Anna does not state on any of the receipts that the purchase was final, and therefore the proper customer service aspect of business would most certainly be to refund us. The dress was bought the same day the refund was requested, and yet Anna spoke over me on the phone, belittled myself and my daughter, and when she raised her voice and I thus reciproctaed, she hung up on me not once, but twice. I am utterly appalled at her behavior as a community business. She is uncouth, lacking in forth righteousness and my daughter now is A. out of money, B. out of a prom dress, and C. cannot attend prom due to the aforementioned. My child is 17. We had 5 people and the bride. Only the brides mom and grooms mom were allowed to go inside. The other 3 had to stand outside (one being the step mom and one the sister) on the sidewalk. Everyone had and wore masks and were willing ready and capable of hand sanitizing. Just not a pleasant experience - if you are dressing shopping alone or with only 1 person this is your place. Dina, the owner and seamstress of Sealed with a Kiss, is genuinely one of the most incredible people I have ever met in my life. Not only is she supremely talented, but she is kind, patient, and trustworthy. I purchased a custom made dress from the LA designer Cinq over a year ago and when it finally came in, it was completely, devastatingly wrong. Sizing, details, all of it. Dina retook all my measurements, explained to the dressmaker exactly what needed to be done, and when the dress came back still wrong (the dressmaker having ignored Dina's instructions) with less than a couple of weeks until my wedding, Dina literally took it apart and rebuilt it from its pieces. It was perfect. It was better and more beautiful than I ever could have imagined and it fit me like a glove. Other important things for you to know: 1. my dress was made from heritage French silk tulle and satin, everyone tells you it is impossible to find a seamstress that work with fabrics like that. You would have thought Dina was born in those materials the way she so effortlessly handled them. 2. For Dina, it was never a question of whether I was going to get my dream dress or not, she was going to make it happen. I was so gutted and discouraged by how wrong my original dress was, I was 100% ready to just scratch it and buy a new one, but instead of agreeing and selling me one, she told me she was going to make it happen, and she DID. There are very few people on this earth I think of as highly as I think of Dina. If you are within a few hours of Sealed with a Kiss, drive there. This is the seamstress you want. Figuring out your wedding dress is such an emotionally vulnerable experience and I feel so incredibly lucky and grateful to have had Dina as my partner throughout the process.

I went in 2 weeks ago after the bride and myself calling ahead twice to explain that my sister and I were not purchasing a dress through them but needed to get measured for the bridesmaid dresses. Upon arrival we were taken upstairs by an employee who seemed new. She was fine but measured us and wrote it on a yellow post it note and said she would write it on a card for their files in case we had any questions, we could always call back. When we went downstairs to leave we were informed there was a 5 dollar per person charge for getting measured. We were not told prior to this on the 2 previous phone calls or when we checked in for our scheduled appointment. Fast forward 2 weeks when I just called them to confirm my measurements because I misplaced the card they wrote my measurements on. The manager first informed me they wouldn't keep a card on file if we weren't purchasing from them directly. I told her that the girl made a card for us and told us it would be on file...she rudely asked for the "event name" to which i said "the brides name?" she rudely said YES, which I then provided. She did have a card on file...but only the dress style number..not our measurements...WHAT WAS THE POINT in going, paying 5 dollars and getting measured if they are of absolutely NO help...extremely unprofessional. First, they took my dress in and literally made it 1.5 inches to small, it would not even zipper. So then I had to come back and they were trying to put boning in, but it did not look good so then I had to ask for them to take it out. And STILL the dress is too small but they would not listen to me when I asked for it to be slightly bigger. It felt like I was being dismissed and they were really poor at communication. I was hoping for better, especially after all of the good reviews, but it did not live up to the expectations. For how expensive they are, I would spend my money elsewhere.

Honestly, my dress ended up being $500 and was from their private collection- I will just have to add a belt or some beading to make it less plain but it's gorgeous and the price was perfect. They also carry famous designers like Stella York, Essense of Australia, and more. You can see their selection on their website and I suggest checking their instagram which is what drew me in. They have 2 other locations in VA and i wish them plenty of success. This one in Waynesboro was big and you will get plenty of privacy and there is good lighting.
