There's also some trade magazines and a limited number of toys. I also noticed a laid back type of vibe to this store and I like that aspect! Sunday 2/15 I went to purcase a used Wii under the suggestion of my grandson . Not being able to…read morepurchase myself being on a fixed income from disabilty he gave me 200 dollars to buy a console and a few games . With help I purchased a Wii, 5 games ,a chip to play camecube games and a controller . The next afternoon I went Bestbuy to purchase an rca to hdmi adapter after getting i home i set everything up . Console wont read disc ( try a couple time , even checked google) it keeps not working . I call the Cavern and they say to bring it in . HERES WHERE IT GETS GOOD ... When I brought in the console they tell me THE SERIAL NUMBER DOESNT MATCH THE RECEIPT. Its the same unit THE SAME ONE and they say there is nothing they can or will do . So Im/we're out 150 dollars and there is nothing I can do about it . Heres the scam - the units have the company serial number on the console and the console , controller, cords are all shirink wrapped together . The Caverns label only has a price and bar code with no other info for the customer to verify . So when they print the receipt thats it ALL SALES FINAL they dont verify the serial number against anything themselves . Yes the next day they point out the serial number on the console doesnt match the printed serial number on the receipt . I didnt know I had to check the receipt against the actual console he just scanned infront of me . SCAMMED I thank my grandson for trying to give me a liitle joy , at least his heart is in the right place. I had download YELP just for the post ... Yes it is the first review ive made . This blaten con easy to slip by . I can see if I came in 3 months later to complain ,but 24 hours ? Keep up the good work The Video Game Cavern .

Some of the items were super expensive for the brand but I also saw a lot of items that were stained bad. I seriously saw crunchy food items stuck to dresses and shirts. Very racist and rude people work here. My husband, a huge gamer, stopped in there today. He was…read moretaking clothes to the consignment store nearby and saw Boardwalk and was excited to check it out. He walked in and despite there being several employees there, no one acknowledged him or welcomed him in. The employees just stared at him like he was a foreign creature. While he was in the store, he heard an employee enthusiastically explaining a lot about a game to another customer. He was surprised and shocked at how knowledgeable and informative the employee seemed to be. So my husband saw some type of figure/game that he was interested in and wanted to know more about it. He went to ask an employee more details and the employee was very cold and just said "uh, I don't know". They didn't even take the time to research, ask another co-worker, or anything. They just seemed really uninterested in helping my husband. Although he was planning to buy it, he ended up just walking out because he didn't feel like he was appreciated as a customer. First time there and last time there. He had to come back to the consignment store in the plaza later in the afternoon to pick up the stuff and just looking over at Boardwalk and seeing people go in and out made him sick to his stomach. The feeling of his business and money not being good enough for them. Very sad. Will never recommend.

I've always found the staff very friendly and helpful. They have even ordered special sizes for me and worked with me to have many things custom monogrammed. Just off Pelham, I love the fact that I don't have to make a trip to the mall or get in Woodruff Rd. traffic to pick up something I need.
