We went out with my nephew to Bricktown Brewery for an early dinner and we had a great experience. The restaurant is large and clean with a combination of booths, tables and high tops. We got a table and ordered from the extensive menu. My meal was the Asian Chopped salad (no sesame seeds nor mandarin oranges) and it was one of the best salads I have had a long time. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the greens were fresh..I loved the hints of cilantro and green onions as I took bites of the salad. Our server was really sweet and attentive. The last time I was in this building was when it was old Chicago haha which means it's been a minute lol. Anyways we only had to wait 10 minutes which was a quick 10 to get a booth an the server came right up. Got the pretzel dipper appetizer an it came albeit very fresh and warm etc. I ordered an old fashioned an the garnish was meh, could have been better. Wife ordered the watermelon salad she said was ok, I ordered the bricktown chicken club sandwich an it was phenomenal. Dont get the slaw as a side, because it sucked, KFC does better haha. Our waitress was great but however the other service seems very slow. I mean took probably 15 minutes to get a draft beer from the bar and our food took longer than expected. No they were not busy. Food- Bricktown cheeseburger was ok. Salt and pepper fries were horrible, tasted like they scooped up all the old dried out fries and served them with my cheeseburger. First time here not sure I will return. Overall it was clean but could use some serious deep cleaning around walls and around the stairs is a lot of dust build up. read more

They put too much ice in the water, and the food took forever to get. I got French dip, and the cheese wasn't good, and the roast beef wasn't good either. I've had other food, and nothing is good except their fries. I keep coming back here thinking I'll find something I'll like, and I still haven't found anything. BEWARE! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Absolutely awful experience. The first server was so busy chatting with her friends, fellow employees, and doing everything she could to avoid helping us. After we had been sitting at the table for EXACTLY 61 minutes, I finally went to find the manager. I asked the manager for a new server. (My group suggested we just leave, but I was REALLY looking forward to a true Oklahoma Chicken fried steak, so we had patience) Our new server was a nice young man named Blake (I beleive) and he made the first girl look like she was a first day trainee server at a country diner. Blake took great care of our group! Beyond that, I ordered the chicken fried steak I had been so looking forward to. Everyone else at the table ordered, the members of our group who arrived late, who had been sitting there for nearly 20 minutes FINALLY received their drinks. Then, a few minutes later, Blake returned and said that they JUST now sold the last chicken fried steak, and I would have to pick something different. REALLY???? So I ordered the salad with salmon and specifically asked for it to be medium rare so that it wasn't dry. Yeah, salmon was overrcooked, dry, and tasteless (not to mention smelling a little fishy). I didn't finish it. No credit on the bill, no apology from ANYONE on staff for not having my order, or for the issues with the first server, and the time it took for us to get served. As I got up, I noticed the Ant Poison packs sitting in the windowsill right next to my table. GROSS! Is that even up to food code?? HOW on earth is this business even still open? BEWARE! Food taste is pretty consistent, which is what is expected when craving a certain flavor. Six to 8 (today 9) of us are regulars here and most of the time we get the same variety of menu items from pizza, to salads, to soup, to burgers. Each time everything is on point. My favorite is the veggie pizza on cauliflower crust. Crispy crust and fresh veggies but today the veggies were a bit scant. The flavor, however, is spot on. Service was over the top as she effortlessly handled 9 of us splitting by 2s, and 4s, and one single when the bill came in. Refills were timely. One of us had an appointment and Angel was prompt with our food even though another of us was running late coming in. Anna's service was good. Fast and friendly. The menus were dirty and the table sticky. The food wasn't good. My husband ordered a beef sandwich with au jus (basically a Philly cheesesteak) and I ordered a basic cheeseburger that wasn't supposed to have any pink in it. Both of us had onion rings. The onion rings were fine. Not great, but fine. My husband said his was the worst sandwich he'd ever had. My burger still had pink in it and was super greasy. We both couldn't eat much of either meal. If we hadn't been pressed for time, we would have sent them back. I would not recommend this place. Edit: I should mention that we have eaten here a few times before and the food has always been ok. The service has always been good, and the place cleaner. Sigh. This place is around the corner from our home and we would eat there 2-3 nights a week but the inconsistency of the food is just not worth the money. But, this isn't a brewery. We look for breweries, often going well out of our way to go to them. This is a chain, and they don't brew their beer. Great idea tonight! Wanted a chicken fried steak sandwich and called at least 5 or 6 other restaurants in Edmond. No one had that. BTB said they had a dinner so we went there and ordered the chicken fried steak dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, fried okra , which was awesome!! I asked for a side of one potato roll hamburger bun, with mayonnaise, ketchup, and lettuce. They had split our dinner on two plates because we were sharing. Awesome waitress too. I am obsessed with Bricktown brewery and the 2nd st location is by far my favorite (& it's not just because they have half price pizzas on Wednesday's available for curbside, take out or dine in!!) My favorite appetizer is the cheese curds. I always start my meal off with it. If your server is cool and not judgmental they'll bring you Carmel sauce if you ask! (don't knock it until you try it) Main course is usually a pizza, my favorites are the combination, carnivore or veggie!
