This place is so inconsistent. I was here 2 weeks ago and ordered wings "extra crispy". They were great. Tonight i ordered them the same way. They were brought out not even browned and rubbery. I asked for them to go back through the oven. They came back out browned on one side, rubbery on the other. So they went back through a 3rd time. The waiter, Caleb, did a good job but should have been more attentive to what he was bringing out. It's always a wait here but I don't mind when the food is on point. We travel to Harrison to visit family regularly and have enjoyed this restaurant several times. Tonight, we walked in to enjoy a drink and a little food at 9:25 pm. Knowing the restaurant closes at 10, we figured it would be a quick bite. When we entered, the bartender told us he'd already made the last call. It's a bit disappointing to receive service that way. This place has really improved!!! Went in for a late lunch with my husband. We shared a Greek salad. Then I had a meatball sandwich and he had an Italian trio pizza! Awesome!! The food was fresh, cooked to order and soooooo good! We even got a tour of the brewery they have in site. Soooo cool. I will be back! Love this place, our waiter was Jake and his service is amazing and the food is fabulous! The kitchen staff was loud and unruly, one guy was hollering from the kitchen to one of the waitress about what type bread a customer wanted. I've eaten here at least eight times in the past 18 months and have never had a bad experience or pizza. I don't think we have ever ordered anything other than the "Double Trouble Brick". It might just be my favorite pizza from anyplace, ever. I love this place and look forward to stopping in after a weekend of climbing every time we come through town. Let's start with the good. The calzone was decent. Not terrific but certainly not bad. The sausage was disappointing though. It looked liked rabbit pellets and was flavorless. Also the calzone has mozzarella but no ricotta. I'm used to ricotta in my calzone. It was also a little on the thin side but it was cheap so not complaining. Sauce had too much dried oregano. It wasn't balanced. It wasn't terrible just not great. I still ate it. The server redeemed herself. See the bad section below. The bad is that I walked in on a Tuesday at 4:30. It was dead. Still took forever to get service. Then when I asked for a beer list was told they don't have one. When I asked how do I know what is on tap was told, "you can see them behind me." Really? That really irks me. Have a beer list. How hard is it to put them in an Excel sheet and print them off? The tap isn't close to the far end of the bar and I couldn't see them. Then the bartender told me they had OFallon. That works with Bud Light, when it is a specific beer, but this is akin to saying we have Anheuser Busch. Great, what kind? She did answer my question. I was in for a leisurely evening. If I was in a rush service may have been too slow. I will say though that the bartender was reasonable attentive after I got my first beer and even gave me a sample of one. They have 14 beers on tap but still nothing special. From what I can tell though it is still probably the best beer selection in Harrison. Overall I would return to see how everything is on another night. Still probably the best atmosphere in Harrison. I would like to see really friendly bar staff. That would make a huge difference. read more

Brick oven pizza is what it sounds like: a pizza restaurant specializing in thinner, crispy, brick oven-fired crust. With liquor by the drink now being offered in Harrison, the sports bar feel Brick Oven has is much more practical, and at the time this review is being written, it's the only place like this in the town (which definitely works to their advantage). Service and consistency are the only reason this place gets 3 stars instead of 4. Depending on who you get as your server, you will be forgotten, get incorrect orders, have an awkward server experience, or actually have a pleasant time. The food quality also varies on the time of day...which is unfortunate because when its good, it's great! There are a decent variety of specialty pizzas here (I would like to see a few more) and my personal recommendations are the cheeseburger (with a mustard flavor blended in, topped with assorted cheeseburger-like toppings down to the pickles!) or the "double trouble brick" ( a generous amount of pepperoni with hit sauce). The only thing that could make the pizzas better is if the crust was a little thicker. This is just a personal preference for me, as most people enjoy the thinner crust. If you're like me, then I would suggest Leonardo's Pizza (my favorite in Harrison). Brick Oven's other offerings are pretty good as well. Their quesadilla is my favorite thing to order overall, and their sandwiches are a close second. If your wanting to go out on the weekend and have a drink or two with some friends, Brick oven is probably the best place to do it in Harrison. After all, it's hard to beat pizza and cold beer. read more

I love this place and it's my go-to when I'm in town. The food is really good and they have a decent bar and the bar tender/ waitress is great.. I've never had a bad experience on the bar side. They have an outdoor area with a jukebox and some games. In the dining area on the other hand, I would pass. Just get the pizza to go. The 2 xs I dined over there I had inattentive condescending servers, my food was cold, etc etc. I ordered a beer with my pizza and one of the guys acted like it was a burden and and was visibly upset about it. Great spot! Excellent pizza and the prices were awesome. What I liked the most was that it was relaxed and they serve Dead Guy Ale on draft. The pizza was a half and half and was delicious. As one person pointed out the Calzone has mozzarella, no ricotta, still tasty, the sauce was fine by me. Here's my entire review cause I can't get past this one thing. We ordered two sandwiches to go by phone. When my wife picked them up, the woman at the front handed her the order (it was sitting by the register) and the bill. She then said, "you can leave me a tip."
