My husband had the Brickhouse Burger, and it was delicious, too! Our server was Karen, and she was friendly and attentive. Was looking for a good burger and beer after a long hike. Was not disappointed here at all. I had the small Brickhouse salad followed by the Brickhouse burger and fries. It was the best burger I've had on this Rocky Mountain vacation. Perfectly cooked with a generous portion of bacon. I kept moaning as I ate it. The Hubs had a beer burger that was so good he actually didn't talk thru his meal coz he was so busy enjoying it. We had the Avalanche amber ale and the O'Dells IPA to help wash everything down. I came here last fall and they had an INCREDIBLE grilled cheese with great pizza but today our waitress informed us this is their "summer menu" missing both the grilled cheese and pizza :( They have an excellent selection of cocktails that are not too expensive. I really like the open feeling, and as stated above this would be a great place for larger groups with several longer tables and a larger private room in the back. Using the check-in coupon through Yelp, we were able to get a free glass of wine so be sure to do that! Our waitress, Danielle, was incredibly accommodating and seems like a very hard worker. Not great. I got the balsamic chicken. The portion size was very small and the chicken was overcooked and dry. The mashed potatoes had no flavor. The grilled vegetables were plentiful and cooked well. They were my favorite part of the meal. My daughter had the adult fettuccine with a meatball and was unimpressed. She's a pain though, so who knows. My wife will eat anything and enjoyed her meal well enough. She's unhelpful in reviewing food. Service was very good. The hostess was kind and warned us in advance that they were short staffed in the kitchen and our meals might take a bit. Staffing issues definitely could have contributed to the food quality. Covid rules so I had take out only. 4 stars was mostly for the packaging which was simply a cardboard container which made meal cold by the time I got back to the hotel. Recommend at least some foil to retain heat, especially in the winter. I did ask for the burger to be medium also and it still looked a little more on the rare side as well. With new ownership, this small town Granby business has upped its game providing servers and chefs who care about your dining experience. My husband and I miss the fall/winter menu, but were delighted with our summer choices! The coconut shrimp appetizer was fresh tasting and coconutty served with 6 large shrimp atop a remoulade. We ordered the Detroit Deep dish pizza which was truly amazing! Not a Chicago pie, not a New York Pie and not a Colorado Mountain Pie--a unique experience on its own. The crust is made with a starter that the chef uses a quarter of yesterday's to make fresh dough today. Very consistent method! The sauce and sausage, I am sure were housemade. The deep dish has a hearty crust, but it's not to be mistaken for thick crust-the deep dish part is actually all the goodies (toppings) that they put! We tried to eat 3 pieces each-good luck! You might be taking some home for another delicious meal! Oh, and I received a free glass of wine with my Yelp check in! There is a variety of seating from bar seating, high top large and small tables, couch/bench seating and regular dining room. Later in the day, they often have live music. It is located in the heart of downtown Granby, about 25-30 minutes north of Winter Park. I was visiting some people in Granby and decided to check this place out because they had a really good beer on tap. I can honestly leave a review about the following items. The BIG PRETZEL, on the menu it states you receive (2). You actually only receive (1). We questioned our waitress about this and she stated that they changed with a newer pretzel and I thenrebutted as why did you change the menu. That's neither here or there because the pretzel was tremendously overcooked and it really sucked. They really don't have that much of a selection on the menu for dinner items they only have like six or seven entrées and I was not impressed so I actually just decided to order off the children's menu. I ordered a grilled chicken dinner for children with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. The food came out it was completely cold and inedible. The grilled vegetables I received were essentially some burnt cauliflower and broccoli. Quite frankly it was nothing more than scraps at the end of a bag. I of course sent the meal back because I was not wanting to wait another 20 - 30 minutes for a new plate. Everybody was raving about the Elk Chili. I ordered a bowl of that and It seems like whoever created this recipe was trying to make a bowl of TEXAS RED. The chili had pretty decent spice but it was way too much of a tomato flavor and my gosh they must've put 8 ounces of sour cream on top of it. I was reading the other reviews on yelp about this place and I will tell you this there must be a lot of pot smokers here in Colorado that will eat anything because this place is garbage. I have to leave at least one star rating on yelp but honestly this place doesn't even deserve that. If you're ever in Granby I really suggest you go to the Granby garage which is about a block down the street they have an awesome selection and I've been there several times and the food is pretty decent for the middle of a ski resort area type town. In the restaurants defense they did take my order off the ticket and even offered to buy me a beer or provide me with a piece of cheesecake or an ice cream sundae of which I declined. read more

The hostess with the most! Best Service. We arrived in Granby after getting rained out of our backpacking trip in the Rockies. Brickhouse 40 was close to where we stayed for the night so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived there was a line out the door. Jill, the hostess worked diligently and with a smile to take everyone's name and number for the wait list. In addition, she was seating, running water, and silverware to each table. There were children running and playing playing in the wait area and she just continued to greet everyone with a smile. She is a multitasking queen. When our table was ready she phoned us and seated us promptly, even with a line out the door she brought us water and silverware and told us thank you for coming in. She is quite brilliant. I've never seen someone work while juggling so many tasks as quickly, joyfully, and enthusiastically as Jill did. Our waiter Johnny was wonderful as well. The food was good, and quick. I'm guessing the chef changed... this was the second time I've had their specially Brickhouse burger. Both times the meat was completely unseasoned the bun is too thin so the bottom is completely soaked and mushy to where you can't even tell it's a bun anymore. They slap a handful of arugula on it and that's all you can even taste. If you keep it on there. The bacon was fine but nothing special. I gave the waitress $30 for the $18 meal so that when I gave her a little feedback for the chef I wasn't a complete jerk. The asparagus had zero flavor as well. There was no spice added. No salt, no pepper, not even butter after plating, nothing.... Pretty sure they just buy Pattie's from Sysco and slap in on the grill with no care.... Totally disappointed compared to what it used to be... which was five stars We are a catering company in Utah that specializes in serving hand cut ribeye dinners to groups or companies of up to 400 people. we used to come here every time we were in town and get their stuffed burger that they took off the menu over years ago. read more
