Brickstone Kitchen is a very popular spot, though I wonder if that's because of the dearth of restaurants in the area. I decided to try it again even though I've had some disappointing dishes in the past. On this hot summer evening, with few tables available, we were promptly seated at a high top next to the bar. After perusing their extensive menu and ordering a 6 ounce glass of merlot ($11) and cabernet $10), we selected the following: * Chicken Anthony $24 * Sarah's Scampi $26 Our waitress team was very nice and attentive, and even though it was busy, our dinners arrived quickly. The portion sizes were good and the food was hot, a good beginning. Unfortunately the shrimp was a little overcooked and dry, and the angel hair pasta was so dry I asked for some melted butter. It took a long time to get the butter, the waitress apologized that the kitchen forgot to make it and it arrived near end of our dinner. The Chicken Anthony was incrementally better, one piece of chicken was fairly tender and tasty, the other was tough and dry. Overall, diners can expect an extensive menu, reasonable prices and friendly service here. The food seems to be hit or miss, and thus another three-star review.

After driving by this place forever we finally decided to stop and see why it's always so busy. It didn't take long to figure out why! We went on a holiday Monday and it was as busy as a Friday but with, thankfully, only a short wait. Inside was clean and the staff were super friendly. The food was fresh and everything came out warm. The flavors were good but not necessarily the highlight of our visit. The portions were large and we were able to take the leftovers home. They had a nice drink menu and even had some good craft beer selections. Overall, this is the kind of place I really enjoy. Locally owned/operated, friendly vibe and a great menu! I can't believe it took me so long to dine here!

Before the holiday I ordered a little smorgasbord for some friends out of this joint. Wowzaaaa! Food smacks! I love that they have a separate pull up area for takeout orders. It's off a very busy 146 and gets a lot of traffic, thus eliminates a lot of issues. I picked up the goods on a weeknight and the place was slammed. Like, line out the door slammed. We divvied up the food to all try some. None were disappointed! Flavors on flavors. Every single dish was delish. Highest recommendation! Bon appetite!

Tucked right off 146, Brickstone Kitchen is a cozy, brick-lined American eatery with rustic charm and a welcoming outdoor setup. It's a convenient stop with a relaxed vibe, though it leans on the pricier side. The outdoor seating is a plus, but the pace of service struggled to keep up during our visit. Food & Drinks We started with the corn dip, which was flavorful -- just the right balance of mayo, herbs, and sweetness from the corn. That said, it came with way more chips than dip, which felt a little mismatched. I ordered the lobster roll next. It came generously packed with meat, but the flavor didn't quite hit for me -- too heavy on the dill and celery. If it had a simpler, buttery or light mayo-based dressing with a softer bun, it could've been a standout. ‍ Service & Hospitality Service was noticeably slow. It seemed like only one server was handling the entire outdoor section, and she was clearly stretched thin. While she was doing her best, the delays made it hard to fully enjoy the experience. Definitely not ideal if you're in a rush or expecting attentive service. Unique Selling Point Brickstone has potential -- solid menu variety, a charming setting, and good ingredients. But if they can streamline service and simplify certain flavor profiles, this could be a much stronger dining option for the area.

Loved this place. It is right on highway and from front it does not give you much to form a good opinion. But once you have given it a chance and enter, it pleasantly surprises you with warm vibes. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You get the seat right away. They have summer specials and lunch specials menu. They also have small bar which looked pretty good. We ordered popcorn shrim as starter and felt pretty good about it We had steak tips and veg burger with sweet potato fries. Everything was great. Steak was medium rare and was very tender and juicy. First time i loved a steak at any place. Veg burger was good too. Sweet potato fries are our favorite and this place does it pretty well. A must visit place this is.

