Wow! Not knowing where to eat we of course Yelped it! Never steers us wrong and Jamie's was another example of a perfect choice for us. On our way to Branson we stopped and had such a great meal. The food was fantastic, grilled Catfish was the best fish we've ever had anywhere. It was perfectly cooked and didn't taste like the bottom of the lake! Really awesome flavors and the grilled veggies with it were amazing. Appetizer sampler became dinner later for us with portions being so huge. The wait staff were remarkable and worked as a seamless team to cover the entire restaurant during lunch rush. The restaurant is cozy but really big once you explore around. A very down HOME restaurant with good old-fashioned food. I can't say it's anything outstandingly special, but whatever you order taste quite good. The service is good. They wait on you and make sure you have everything you need filling up your glasses when you run out of your drinks.. it's always clean and the tables are set. We stopped for lunch after leaving Branson. This was a clean, family-friendly restaurant with a wide selection of food options. Our group had: Chicken Cobb salad, chicken pot pie and salad. & roast beef sandwich. The sandwich was tasty with brown gravy and mashed potatoes. The Cobb salad was good and the grilled chicken on top was a nice touch. Chicken pot pie was piping hot-lots of carrots, peas, & chicken. Side salad with in- house made 1000 Island dressing was just the right size. For dessert, we had caramel pecan cheesecake and Snickers pie. The cheesecake was creamy & delicious. Last night I ordered the 12 oz ribeye "blue rare ". What I got was probably medium rare. The steak had lots of gristle and was hard to cut and chew. I expected more for a $22 steak. We weren't offered drink refills. I felt sorry for our server. From her limp I could tell she was in pain. I tipped her well in spite of mediocre service. Jamie's has lots of great items on their menu. Next time I'll know better than to order a steak. read more

Had gone up to Ponco to look at the Elk, and we were staying in Harrison. We couldn't decide on where to eat then we saw Jamie's! The sign just grabbed us and we knew we had to go try it. First off, the staff was very friendly greeting us when we came in (Party of 7) and accommodated us very well, even with it being a Saturday night. Our waiter was quick, and friendly. Asking us where we were from and what brought us to Harrison. The conversation was perfect. The food came out in a timely manner, and was cooked to perfection. We had order fried mushrooms and fried pickles to start anf they were sooooo good. Main courses came out and my wife got the BBQ platter which was phenomenal. Meat fell off the bone. I got the chicken fried chicken. It just melted in my mouth. The mashed potatoes on the side were creamy, not watery and great. Baked beans and broccoli cheddar casserole were so good as well. We ordered 2 senior takeout catfish dinners and got one! The person who took our order really messed up. However, the manager was kind enough to give us a credit for our next order. The baked potato looked like it had been in the oven for several hours and was burned inside the skin. UGH! The mashed potatoes and gravy were awful! I don't like lumpy mashed potatoes with peelings. NO substitutes, so we were charged extra for baked beans and msahed potatoes. They even charged a carry-out fee! Not again. BTW, the catfish was the only redeeming item in the meal. Aye here on a Friday for lunch. Quickly seated and order taken. I got the woo pig sandwich with fries. The sandwich was awesome and the bits of jalepenos were just right. My son got the hickory smoked burger and said the flavor was "top shelf." Customer service was awesome and it is a family owned restaurant. Highly recommend you stop by. read more

Stopped by on a Thursday. Ordered the special. Was chicken stuffed with cheese and broccoli. It was also covered in a cheese sauce. For my sides, I had fried okra and a sweet potato. The chicken breast was incredibly large, and stuffed as full as possible. They did not skimp on the food. In fact when I picked up my to go box, I was shocked at how heavy it was. It was very flavorful and had the right amount of spice. The fried okra did not taste like had come out of a premade bag. It tasted very good. And the margarine and the brown sugar topped off perfectly the sweet potato. Will definitely Come by again when I'm in town. read more

It was, at best, room temperature. So we're the green beans (vegetable of the day) that came with the meal. Food needs to be steamy hot when served... Our server was an absolute Angel! The person seating us was miserable never even spoke a word to us just looked pissed off that she had to do her job. We walked in before another couple and they had to tell her we were there first and she was even more pissed off someone had to tell her how to do her job. Honestly the experience was odd but I would never leave a review for just this. The food was terrible weird flavors all around the only thing good was the biscuit and the fountain drinks. We were traveling to Branson and decided to stay the night in Harrison. It was easy to find, next to several hotels. My husband got the 3 cheeseburgers with fries and I got the chicken salad wrap with pecans and balsamic glaze and sweet potato fries. The wrap was very good. I could only eat half. But.....OMG those sweet potato fries were just wonderful. They were cut thinner and were crispy. But the part was the little cup of deliciousness that came with the fries. It was like a thick caramel. Dip those fries into it and you're in heaven! We got unsweet teas that were served in large wide mouth mason jars. The service was friendly and efficient. The menu is so diverse, it took a few minutes to decide. We also got fried pickles to start. I've had a lot of fried pickles. These were just ok. The ambiance is casual. Nothing fancy. Food was not good at all. The chicken fried steak was tough and the breading just fell off. The mashed potatoes are overloaded with garlic and the corn tastes dirty. The broasted chicken was undercooked which was a total turn off for the entire meal. The service was great and the atmosphere is nice but a lot more care could go into their food. What a fantastic place!! My wife and I found this gem while travelling for our anniversary and enjoyed it so much the first time that we ended up going back again the same weekend. I like to be adventuresome food wise when I travel to hit the same place up twice on a single trip it has to really stand out. Jamie's did just that. If you can't find something on their menu that appeals to you, you are probably dead. We sampled multiple selections over the weekend and they were all excellent. Service was great and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. They have a large dinning area and they need it. They were busy both times we went but the wait was never more that 15 mins or so. We weren't greeted by the hostess, we were more like stared at until we spoke! When I said there were only two of us she again just stared and then walked off! Very odd for a hostess! Located next to our hotel it was walking distance. Wait was not bad, but we arrived around 1 pm on a Sunday. Food was delicious even though we couldn't finish, but great for left overs later. Our Deep Fried Bacon appetizer (battered and deep-fried) with Ranch dressing was a huge hit! Slightly greasy, but hey - it is bacon and it tasted GREAT!! Big serving; my wife & I had some left to take home. My wife loved the Chicken & Waffles, which is saying a lot (we love C&W and try it everywhere). Her sides were Mac & Cheese (w bacon in it!), and Baked Beans (more bacon bits)! My Broasted Fried Chicken & Catfish Combo meal was good; dry crispy catfish, with small but flavor-packed pieces of chicken. My Mashed Potatoes & Fried Okra sides were good (albeit lacking bacon - hah!). Yummm! The desserts looked great, but we were STUFFED.
