great as Brian was and they worked very well together. He was courteous to everyone and informed me when they would leave so we could get any last shots in. He followed through with the timeline given to get the images back. He threw in a few funny photos that told the story of the day and made us laugh. A selfie was in there too! My long distance family and friends were able to view all the images online. The photography was the most important thing for me, and I couldn't have ask for a better photographer. read more