My friend and I had a great lunch here recently. We arrived shortly after opening on a Friday and the restaurant filled up really fast. It seems to be a very popular place. My friend ordered the baked fish and I honestly can't remember if it was cod or haddock (it was definitely a white fish) and it came with green beans and rice pilaf. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and we both really enjoyed our meals. For dessert my friend got the creme brûlée and said it was excellent, I got the bread pudding with pistachio, cranberries and white chocolate. The bread pudding was good, but I probably wouldn't pick it again. We had excellent service and we thought the atmosphere and decor were very nice. We would both definitely come again.

Great service. They also now do curbside pick up, which is super easy and have the best chicken parmigiana around!

Family meal was a great value. The bread was sooo good. The chicken parm is by far the BEST I've ever had! Can't wait to try more.

I got a large pie half pepperoni half regular. The pepperoni slices were inedible- the pepperoni is incredibly spicy. It's not regular pepperoni. The plain slices were better than the pepperoni, but still not good . They had too much sauce and the cheese was too salty. The cheese was also congealed in one mass, not melty, so all the cheese would fall off the slice in one congealed piece. The crust itself was pretty good though. It was $23 for a half topping pizza that's about 20% smaller than a traditional NY pie that would cost about that. Not a giant rip off, but also just not a great deal for a small town pizzeria right off the highway... Maybe their other pizza and dishes are better, but this very basic, classic pizza I got was incredibly disappointing. I can usually eat an entire large New York by myself- this pie was split between two people, and there were still slices left over.

Sutton, you're lucky to have this spot.

Friends ordered the salmon and mushroom ravioli and both really enjoyed their meals. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. Not much to look at from outside nestled in a tight residential neighborhood with limited street parking but complimentary valet service. Going inside of the restaurant ,however, the space is much more upscale and very nice. Prices were what I would expect for an upscale menu of this quality with most entrees between $25 and $40. I look forward to returning!

Mare E Monti - Exceptional Authentic Italian & Seafood Pasta Spot in Worcester, MA…read more Mare E Monti is an exceptional Italian gem -- probably home to the best seafood pasta I've ever had. I was in town ahead of a half marathon near Hampton Beach on Sunday. After a long drive and a surprise call that my extended family was touring the East Coast nearby, we decided to meet halfway -- and Worcester made perfect sense. I booked a table for eight at 8 PM on Saturday. We miscounted our party, which led to about a 45-minute wait, but honestly, that just gave us more time to catch up. The interior strikes a lovely balance -- rustic yet modern, cozy yet romantic, and unmistakably Italian in feel. Starters We kicked off with two plates of Calamari Fritti -- classic native calamari, lightly fried and tossed with cherry peppers and a delicate butter sauce. Absolutely delicious; I had to restrain myself from finishing the whole plate. Complimentary garlic bread with olive oil was also served, and I stopped myself at 2-3 slices to save room for the race-fueling carbs to come. For salad, I chose the Insalata Casalinga -- crisp field greens, grape tomatoes, julienne carrots, cucumbers, red onion, and imported olives in a light vinaigrette. Simple, fresh, and highly recommended. The Main Event The real reason I chose Mare E Monti was simple: carb loading. I went with the Pasta con Cozze e Fagioli -- sautéed mussels in a garlic white wine sauce with diced tomatoes and cannellini beans, tossed with linguine. It was everything I'd hoped for: flavorful yet light, satisfying without being heavy. The mussels were tender, the beans added substance, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. Others at the table tried the Ravioli di Aragosta (lobster ravioli) on my recommendation. I snagged a bite -- and it was heavenly. Rich, delicate, and beautifully balanced. Final Thoughts Dinner here was the perfect pre-race meal -- nourishing without weighing me down. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service attentive, and the food consistently excellent. Even parking was simple; I found easy street parking just around the corner (though valet is also available). Oh, and the next morning? I ran a personal best in my half marathon -- just over 1 hour and 20 minutes. I'd like to think the perfect plate of pasta helped fuel that finish. All in all, Mare E Monti is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine and standout seafood pasta in the Worcester area. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in Massachusetts.
