I went up to Edmond,Ok to visit a new friend and take her a birthday cake. We decided to go to lunch and BJ's was nearby. We were able to get a table very quickly as there is a lot of room at this restaurant. They also have many different options so it doesn't really matter what you're hungry for, you will be able to find something. It's always a nice and fun atmosphere at BJ's. You can hear a lot of people laughing and just having a good time. We both had a great lunch and we're definitely satisfied, but we did not have room for dessert lol . read more

We loved our visit. We had Paige as our waiter. She was one of if not the best waitresses we have ever had. The food was perfect and came out in a reasonable amount of time. Good place for lunch or dinner. Lots of items on their menu to choose, from fried foods to healthy versions. There's a nice size bar area if you want to grab a beer or cocktail and just enjoy an appetizer, although I don't recommend the avocado spring rolls. The service was slow and the waitress was just okay. We went for late night happy hour and had sliders, steamed pot stickers , avocado eggrolls , wings, snickers, salted caramel, regular pizookie. The pot stickers were amazing. The egg rolls were a little spicy for me. The traditional wings tasted really old. The pizooke wasn't cooked long enough for me, it was very sweet and mushy. My nephew said his sliders were just okay. It was a good family vibe even late night . I haven't been in years, I may go back for my free dessert since I signed up for a rewards member. I had a really disappointing experience tonight. Right from the start, the hostess was noticeably rude. We politely asked if we could switch tables so we could avoid sitting near a loud group and actually hear each other. She rolled her eyes, said "yeah," and walked us over to another table with an obvious attitude. After we confirmed the table was fine, she dropped the menus, slammed the silverware and walked away without a word. While we were there, I also noticed another waitress (pretty, dark makeup, hair up) visibly rolling her eyes about something as well, which added to the uncomfortable, unwelcoming atmosphere. The entire vibe felt off. To make things worse, we sat for over 10 minutes without being greeted, no server, no water, nothing. We felt completely ignored. As someone with a long background in bartending, the service industry, and management, this is not an experience I would ever be proud of from my team. My mom and I found out about this place about a month and a half ago, and have come 3 times since. We usually get the $13 deal with a pizookie deal, which is what I got this time with an upgraded size for us to share while my mom got the soup and salad from the main menu. Fried chicken was amazing, ingredients feel fresh and high quality. It was a little overdone in the frier for my taste but nothing terrible. My mom's soup was the issue. Tasted just like a can of cheese you'd get at a convenience store blended with one broccoli. This is the second visit she tries a soup (last time she tried the chicken enchilada soup) and they have both been equally as bad. Pizookies are the best part of every dinner or lunch here though! Super tasty and flavorful!! Overall, just stay away from the soups and this place is great! The burgers, which were supposed to be well done, were medium. The fries were warm, not hot, like always. I asked for ranch for my fries, but, like always, they didn't bring it. We were north side by Mercy to find place to eat. I had eaten at a different location before and was just ok. This place was really good! Started with Mac n cheese balls, great. I ordered Baked ziti and was really good. Husband had salmon and was good.. Service was good. We checked in and they said like 20 to 30 wait. It was only like 10, for just 2 of us. They sat us at a table for 4 people because apparently math is hard for the hostess staff. We had no where to put our entrees. And smaller parties were enjoying ALL OF THE EMPTY booths around us. Why! Bc again math is hard for some people. With an empty restaurant it's weird that we had to sit and WAIT for everything. I understand it's not fast food but it was ridiculous. The food there has definitely gone downhill. The food we waited for was not great. Portions were ridiculous and that pretty much explains why the dining room was half full - other people get it. My husband got the prime rib and could only eat half of it. That is after they mixed up his prime rib with my father's and neither were cooked the way it was requested. All that was offered was that they could "re-plate it "The rest of it was fatty and disgusting and he brought that to the waitresses attention- she said she would let the manager know. And he didn't care. Never came to talk to us or ask about it or anything. Funny it wasn't like that last time or previous times but who cares right- just 40.00 wasted. Upon leaving I let the hostess know that we would have been liked to be seated at a bigger table - something to keep in mind with future guests - she seemed to get it but her friend mouthed "whatever" so there is a reason she makes 16.00 an hour and others don't. Even though the service was a little slow (we did have 30+ people so it was understandable) they did, however get all of our food and drinks out correctly. Our servers were very nice and the food was flawless. My pork chop was so tender. The vegetables were crunchy and savory. The drink were mixed fantabulous. What happened to BJ's? We've been coming here since we moved to Edmond and before that we dined in the DFW area often, too. It was always a reliable quality restaurant with a good bar (essential to our dining satisfaction). Our last two visits were terrible. The food seems to have dropped a level or two. But, our main concern is the poor quality of their cocktails, especially anything with Tonic Water. I don't think their current staff even knows what it is. Yesterday we had people there and three ordered drinks with tonic. Flat tonic all around. There should be bubbles in the tonic and any decent bartender would know that. We complained and we brought new drinks. Bubbly but not tonic or the worst tonic ever. Such a little thing to get right that makes all the difference in the world but BJ's has failed this test twice now. Oh, and my beer was worm. Food was okay but not great. Service was okay but after complaining about drink quality as undrinkable, we were still charged. Drinks terrible. Management terrible. Future outlook? Terrible. We will not be back. Too bad for them as we are good diners and good tippers. Plenty of other place to go that are better values. read more

