Hidden in the…read morePavilion Community Center is an indoor play space, and even more wonderfully is a beautiful carousel. My daughter LOVES them so I surprised her with a visit here. She enjoyed playing at the indoor playground and I really appreciated that in addition to the large climbing and play maze they had a couple of small play structures for the littler kids. My own kid was just the right size that she could play pretty safely on both. The carousel was, of course, the piece de resistance. It is really beautiful. There are about a dozen and a half horses (zebra included) and a swan chariot for when you want to sit (and, since we did over a dozen rides, I did need to sit since I was so dizzy!). My only complaint is that there are no restraints on the horses. The other carousels we've been on have some sort of strap to wrap around, but not here. The carousel doesn't move at lightening speed of course but some added safety measure besides just me holding her on the horse would put me at ease. The place is available for rent, which is cool. For individual, single-day entry, it's only $6 which is one of the best bargains in the suburbs tbh. That's for unlimited rides. The worst part is the hours! They're only open Monday through Friday from 10-2, so that really limits the times we'll be able to visit unless I use PTO to come by. I've heard that they're doing some renovations or something though so who knows, perhaps it'll grow in popularity and they'll increase their hours.

There's a carousel (like a legit, big one with hand-painted horses) and a circus-themed play area with tunnels, slides, and all kinds of things for kids to climb around on. We had about 15-20 kids there, from toddlers up to around 8, and it was perfect, everyone had something to do the whole time. The carousel was probably the highlight. The bigger kids loved it, and even the little ones could ride with a parent, which was really nice. Also have to shout out the staff, they were super helpful with setup and cleanup, which made everything way easier. The space itself is really practical too, lots of tables, outlets (we plugged in a slow cooker for hot dogs), and you can bring your own food. We kept it simple with hot dogs and pasta salad and it worked out great. Overall just a really fun, easy place to host a party. Definitely recommend for kids 8 and under!

Because it's so popular, they use timed entries to give more families a chance to enjoy it without crowding. It's located inside the Spring Valley Nature Center, so after playtime, you can wander the trails or explore more of the natural area. A great combo of fun + learning + nature. Perfect for an afternoon with littles

My understanding was we were allowed to stay for one hour, and it was well worth the nominal admission fee! It had all the best components of a park, with lots of attention being focused on exploration and discovery. I did not see any swings, but there was plenty to climb on and signs posted everywhere encouraging the parents to not be helicopter parents... to let their child explore and try to problems solve on their own. There was a man-made creek running through one edge of the park and half the children were in bathing suits and had shovels and buckets with them. My grandkids declared it the best park they've ever visited! The playground is attached to a large piece of land that has tons of walking paths and picnic areas along with nice bathrooms and an educational nature center! It would be very easy to spend the better part of a day here!

What a waste of time!…read more So we have passes to Legoland in Florida and with our pass one of our benefits is we get to go to all other attractions they own in America so we were like why not come here it's something new! Upon arrival we went to the front desk where their employee started off immediately telling us we can't go in because we don't have a kid which we were unaware of and that didn't really matter to us because we go to parks and attractions all over the world it's part of what we do I said this to her and she instantly started like shaming us for wanting to come here which I don't understand why as yes there are kids attractions but there's also a 4D cinema as well as a dark ride from what I can see online and those alone would be cool to experience because why not. So it does say you have to have a kid on their website where you buy tickets which is something that we didn't check because we already have a pass benefit to come here which when we bought the passes it doesn't say anywhere that you have to have a kid to come here it just has a list of attractions we can get into! That right there needs to be explained better to the point of why are we paying for benefits that we can't use? Like I said we visit and experience attractions for all ages all over the world and it was a bummer not being able to come here just for that reason alone as us seeing what their is to do here isn't hurting anyone it actually would have been in their benefit to let us experience it as we have many friends with kids in the area as well as well as those who travel to attractions all over so now when we get asked how our experience was we will let them know not to go here and by the other Yelpers reviews I can tell that it's only a matter of time until this place closes their doors along with the rest of the business dying in the area. Overall the vibe with their employee was very awkward and this whole experience was a total waste of our time!

It's hard to find a redeeming quality about this place. I can easily list everything you'll find…read moreinside: - an admittedly impressive large recreation of Chicago with a ton of Easter eggs to be found - a really small jungle section with like three large animals built out - a virtual reality ride that costs extra - a ride/game where you shoot at targets and projector screens as you go through the ride - a helicopter kind of ride that goes around like a merry-go-round and you can go up and down - a little indoor playground - a 10-ish minute 4D movie (so 3D glasses, wind blows on you, a little water sprays on you) - a few free build areas with Lego and Duplo - a little cafe - a Lego store on your way out That reads like a lot, right? I mean, it's fine for a couple hours, but it's really not worth the price of admission. If you have a kid who is of an age that might like this, you're probably better off going to one of those indoor playground where they only charge per child and not adult. The literal only thing of interest to an adult here would be the Chicago display, older kids will probably get bored too easily, and younger kids will probably play most with the indoor playground like mine did. Don't be fooled - this is nothing like the large Legoland theme parks elsewhere. The Dave & Busters in the same strip mall has more to do than here. Heck the furniture store is bigger. Maybe if you have cheap or free tickets it's an ok way to kill time, but don't make a trip out of it.
