I had a fantastic workout with Paul. All the instructors have their own style but Paul and Kaili are my favorites. Thank you Brickyard!

F45 is a functional training gym that runs 45-minute workouts with high work-to-rest ratios (e.g.,…read more45 seconds work, 15 seconds rest, repeat). The workouts are programmed, so you follow the instructions given for each station, but the gym has plenty of equipment, so workouts change from day to day and don't get repetitive. Mondays & Wednesdays are cardio days (though you'll still have weighted exercises), Tuesday & Thursdays are strength days (think more weight and slower reps), and Fridays - Sundays are hybrid days (combo of strength + cardio). The workouts are very challenging and will have you gassed by the end, but they're only 45 minutes, and the coaches provide modifications, so you can power through! The equipment here is great and in good condition. This location recently opened a "Recovery Room" that offers massage guns, foam rollers, and compression boots to help your body relax and recover after tough workouts -- it's amazing! The only variable at F45 (which is probably true at most gyms) is the coach you have for your workouts. Tim (who coaches Mondays and Wednesdays) is super high energy, remembers your name, corrects your form, and will encourage and push you without being overbearing -- he's the best! Other coaches will walk around the room and help spot check your form on workouts, but won't provide much motivation. And at a couple of the workouts I've been to, the coaches have just stood and talked to each other (or people from the previous workout) for the full 45 minutes. To me, this last coaching style is unacceptable, and the one piece I wish I could change. Overall, I'm very happy with this gym and would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their physical health, especially those who have limited time to work out or don't know how/don't want to program their own workouts.

I worked out here for quite a while. I love the vibe and the owner. 10/10 recommend getting an…read moreunlimited membership here. Get it through the gym, not class pass imo. The trainers are great and will correct your form. If you go a lot, it's about $5 a class. This is a much better deal than ClassPass and it goes to a local business owner instead of a middleman.

I've either gotten bored with the workouts or haven't felt motivated to continue going. I love lifting, but haven't been able to get into Crossfit, and other studios have been too cardio-focused for me personally. K Effect training has been the best thing for me - they mix up their workouts so I'm never bored, and they have the perfect mix of lifting days and cardio days. A new schedule is released every month, which keeps things fun and exciting. I started with K Effect for a 4-week challenge they were doing in February, and have stuck with them ever since. I honestly thought I was just going to do the challenge and then dip out and never come back again, but once I started going I realized I wasn't dreading my workouts like I usually did, I was actually looking forward to going and having a solid workout. The workouts are fun, challenging, and different every single class. They mix lifting with HIIT workouts - some workouts are lifting focused, others are cardio focused - and there's a great mix. They're also the perfect amount of time, and are typically about 45-50 minutes long. The community in this gym is also incredible. It's such a diverse mix of people and everyone is SO friendly and welcoming. It's always intimidating starting at a new gym, and I've never felt more welcome than I have been at K Effect. The coaches are amazing, the members are amazing - I love coming here. All of the coaches are so good at remembering everyone's names too - I don't know how they do it! If you're looking to step up your workouts, but tend to feel gym-timidation, check this place out!

The problem is a douche name Coach Cam who lures you in with a promise of this free 28 day fitness challenge. He asks you what your goals are, for me it was being able to do a pull-up. He writes that down and creates a contract. But I thought it was free? you ask. Oh of course it is but we need a deposit so that you have skin in the game. Wtf? Of course you'll get it all back he promises but we really hope youll want to stick around. Fast forward 28 days and I'm still not able to do a pull-up. But guess, what that was part of the contract?! You can't do a pull up so we're going to keep your deposit. Are you kidding?! I demanded the return of my deposit and told him as much as I might like to join this gym I'm already a member at another gym like I had told you before we started and I'm not in a position to consider another membership until that one expires. "Do you really think that's fair" says coach cam. "You got to work out here for free." Um Yeah, that was the deal, you smarmy *$$. He refused to give me my money back. Literally said no. Thankfully American Express has my back and they immediately opened an investigation and returned my money. Beware of these gyms and their predatory practices. When a gym claims your workout is free, it should be free. Period. Sign a liability waiver but don't sign a fraudulent contract meant to take advantage of someone excited to try a new gym facility.

I actually asked twice about this, as I knew it was a possibility. Fast forward 6 months later and all of a sudden that "has never been in our contracts" and a complete refusal to acknowledge the issues. While still open a few months ago several of the 6 am trainers showed up late or not at all. Otherwise the place is clean and pleasant to work out in. EDIT: their contract states "Should you permanently move your residence more than 30 miles from the Club, you may cancel this agreement." and "If this Agreement is canceled in accordance with this Cancellation Policy, and if you have prepaid any sum, your prepayment shall be refunded to you minus the reasonable value of any Club services you have actually received or $25, whichever is less" Cannot be clearer than that, and this is their own form contract

Kickboxing is my newest found addiction, and Title knows how to support my addiction well…read more I already had some experience, and boxing gloves when I came in, but I didn't have the necessary-for-class hand wraps. Thankfully, the Groupon I grabbed came with 30 days + hand wraps. I was able to mix or match hand wrap colors (I did one hot blue and the other hot pink - duh), and they had the instructor help me with wrapping my hands, and also talking me through how to do it. Already a good experience. Title is set up differently than other gyms that offer kickboxing - it is a huge room with a ton of bags hanging, equally spaced from each other. They have a lot of lockers in which you can store your stuff (free of locks), and it seems that footwear for classes is per attendee choice - some people do barefoot, others keep their shoes on. Previous gyms have had me go barefoot, so at Title, I choose to use shoes. The classes are fabulous. I've done both 45 and 60 min classes, and I love them. They are definitely fast paced, and if you don't already have a handle on the different type of hits and kicks, I'd definitely ask someone during your first time in. The classes can be interactive with other people in class, sometimes you are hitting padding held by the instructor, sometimes you are doing running/punching drills between the rows, but most of the time, you're going hard on your bag. Title is conveniently on 21st south, off 7th east, and I haven't had a problem parking to this point. I'm on the search for gym memberships, and this one is definitely in the running for me!
