I've been ordering from Antigoni's since I moved to Augusta 3 years ago and always order their House pizza, but with modifications: no bacon, no ham - add anchovies. This pizza reminds me of pizza from my childhood and I crave it often enough that over 3 years, I've gotten quite a few. I've always assumed they felt it was a fair exchange: to remove 2 meats to add 1 (fish) because I have never been charged extra for my modification not once, even when I call the restaurant directly to order. Last night, however, I was asked to cough up an extra $3.25 for my anchovies even though again, I removed 2 meat items. I am greatly disappointed, so much so that I'm moving on. I'll get my slice of nostalgia somewhere else. Too bad. Well, thank you for 3 years of pizza. read more

Order Gyros and Cheese pizza with garlic sauce. The Gyros were beef with tzatziki on the side. It was good but the beef was weird almost like it was remnants and it was mush no real texture. very slow at preparing food, waited over an hour and half for a small pizza and three sandwiches. food was cold. portion sizes definitely don't meet the prices. spend the extra money and either go to Domino's or whippers. read more

Antigoni's Pizza is a good lunch/dinner spot if you're in the mood for some pizza. They have a sizable parking area with plenty of room for seating. The restaurant is clean and well-kept. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. I ordered the plain cheese pizza and the Bianca white pizza. Both pies had delicious, light, airy, buttery crusts that reminded me of a good dinner roll. The plain pie had a thin, crisp bottom with a delicious, sweet sauce and a buttery cheese. The Bianca's cheese blend was excellent. Lots of oil and a light garlicky flavor were present for the Bianca pie. Overall, I enjoyed the food and would happily return. read more

I hate to give three stars but I can't give a half star. The food is good. The wings are.. lacking. They are the prepackaged freezer wings. Buffalo tastes like nothing. Their salads..are full and fresh. Go for a salad. The pizza.. not MY favorite crust but it is good. Their sausage is too greasy but tasty. Big delicious Salads, good pizza, crappy wings. I will go back and try their lasagna and other sandwiches and see if I can up my rating. They are hard working and worth the effort. read more

AH-MAY-ZING!! Owner is very friendly & accommodating, so is the wait staff. It's somewhat self-service, but the prices are super reasonable, especially considering the quality, quantity & flavor!! My parents ordered a couple thin crust 2-topping pizzas that were loaded w/toppings & the crust while fairly thin, was not icky cracker style - it was still a yummy pizza crust. They were very impressed! My shrimp & spinach Alfredo has a generous portion of shrimp, they don't skimp on the tasty Alfredo sauce - it was DELICIOUS & large bowl for less $$ than the dry nearly sauce less garbage at pretend Italian Olive Garden. My parents & I tend to be food snobs/fussy. We give Antigoni's TWO THUMBS UP!! We don't eat out much, but we WILL be back!! read more

This place hit it out of the park! We ordered the Loaded Steak and Cheese sandwich, a Meatball sandwich, a Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza, a Pepperoni, black olive, mushroom Pizza, a pinwheel salad and a order of fries! There were 3 of us and we were a lot heavier when we left lol The sandwiches were amazing. Full of tasty meat and toasted to perfection! The pizza was delicious. The crust perfectly crunchy and the toppings were fresh and generous. The salad was enormous and full of colored veggies and ham & cheese pinwheels. But those fries so crispy and salted just right! This has been my wife's favorite pizza spot since she got here and now I understand why! Next time pictures. read more

Used to have great food/service. Tonight went in and was ignored by THREE employees and when I asked one for service was told she was a trainee and not doing that. A small child (apparently the manager's?) said he would help us and went into the kitchen to get us help. Food was too salty and not very good. Had better at gas stations for half the price. What a great new addition to Augusta! The inside has been completely renovated. I wouldn't have guessed that I walked into the old Dickey's BBQ Pit. The restaurant is absolutely immaculate, a clear indication that the owners care about both their guests' comfort and are proud of what they do. The food is top notch. From their pizzas and sandwiches to the salads and appetizers, there is something at Antigoni's for all tastes. They also have beer and wine available for purchase in addition to the normal (and some not so usual) cooler beverages. read more

You just can't find a Good pizza place anymore, but Antigoni's is there to save the day. They haven't been there that long either, but they serve it exactly as you want it. I'm extremely picky and they suit my taste and then some. There have been times they weren't open, restaurants tend to be short handed anyway. So the way I find out if they are open is either call and it is obvious when picked up, drive by and you will see a line if your close enough to drive by without to much gas expense or make it a dual trip that you needed to go into Augusta anyway. Lastly is if you make up a menu and they have your menu's stored, just see if it will go through or change a few items and try, you will know at that point. There is a little effort involved to make sure they are open, if your short handed and it does cost to have someone working so it would be worthless if someone was and no one came in. To me it is certainly worth the trip. They have cute little deserts as well and it makes it kind of fun to try something you have never tried before. Serving portions are reasonable and lots of sides if you need more. I also like that the dough is handmade and I can tell whether it is or not. I think most Pizza lovers can. Give them a try and if your not a Pizza Lover, there are many other things on the menu like Lasagna. I have no complaints, it has already built up a nice clientele, including everyone I talk to always had positive things to say about Antigonis. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. read more

Great to have a place in Augusta that has gyros, one of my favorite quick bites! Menu looks great with lots of interesting salads and pizza to try. The gyros was fantastic, tightly rolled with not too much sauce. Good fresh produce and tasty grilled meat. Nice beer selection as well. Had baklava to go. It was fantastic. Friendly, clean atmosphere with really good food. Airy crust, with lots of cheese and plenty of toppings on the pizzas. The small pizzas were plenty large for one person. The taco salad came with salsa, sour cream, peppers and chips....best taco salad I've eaten in Maine!! And again, hands down, best customer service I've received in a long time. They have delicious salads here! I always appreciate a restaurant that has great salads since that's what I eat the most of, being low carb. Their service is also great. It has a fast food feel since you order and pay at the counter, then they bring your food to you and check on you, so it's kind of like the best of both worlds. Got a spaghetti dinner. Thing was like molten lava and dripping through the bag. Spaghetti was overcooked and mushy. Sauce tasted like it was just tomato paste. Guy said they made the meatballs in house, but looked like cheap frozen, premade stuff. Literally couldn't eat it, was not impressed. First time going here and the last. As soon as we sat down after we ordered our pizza and beer we saw a cockroach. It came out of the Table number sign that they give you from the kitchen. I quickly covered it with the cap from my kids drink and showed the manager. All he had to say was, "Oh I'm so sorry. I have no idea where that came from." He killed it with the napkin we provided him. He asked if he could get us anything extra like dessert but we declined. He SHOULD have just reimbursed us immediately with no questions asked!!! I couldn't believe it! I will not be recommending this place at all! We COULD have made a big stink about it to the busy restaurant and cleared the place but we didn't. The cockroach that came out of the number holder they gave us for our order really soured my thought of eating there again. The manager apologized and said he was sorry, but not as sorry as we were.
