Friendly service. We went for early dinner (around 5) so it was fairly empty when we arrived, and we took advantage of their outdoor seating. The food came out reasonably quickly with the cauliflower coming first as requested but the server said they also "ran out of side plates; is that ok or do you want us to wash some for you?" What?!?! I said it's fine and that we would just eat off the serving plates but seriously, what kind of question is that to ask a customer?? Food wise, it was fine. We had originally wanted pizza so the flatbread was my kid's fave item. Hubs liked the burger and fries. The Buffalo cauliflower was either overly salty or had too much sauce; we would not get that again. Everything else was fine. I enjoy places with limited menus that works hard to make good food. The restaurant was adhering to Covid rules and definitely ensured proper spacing of tables. Staff were friendly and prompt. We had the Mac and cheese with elk and bison sausage. The sausages were amazing. The elk was my favorite and it was spicy and juicy. My preference, in general, for Mac and cheese leans to MORE CHEESE PLEASE!! But this dish was really good. Definitely going back to try their burgers. After a week in RMNP, it was so nice to start our progressive dinner here. The Happy Hour cocktails and beer were phenomenal, and the Buffalo Cauliflower is definitely worth getting. The Moscato hit the spot for me. The waitstaff is super friendly. If you're worried about COVID, don't be here. Wow, what an awesome place and Madelyn ROCKS!!!! It was Saturday night, packed with an hour or more wait and Madelyn was the only person behind the bar serving the entire restaurant and bar and handled it flawlessly, with grace and a beautiful smile. Clearly she deserves a big raise and maybe even a bar-back!!!!! My margarita was awesome and the burger was great with a lovely atmosphere and a super friendly staff. I'm not sure if it's bc of short staffing or what...party of 4 and none of us ever received a refill, we didn't get silverware so my kids had to wait 10 mins with their food in front of them (getting cold) while the waitress had to go wash some for them (I don't see that as her fault) oh and we all 4 shared 1 napkin bc she never came back after our food came to the table and she brought my kids their forks. On a trip to this beautiful part of the country we had the pleasure of stopping in for a bite to eat here with the family. Four adults and four tired and hungry children. We enjoyed their green pork chili to start and it was smokey and spicy with a nice acidic zip. Really enjoyed that cup of soup. Our giant pretzel didn't last long and was shared by everyone - it was huge, warm and salty. The BBQ pork tacos were good but had more kale than cabbage slaw and was missing the crema listed in the description (I only mention it because I thought they would be that much better). The loaded mac n cheese was delicious and creamy with pulled pork and breadcrumbs that added texture... very filling and loaded with cheese. My son gave the thumbs up to the Grilled cheese (which had to be true because he ate it all - minus the crusts). Now for the Brickhouse Bowl... garlic mashed potatoes, pulled pork, chicken tenders, corn, gravy, cheddar and scallions???? Yeah, it was awesome and filled my brother in law right up. Denver native here and this place has the best fettuccine I've had hands down. I ate here several months ago and the food was alright but I came this week and was throughly impressed with the food but not the workers. The girls working on the floor are very la de da in their heads and seem wrapped up in flirting with customers and their other staff members. I know servers and people that sit down others they have to be 'nice' but their nice was over sexualized and unprofessional to the point where it made me uncomfortable. I get people have their work relationships and stuff but this was extremely unprofessional. The meal I had was very good but I wouldn't recommend this place to go with your wife or partner or family. I don't really remember the staff last time I stopped in several months ago so I'm not sure if these girls are new or what but it's pretty weird. Would rather have a young man greeting people being cordial than a young woman being very weird. A1 pasta, F front line staff or however you want to call them. OVERALL I've lived in Denver for my entire life and I do like to check places within a few hours out if I'm in the area but I would not recommend this place for their service.
