The Boynton is a solid spot right around the WPI area. It's easy to get to, but parking can be a tough spot during the busy hours. The wait isn't usually all that ling when it is busy, so it's worth calling ahead. The menu is solid, though I tend to gravitate to the appetizers when I am out with friends. Not a bad thing on the menu, and the pizza is delicious. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I like the seating in the upper lounge area. It's got a unique feel and it's a fave of mine. read more

We arrived shortly after opening on a Thursday and we were seated immediately. The menu has a lot of variety. We went with the boom boom platter and a red hot chicken pizza. The platter came with an assortment of small eats like chicken wings, falafel, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, brussel sprouts and fried pickles. They were fine. Nothing stood out. I've been here a handful of times, and every visit has been great! The restaurant is always busy when I come in, and a few weeks ago, I tried to stop by but couldn't even find a spot at the bar. I ended up heading to another restaurant, but that's OK--business is booming, and I'm not hating on that! My friend and I came in for a girls' lunch date and both ordered the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad Flatbread--one with tomatoes, one without. When the plate arrived, it wasn't what I expected, and honestly, I wasn't sure I'd enjoy it. But after my friend gave me some pointers on how to eat it, I took that first bite, and WOW--the flavors just burst in my mouth! It was absolutely amazing. I've never even had a Caesar salad before (I only started enjoying salads this year!), but this dish completely exceeded my expectations. It was even better than the pictures make it look! Our server was awesome--super accommodating and attentive. At one point, they even dimmed the lights for ambience, which I really appreciated--it added a nice touch to the atmosphere. When our drinks arrived, my friend and I initially thought they were a little weak, but after a few sips, we realized they were just really well-mixed. I had a strawberry margarita, and she had a Captain and pineapple juice (which I judged her for at first, but I have to admit--it was actually really good!). One of the best restaurants in Worcester. It's a busy place!parking can be a real challenge. They have a parking lot or back and an attendant who can recommend a spot or direct toy to alternatives if the lot is full. Parking is free. Inside it is a brewpub ambience. Food is delicious. Service is friendly and efficient. I usually come here for fresh seafood when I'm in the area (currently live in Maryland). I'm never disappointed. This visit I shared a seafood platter with my fiancé. The scallops were the best part...sweet and juicy. The fish came in smallish pieces which was good since we were sharing. The platter came with a huge mound of potato wedges which made the player look a whole lot bigger than it really needed to be. We couldn't finish them. Went out for lunch at the Boynton and overall had a very pleasant time. Got the chili for starter and it just didn't sit well with me anbutd they took it off my bill no questions asked. But my main meal I got the Tito hero sandwich (crispy chicken breast with vodka sauce, spicy chilies, burrata, mozzarella and arugula) with wedge fries. The sandwich was beyond excellent and the fries were very, very good. Service was excellent. Bathrooms and and restaurant were clean. Went for lunch yesterday. The TBLT was as bad as you can get. I have always had good food at The Boynton, but this lunch was poor at best. In between the soggy bread was old tasting turkey, deli type that was sitting around for a few days in the fridge, one piece of bacon, soggy lettuce or whatever it was, a tomato and this sandwich was something that should have never left the kitchen. I asked for mayo to give it some flavor and when that failed to work, put salt on it. Nothing could get me past the old turkey. The FF were good but the catsup was empty after some use and no replacement was brought when we asked. I should have sent it back but I did not. Garbage lunch. read more

Ahh The B. Nothing says nostalgia like coming back to this local pub after two decades. A lot has changed to the good ol B since my college days! Good bye to the 10 cent wings and sticky benches and hello beautiful bar and up class food selections! Not sure this is the college hang out like it used to be - but it is definitely a great place to get some delicious food and great service at a very reasonable price. I came with 7 friends after a day of reminiscing old times at our WPI college reunion. The drinks came quick and the appetizers came warm. We all shared flatbreads and salads and everything we tried was delicious and devoured. I ordered fried pickles which may just be the best I ever had. Their burrata flatbreads were scrumptious. If I were in college now I'd be (more) broke going back there all the time! The bar is large and there is seating for both small groups and larger groups in their multi level restaurant. I think there is outdoor seating in the back, but we didn't ask or see it. Stopped in for lunch with and it was all together a very nice experience. We got there approximately around 11:30 am and we're greeted and seated right away . We had booth seating which was great for an intimate feeling and being able to chit chat and catch up with each other. The menu had a great selection and while I was tempted to get a burger, I went with the Grilled Vegetables Teriyaki and was not disappointed with that choice. The veggies were perfectly grilled and the teriyaki sauce was just lovely with the linguine. I recommend stopping in and I will definitely go back! So we call on Monday (today) and ask if they have Buck a Shuck Oysters and the person on the phone tells us "yes they do". We navigate the Worcester traffic for a late afternoon treat.
