I walked in not too much more than an hour or so before closing on a saturday night. the place was dim and empty. It must have been an off night. the workers were still there in the back and there was one two top sitting on the patio outside. now that the scene is painted, let's move onto the food. the guy at the register was super helpful as it was my first time visiting any of the brickyard hollow locations. I got the small blueberry pizza (6 slices), which has certainly made the rounds on social media as one of the best pizzas in maine. the food came out pretty quick, hot and fresh. as someone who could easily eat a small pizza to himself, it did make me want an in between size (medium) as they only have small or large pizzas. the toppings on the pizza were maine blueberries, lemon ricotta, and shallots on an olive oil base. I loved the flavor and it was substantial enough for a meal even though it seemed like more of a dessert pizza when I first heard of it. it's a savory and slightly sweet pizza that works really well. I saw they also have a maine blueberry pancake pizza for breakfast which also sounds like something I need to try. definitely on my list of quick and easy dinners. tl;dr get the maine blueberry pizza for lunch or dinner, it's worth it! they only have two sizes: small or large. they also have blueberry pancake pizza for breakfast, too. read more

Recent visit with a friend as I had heard great things. Ordered a Caprese sandwich and fries. Also took a meatball sub to go. Was disappointed with both. The Caprese sandwich was very dry with huge soggy tomatoes The other ingredients were sparse. The fries were good hot but once they cooled they tasted like grease. My son said the meatball sub tasted like dirt. He didn't elaborate but he also didn't finish it and threw it in the trash. I went about an hour before they closed so maybe that made the difference. Not much great to say about this place probably won't be going back. read more

It was delicious! The food was a good amount for the price you pay. We got the crispy pork bowl for $17 and some change but the money is worth it for the amount of food and the quality of the ingredients. The music is wonderful and it's such a peaceful environment. Not too much happening all around. The servers are also very nice and good with cleaning. 10/10 would go again! read more

A surprisingly good pie, and it came to my house hot. My wife brought it home for me and it was spot on. Gosh, it was good. A blueberry pie with onion, it was sweet and savory. The crust was fairly thin and crisp. It was a little chewy and full of flavor. We had it again two nights later, and the pie held up to reheating. It was also good the second night. I am looking forward to sampling another pie soon. Two thumbs up. read more

Food was hot, fast, and absolutely delicious! The prices are a little steeper than you'd expect, but you get your money's worth with big portions and high quality ingredients. The staff were helpful and the place is clean. It's your typical millennial burger joint, but this one is actually quite good. EXCEPT, the music is TERRIBLE. It's painfully corporate chipper crap, and utterly 2000's in the worst possible way. I'd rather listen to elevator music. It got on my nerves. If you are hard of hearing, or completely deaf, I'd definitely check this place out. read more

The only good outdoor pizza destination in Augusta, and dog friendly patio in the shade! The pizza menu is excellent, and this month, a Bird & Company special, Mexican corn. Amazing. My fav Mexican joint with pizza collaboration! I will get that next time, but I did have the very good Mexican lager and a delicious quinoa chicken bowl (vegan option available). Clean, mod interior. The service was super friendly (volunteered dog bowl) and friendly. One extra star because of the bizzare review criticizing pizza left out in open? Uh, those are slices ready to go, like in all slice joints. read more

5/5, amazing food, even better service. Insanely accommodating and kind. Gave us the opportunity to open a tab and order stuff and just add on to that. It was very nice and dim, Gabriel and Sarah were incredible, the atmosphere was very welcoming and cozy. I 10/10 would recommend. Definitely go there. This is the second Brickyard Hollow. I have eaten at and it's really amazing-the atmosphere is terrific and super friendly staff! Beers are well defined and definitely delicious! I recommend any of their pizzas but I'm not a fan of fruit on pizza. Definitely get here! read more

We had been looking forward to trying this place out. Small casual place, order at the counter and they bring it to you table. Nice menu with different items. I had Vietnamese Bahn Mi sandwich, my wife had a protein bowl, both really good, and the Trestle IPA was excellent! read more

