Good sandwiches with a nice view. What a cute little spot to get lunch! Their muffuletta is top tier! That would be the reason I'd go back a 2nd day in a row!! They also have salads. Their shrimp Caesar was great!! The shrimp were delicious and fresh! If you're ever in the area you should definitely stop by!

This place is amazing! The people make you feel like they've known you forever. The atmosphere, the food , everything makes you want to stay and come back again and again! The pickles are delicious. I had to go back and get more.

This is an unassuming place that you would likely pass by in anywhere USA. We stopped here around 12pm on a Sunday after morning mass. This is a walk-up, order at the counter, and seat yourself place. Accordingly we reviewed the menu, ordered, and then went to a table (outside on their small back deck). They brought our food out, and delivered it to our table in 10 minutes or so. After we chose a table, while we waited for our food during that brief time, we walked around the restaurant looking at the local arts/crafts they sell there. The food was DELICIOUS! We both ordered the Philly cheesesteak (pictured). It is made with roast beef (or chipped chicken) but don't let that fool you. This sandwich is packed with flavor and has a delicious fresh and savory flavor with the veggies, cheese, and aioli. Not only is the flavor great, the sandwich is a very generous portion. Two sandwiches, 2 bags of chips, 2 drinks, 2 cookies, and a pasta salad was about $40. All-in-all, service was friendly and fast, and the food was great! The restaurant itself is clean and unassuming with a genuine market/cafe atmosphere. NOTE: while there is a fair amount of seating, and we had no problem finding a seat, when we were leaving around 1pm, there was a steady stream of people coming in. If you want a nice no-fuss casual lunch/dinner that doesn't skimp on flavor, quality, or service, then stop into this place!!

Best sandwich in town, big portion, friendly staff, nice vibe in historical downtown. Everything is freshly made, they have seasonal menu so customers can try different sandwich throughout the year. It would be better if their food wasn't so salty, salad dressing, sandwich spread is too salty for me. Po'boy is the best because it is the least salty so I can taste all the ingredients: shrimp, tomato, onion....

Quirky and quaint! You find parking as close as you can, walk in and go to the counter. I got the flatbread with shrimp. I forget the actual name. But it was very good. You pick your seat after you order and pay. Service is great. Everything was perfect.

Great outside sitting area and amazing food! Was completely empty when our group of eight showed up and the food was done very fast. Everything was great from po'boys to the flat breads. Will be visiting again soon!

Quaint little hole-in-the-wall place with good food. I ordered the Italian flatbread which was loaded with cheese and toppings.

Wow!!! Such a cute little hole in the wall spot…read more When you pull up don't be scared of the outside, this place is a southern gem! Mallory is the owners daughter and absolutely makes this place an incredible experience. From her friendly attitude to her great insights she makes you feel like you're right at home. Now to the food, I ordered the fried green tomato BLT with avocado plus a side of fries and baked beans and it was all so good!! I'd highly recommend this place and will be back if in the area!

This place is amazing…read more I have been here several times on y trips to Vicksburg and Port Gibson. It is part roadside shack, vegetable seller, and food spot. Until this last trip I had never had the sandwich that made them famous. Now that I have, I can say that this is a must stop. Heck, it may be worth a drive if you are within an hour or two. The only thing you need to know is that you must order a fried green tomato BLT. In my entire life I have never intentionally ordered a BLT. To me, this is the most dumb idea for a sandwich I have ever heard of. Until now. This is quite possibly one of teh most perfect sandwiches I have ever had. It is so great that I wanted a second when I was done but it definitely would not have been as good later as it was fresh. Amazing. Service was as friendly as one should expect from a roadsie shack such as this. The one worker took our order, made it, delievered it, and gave us some pork rinds with their homemade hot sauce to try. That was a solid thing to do as it made me buy two of their hot sauces stored in old coke bottles. Just come here. Order the BLT. Thank me later.

Wow!! It's my first time going through Mississippi on a road trip and we just happened to stop by…read morehere for some sandwiches. I learned that it is a Mississippi chain-perfect! We got the half Italian and half Honey bbq. Sides were steamed broccoli and potato salad. The sides were ok but the standouts were definitely the sandwiches. I wasn't expecting them to be so good. I imagined they would be on par with Subway but nope, they came out so quickly and warm. The cheese on the honey bbq melted so beautifully and loveee the sweetness of it too. The sourness of the Dijon mustard coupled perfectly with the Italian meats. You may dine in but we got them to go to eat while on the road. The staff was patient with while we looked at the menu. It looks like if you sign up for rewards, you get a famous sweet tea! I don't get why they have negative reviews. This place definitely deserves 5 stars!

I telephoned the restaurant to ask what type of bread both sandwiches came on, first time the call dropped (right)? Called back to ask to speak to manager , I asked the same question. I was told the sandwiches come on ciabatta however, they were out of the ciabatta and substituted the bread. I indicated the bread looks like hot dog buns. I stated, wouldn't it be better if you informed the customer you were out of the bread and give them the option of canceling the order. She agreed, and apologized. However, I did not feel as if she was sorry for my inconvenience. This was my absolute last time to order from this McAllister. The sad part is that we don't have a lot of restaurants so why not be the best at what you do. Let's do better people.

I am 100% convinced that the woman at the front did not want us at the restaurant. I'll just say that I'm a little on the "dark side" & my wife is from "further south". I don't know if she was an employee or the owner, because she didn't utter a word to us when we walked in. We were the only customers in the restaurant at the time. She was wearing an apron so I assume she was the chef. From the time my wife and I walked in, she glanced up, saw us, then did not make eye contact again. She didn't greet us or acknowledge our existence for a few minutes. We travel heavily throughout East Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, and Southwest Virginia for workk. This type of behavior is almost NEVER experienced by us when we frequent local businesses and restaurants. It must be something different out here in Mississippi... Didn't even matter that we were both wearing our Veterans hats, which we usually do when traveling through "certain areas" of the country. I can only imagine how she would have reacted if we had worn the hats of our home countries of Haiti & Colombia! Anyway, the young man that did service us was very polite and helpful. The brisket was exceptionally delicious, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The potato salad and the mac & cheese were a little under seasoned. We had to add some salt and pepper to make it better. The young man informed us that this was the first day that they were offering blackberry and blueberry topped parfaits. We also ordered one of those. It tasted delicious! My wife was very happy with it, and she is not a fan of sweets at all. All in all, it was a good meal that would have been great had there been a little more hospitality. This was our first time, so there may be some things that I missed. Maybe this is one of those Seinfeld "soup not-see" places. No chit chat. Just take your food and go. We will most likely order again on our way back, but I think I'll have to make a new DoorDash account so that my food doesn't get tampered with. I mean, that brisket was ON POINT! .