I genuinely don't understand why the food at BJ's is this good. The wait isn't long, the prices aren't high. It couldn't honestly not be so good and it'd be fine with it. Yet, it's some of the best food I've ever had. I recently ordered the gourmet pizza, and it was honestly the best pizza I've ever tasted. Been here a lot. Between this location and the outlet mall location I'm a big BJ's fan. I have yet to have something that did not hit the spot. Bar seating is always convenient and open with fast friendly service. The general seating area is always ready to go as well. If you're going to @ me because you had to wait please don't get mad because you showed up at six on a Saturday evening. Come on, we all know how restaurants are on high demand evenings. That supper rush gets everyone so chill. My favorite is the tri-tip wedge but the pizza here is amazing as well. Try the four cheese baked ziti for that pasta fix and you'll forget that Olive Garden is a thing. A full bar and plenty of craft beer. Tonight's pick was the Canin Boys Brewery, Trail Magic Hazy IPA. Very nice establishment, vibes are cool and people are happy. I just had a bad experience not receiving any food. Ordered with my Mother and because I ordered a desert for my entree it was never made. As I was watching my Mother eat I tracked down our waitress and asked where my food was? She made excuses saying I thought that was your dessert!? I didn't even order an entree!?! Legit ate my Mothers salad and still waited for the desert that never arrived. The waitress was very friendly and polite but I think more training needs to be happening where I can actually eat food that I ordered. read more

Our first trip to BJ's was a good experience. The food was excellent, the beer was impressive and the service was good. On our second trip, we ordered the broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl again. This time, the bread bowl was only about 3/4 of the way full. The soup was good, but once we got to the bread, it was stale and just tasted old. And by "old", I mean GROSS. We pointed this out to the waitress and she apologized and said she would see if she could get it taken off our ticket. A bit later, she came back and said the manager had approved removing the charge. But, when we got the ticket, they had taken off $3 for the bread and still charged us for a bowl of soup! It's not about paying for each segment of a meal. It's about paying for the overall experience of the dish and with soup in a bread bowl, it's the combination that is so good. Just removing a few dollars for stale bread doesn't cut it. If we had wanted a bowl of soup, we would have ordered a bowl of soup. We wanted the experience of eating the soup along with the bread. Sadly, poor customer service like this only insures that people will not be returning. read more

On their website, BJs promotes happy hour from 4-6pm and 9pm to close Mon-Thurs. I got pretty excited about the $5 margarita. My favorite is the salted caramel pizookies. Give them 3 stars because outside of the pizookies, the food quality is inconsistent. read more

I've visited this location multiple times this year and I would have to say it definitely is very inconsistent. In the past two months I have endured: 5 issues with pizzas being undercooked, not having cheese or raw veggies being put on pizzas. 3 of those times were within the same visit. The MOD was so appalled at our experience one time, as he agreed the food was disastrous. I received a $50 gift card for the one time mentioned. Two instances where items were left off of 3rd party orders. I received a $10 gift card for one of these issues. This had to be approved through corporate (Supervisor Gabriel seemed annoyed with me at this point, as he'd spoken with me the previous day regarding confusion on my end with the $13 Pizookie deal and he also could see I was given a gift card for previous issues. Maybe he thought I was just toying around for free food???). My visit before last, both of my Pizookies from my pick up order were burnt around the edges. My most recent visit, my server, Hannah, was nice however she did not come check on us after we'd received our food. I needed to ask a question regarding if the rice pilaf had chicken broth in it (I'd mentioned to her we do not eat meat), as I thought I recollected a previous server telling me it did. I eventually was able to get her attention, though I was already halfway through my meal at this point. She went to confirm with the kitchen, however I was literally finished with all of my food (except for the rice [I tried to wait to eat but my food was cold from waiting]) before she made it back with an answer. My advice for this experience is to make sure to check on your table after they've received their food to assure all is well and they do not need anything. The two times I was able to speak to her after I received my food (the chicken broth question and for my check), I stopped her when she was leaving another table. I've recently visited the Cheddar's next door and the service was impeccable, as well as the food and the management made sure to make rounds at each table confirming the customer's needs where met and experience was not less than satisfactory. 3 stars because I really love the Pizookies and pizzas when made correctly. The BF and I spent an hour driving around OKc looking for a place to eat after the first ice storm of winter 2020. We ended up here due to our other choices being closed. We were met by a hostess up front and we asked for plug ins to charge our battery back ups and our phones (no electricity at home). She told us our request could not be fulfilled as they had no tables with that option. We offered to sit at the bar and she protested once again saying the chargers were offside to the bar. Sigh. I've had better customer service at the airport! Under normal circumstances, we would never ask this but this was special. If we had not driven for an hour, I would have left but we sucked it up and gave them our business. The waitress was much nicer and we ordered. I got a house salad with no cheese or dressing. I also wanted to try the lentil soup. My bf had an old fashioned and the steak - au jus sammich. His old fashioned was ill prepared. Definitely not worthy of the classic but it was ok. Typical of ill experienced bar tending in Oklahoma. My salad was delivered within minutes and as ordered. It was a basic simple salad. I used my BF's French fries to stomach it down. The lentil soup was more like a chili - mashed up lentils in broth. It was good but not the best. Definitely mass consumption made and most likely shipped in and not homemade:/. It was a good taste and I ate it all cuz I was hungry! Just not the best I've had. Now the sammich my bf had - delicious! He let me have a bite and it was yummy!