Recently tried the newest Brickyard Hollow in the Augusta Marketplace. A coworker and I stopped in for lunch. It was fine. I wish I could say I was "WOWED" but we were not. You go in and place your order at the counter I will say they have an extensive menu lots of yummy noms to try. We shared some potstickers and fries before our pizza came out. Their portions were generous, their prices were good for the area. Our only complaint was the food tasted overly-salty and I TOTALLY get that, (after all it's a brewing company and I love salty food) but since we were working and on a lunch break; enjoying a cold beer to counter the salt was not an option for us. I will absolutely go back when I'm off the clock to throw back a cold beer or two and nom some crispy salty fires and a slice of roni. read more

I wouldn't typically comment however a recent experience still has me shaking my head. Stopped in for an early dinner with my daughter. We sat toward the back but I overheard one of the guys ask the other one what he was drinking. I noted another male worker answer that it had notes of blueberry and he was standing next to the draft beer. I couldn't believe it when I looked and he was drinking a cup of beer on the job. Now as someone who has worked in food service I know for a fact that no one is supposed to drink alcohol while working. Then one of them was talking about the size of the pizzas in inches and another young guy said, "yeah that's what she said." Seriously at this point I was disgusted. What has happened to decorum? It's bad enough to pay $50 for a small pizza and pretzels but with a side of this it's tasteless. read more

We stopped by on a Thursday for lunch at the Augusta, Maine location. I ordered a slice of pizza along with a taster flight of beer and my wife ordered wings. Our total was a shocking $38.02 including tip! The young woman behind the counter was really hustling to take care of eveybody and did her best to provide excellent service. The beers ranged from excellent to just okay. The Bitters was excellent and exactly what the style should be (though admittedly not one of my favorite styles), the New England IPA lacked the big fuitiness I expected and the Double IPA lacked balance due to missing malt character. The "spring trail ale" improved as the beer warmed and developed more malt character. Overall, the service was excellent, the food was good but overpriced, and the beer was mediocre. read more

I have never been to any Brickyard Hallow . I had checked out the menu of the one in Eustice and they seemed to have a great menu . We walked in Sunday afternoon and it was dead. One couple eating . No table service . Had to walk to the back where the counter was with one worker. We asked if they had menus. He pointed to some. Very small menu . Pizzas. The place had bad ambiance and a weird vibe . Also it was not clean to say the least . While at the counter we noticed about ten large pizzas out in the open with slices missing . We took the menu back to the table but decided to leave and not order do to the careless ness of the food being left out . Not impressed to say the least . Came here on a whim and boy! Am I glad! We were here for lunch, so we didn't drink any beer but the food is outstanding and the service was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I had the Greek salad - very fresh with high quality ingredients. Dressing served on the side was delicious. It filled a 12inch plate so the serving was generous. My companion had the spinach, tomato and goat cheese pizza and said it was outstanding. We shared the crispy Brussels sprouts and they didn't disappoint. We're already planning our next meal here! read more

We ordered two pizzas. A cheese and a combo with sausage, onions, and peppers. Both pizzas had very little cheese. The sauce was bitter and had little flavor. Topping were ok, but very few topping were put on the combo. The crust was a little overcooked and it had a bland flavor. Overall, not pizzas were would want to order again. The staff was odd. No customers were there, yet I waited at the register to order for at least 5 min. When they came over, they seemed annoyed. When I needed a box, no one would come back to the counter to see what I needed. After five minutes, someone came out to collect dirty dishes, figured out what I was waiting for, and he came over to tell me where to find boxes. It was an odd experience with the staff, the pizza was not worth going back for, and the price was typical for brick oven pizza. The tables were not very clean either. Cushnoc is only a few miles away, and they serve much better brick oven pizza. Go there. read more

Bare bones review. Expect fast food restaurant quality food and service, because this is what BH has turned into. Expect to get your own plates, utensils, napkins and drinks. If you want a container to bring your food home, you have to get that yourself. You order and pay at the desk, and then have to sit and wait. They push the option to tip, but remember, you do the work. Terrible business model - it's set up for a highly efficient Chipotle, but it wreaks havoc in a pizza joint. Definitely NOT a place for a date. Bring back Wander pizza!!!!!! read more
