I'm surprised that I'm the first person to do a review on this place... Ah well, here we go. lol.
For the record, this is really a 4.5 star rating.
I have a long history with Camperland. I first started going there when I was probably 13ish, with my parents. Spent a couple summers there. I also became friends with the owners' son.
Anyway, back in those days, they already had the nice outdoor pool and hot tub. I think they were pretty new additions at the time. There's also a big clubhouse with a restaurant (small menu, but good people running it).
Some of the sites are in wooded areas, while others are divided by TALL cedar shrubs. The sites where I was located were more open concept, but in my case it was convenience over scenery.
Bridal Falls Waterpark is adjacent to and operated by Camperland. As I learned, this is a newer management team and the staff there are treated much better than before, so you'll probably have a good experience there when you bring your kids.
When I was a kid, we had a trailer. But as an adult (single, no kids), I like to rock a tent. So I camped in the tenting area, and opted for power (charge my cell) and water (wash my hands). They do have a laundry room, pay showers (and not expensive, I might add), and of course ample bathroom amenities. In addition, a small library to kill time while getting that laundry done. They also have a pay WIFI service (I didn't use it, but it's there if you need it).
There's also a small store attached to the check-in office. Good for getting some of the camping items you may have left at home.
One thing that was kind of disappointing, was the firewood. While it was about $3 cheaper than what I usually find where I live, it was soaked. Took me an hour to get a fire going! Even with the fire starter they sell in the store there. And it was a reluctant fire. I'm sure if I had said something, they would have compensated me somehow, but just know that your firewood might be wet. Hey, maybe it won't be. Ask them if you can open a bag and check it yourself.
If you want to see a really impressive waterfall, Bridal Falls is about a 20 min walk from Camperland. And for you flower fans, Minter Gardens is just across the highway, 5ish minute drive. read more
