I've spent several hundred dollars at this location over the years and it has always been my go-to store for LEGO-related purchases. The staff at the local level have generally been helpful, which makes this review disappointing to write. Recently, however, I've become aware of corporate policies and practices that I find deeply concerning. After looking into the issue just a little more, I no longer feel comfortable supporting the company. What troubles me most is the apparent lack of accountability when problems arise. From what I've seen, the company appears more focused on protecting itself than making things right for customers when concerns are raised. I'm intentionally not getting into every detail here, as I encourage people to do their own research and come to their own conclusions. What I can say is that the information I found has significantly changed my opinion of the company and its leadership. As a longtime customer who has spent a substantial amount of money with Bricks & Minifigs and based on what I've learned, I will no longer be shopping here. read more

This is such a great place to throw a birthday party. Lynnette (the store owner), Gabrielle (the party host) and the rest of the staff have been so easy and awesome to work with. They were attentive to our needs and made sure our party went smoothly. Highly recommend this party place if you have a kid that loves LEGOs :) They have a retail store across from the party room and have all the cool LEGO figures you can think of. It is definitely a kid's LEGO paradise. The location was also convenient. There was even a cake shop (CAKE IT) next door to them that was easy to bring the birthday cake to. How convenient !! We love Bricks and Minifigs. While they do have pretty pricey legos it's a great PARTY spot for a kids birthday. They get to build, race a lego car, and you get a huge party room where you can bring your own food and cake, etc and they cleaned everything up for us. We did my daughter's 6th birthday party there and maxed out the number of kids allowed. We had plenty of room, seating for everyone (including parents,) and every kid got to take 2 Minifigs home with them! What an awesome concept and why didn't I think of it before? My Lego fan(s) not only like the sets but he also likes the minifigures that come with them. Sometimes he buys sets *just* for the minifigs inside. So what if you have a million bricks already but want a rare figure, or even a custom minifig, like a Zombie fighter? Bricks and Minifigs is the perfect answer. They have a huge selection of minifigs, all available individually. Now, the prices are fairly high (in my opinion) but to a Lego fan whose allowance is burning a hole in his pocket, maybe they're reasonable. My son easily spent 45 minutes in the small shop obsessing over which minifig or BrickArms weapon to buy. Apparently they will buy used Lego pieces and resell them, which could come in handy one day when Lego's fall out of favor at my house. The guys behind the counter knew their stuff and were patient with all the questions from the many young customers. I predict many requests to go back to this shop from my minifig fan. read more

This is a great place to throw a lego themed party... I love the open ended ness of thé party. kids can participate in games based on building legos and racing them it just sit and build. Fun place, friendly staff. They just changed their location, so it took a bit of driving around to find the new place on 117th. One wall has complete sets, and the display cases contain minifigs and other specialty sets. The center aisle contains bins of minifig pieces and bulk bricks. I love playing with Legos, but I'm not a Lego geek, so I don't know whether the prices for mini-figs are competitive. $10 for a custom minifig seemed a bit steep to me, but I also associate minifigs as something I would accidentally step on if my younger brother didn't put all of his toys away, so I'm probably not the best person to ask. Overall seems like a good place to get rare sets, build custom minifigs, or buy common pieces in bulk. Wish they had a more extensive inventory, so hopefully in their new location they can expand. read more

Such a cool idea for a store. Was walking into the mall with my two year old and he was drawn to this place like a magnet. Legos everywhere! Pieces for the kids to play with and bun after bun of pieces to sort and buy. My favorite was a bin in the back full of Lego character parts. I built our whole family out! Unfortunately another little guys thought it was cool too and took them from me. Pricing are interesting to me. I am assuming it's a good deal considering how pricey packs are at regular stores but will have to look into more. read more

This is a great place to find a hard-to-find minifig, as well as custom creations that are for sale. Vintage or hard-to-find sets can also be found here. Their main strength, however, are their bins of loose Lego. You pick the bag / container you want and fill it up as much as possible. Based on the container you picked, you pay the price. If you're good at packing a container with Lego efficiently, you can get a good deal. The folks here are knowledgable and friendly. Bottom Line: - If you like your kids to be creative, buying batches of loose Lego is the way to go. Pound for pound, it's way more cost-effective than buying boxed Lego sets at the store. - If you want to buy the latest Lego sets, this may not be the place for you. Happy Building! read more

Let me be clear up front. I am a mom of kids who kinda like Legos... they are not superfans. This store is for SuperFans of Legos. It was crowded with middle-aged geek collectors when we were there and that is the target audience. They have rare, used, out of stock and collector stuff. They have some "regular" stuff, but it isn't a deal nor plentiful enough to have me return again. If I WERE a SuperFan, their rating would be much higher. But if you're the average suburban mom cruising for a deal on Lego Harry Potter or Atlantis, this ain't the place for you. read more

We had a birthday party held here and they were wonderful with our 4 to 12 year old guests! They welcomed the youngest of birthday builders (not every store in their chain does). Their prices may not be the most competitive on sets, but they're friendly and have great selections on what they do carry. Two sets that were used and pre-built that my kid was super excited about. I went to both this location and the Canby one in the same day. Ample parking. This location is quite a bit smaller but I still had a hard time only choosing a few mini figures. Selection was good. I recently placed an order here for a custom printed puzzle. This is a new service they are doing where you can provide them with an image and they'll print it onto Lego bricks. You'll receive it completed, but you're free to take it apart and put it together as you would a normal puzzle, or simply display it. I paid $12 for an 8 by 12 stud puzzle (Roughly 3 by 3.3 inches) and feel that is a very reasonable price. It was ready very quickly, and the quality was fantastic. My shopping experience at this store is aweful! they sell me a USED batman helicopter lego at the price of $15，and it is with no minifigures inside, and the store staff said that is why the price is so "cheap" . However, after I back home and found the same NEW model's price on Amazon is only $16, and it is brand new with 3 minifigures. The cost of the loose bricks and various items was to high i can go to the Lego Store 10 min away and get new bricks for cheaper,and all the stuff on the shelf that was in boxes i can also get cheaper at other stores. The party was such a nice change of pace. It is a great place and love the location. The only thing about going is it takes so much time because my daughter just loves lego's and the selection is always changing. My daughter has become more addicted ever since she first walked in the store around 4 years ago. As for the service, they are always smiling and really seem to enjoy working and helping my daughter find that one thing she is looking for! Had a great birthday party for my 9 year old son! The staff was so easy to work with and it was very affordable. They provided good structure for the party but were also flexible. They did all the set up with decorations including a fun sign with my son's name spelled out in Legos. So cool! They provided everything, we just had to bring snacks, cake and beverages.
