I am happy to say that my experience at this bridal shop exceeded all of my expectations. Melody was my stylist and was phenomenal. She was patience, kind, listened to what I was drawn to, and pulled amazing dresses. Towards the end of my appointment I was torn between two dresses. With another party right behind mine, Melody suggested we come back at the end of the day to try the two contenders back on and to take some time to think about it. My party and I went to lunch, reflected on the dresses, and came back at the end of the day to revisit the two. At this time, all the other clients were gone and it was just my party, Melody, and one other stylist in the shop. I tried the two back on and was able to make my final decision and find my wedding dress! Melody never rushed me or seemed irritated that she was staying longer at work to help me find my dress. She was wonderful and provided outstanding customer service! I had a feeling I would find my dress at a&bé bridal and am happy to say that I did. I 100% will recommend this shop to other brides and hope you give them a chance and book your appointment here!

Elizabeth was kind, fun, professional, and she made me feel so comfortable throughout the wedding dress fittings. I had done a wedding dress fitting a few weeks prior and it was not the best experience, which made me pretty hesitant to doing a second one. However, Elizabeth changed all of that for me, and I had the best time! She listened to my preferences, what I like vs. don't like, areas of my body I wanted to accentuate vs. hide, and made the entire experience such a memorable part of my wedding planning process. Elizabeth took the time to curate different dresses for me to try on, took into consideration when I provided feedback, and was NEVER ever inserting her opinion for her own benefit. She also took into consideration my price range, and was always transparent about dresses being a couple hundred dollars over my budget. Two of my best friends were also present (one in person and the other was on FaceTime), and she even got a tripod for my phone to be placed on when trying dresses so he could see everything better! Customer service 10/10. I also appreciate how beautiful Elizabeth made me feel, complimenting and hyping me up, which is what I needed for a semi-timid bride. Thank you Elizabeth and a&bé for the amazing experience, and for helping me find my perfect dress! a&bé corporation - give Elizabeth all the flowers and raises!

I wanted the beautiful dress, just like all brides, but the thought of spending thousands for a dress I would wear for one day felt so strange too. I wanted the perfect dress, but without the weight on my conscience that I was not only spending a lot but being unsustainable or wasteful. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I found Bride for a Cause, a shop that aligned with my ideals and also felt far more wallet-friendly. The shop is bright and welcoming, the appointments laid-back (and a little DIY), and the staff very friendly and helpful. Most importantly, though, Brides for a Cause is a perfect trifecta of affordable, sustainable, and charitable -- which made this bride feel great. They collect donations of used or sample dresses, sell them at a deep discount, and then pass along the proceeds to a myriad of inspiring causes supporting women. I'll be honest, knowing that they would be limited to what was donated, I really went to say that I tried and with low hopes that they would be able to make my dress dreams come true. I was prepared to go back to a traditional shop. Instead, I walked out not only with my perfect dress, but with the knowledge that I was being sustainable and supporting great causes. And the $600 price tag did not hurt. I think my dress had not been worn previously, so it needed a bustle and other alterations, which turned out to be more complicated than expected. Still, even with all that, I ended up spending around $900 total on my dress -- well under just the starting price of a similar gown bought at a traditional shop. On top of that, the DIY nature of the shop (where you pick your own dresses off the rack versus having an attendant bring them to you), turned out to be a lot of fun for my sister, niece, and me! One piece of advice: I went to a traditional shop first to have an array of try-ons and hone in on my style preferences (with the expectation that I'd return if I didn't find a dress at Brides for a Cause). I'd highly recommend that to anyone, because it was great to have a professional help pinpoint things from the inspiration photos I'd brought, and then we were able to take notes on what we liked and didn't from the dresses I tried -- making it lot easier to go into Brides for a Cause and find something.

We came earlier than our appointed time, but they were more than accommodating and had a VIP room ready for us. We had such an amazing experience with Dana. From the moment she walked into the room, we were immediately more excited and eased how anxious our bride was. Dana was very patient with all of us, and always had the best attitude with all of us. Our bride had a Pinterest board of the vision she was going for, and every dress Dana pulled was a hit. We probably "oooh"ed and "ahhhh"ed at every single one. Dana had her try on every kind of style close to the bride's vision "just in case". She ended up saying yes to a dress (the third dress tried on), and Dana put on a whole production with a veil, sleeves, and a bouquet and even had our bride sit with her thoughts for a minute and envision herself in that dress during the wedding. This was such a great experience, that we cancelled our second dress appointment at a different spot. 10/10 experience!

We got there a couple minutes before her appointment and even after checking in, were essentially ignored while other parties were greeted and escorted inside. This happened for a while with people who came in after us getting much more seamless service; we had to re-alert the front desk staff that we were still waiting before we were finally led back. I will say the stylist was kind though once she asked my friend for her preferences, she disappeared for almost ~30 min. This definitely cut into our already delayed appointment and took away from the overall experience. There was a bit of a gap between what my friend was looking for and what the stylist pulled though I don't think this was their fault at all. Towards the end, we hadn't found THE dress and there was definitely an all hands on deck moment where multiple people came by to grab dresses, clear the area, and "assist". I honestly think it would have been more constructive to literally state that we were approaching the end of our appt time and wrapping up. Though this store carries a good amount of variety, I would not recommend this experience to other brides. It felt rushed, impersonal, and overall detracted from the shopping process for my friend. The store itself is expansive; the front exterior facade is a complete fake out because it winds and winds in the back and has a good amount of capacity. Parking is street parking which can get busy/full so allow time for that as well.

Thanks to Neetu, she helped me obtain a custom-made shawl, turban, and groom set. I was so happy with my wedding photos thanks to her! I've also purchased multiple outfits for various events (suits, gowns, lehngas). She always knows what suggestions to make based on trends and your comfort. I brought 6 in-laws (non-indian) to her store and she helped them pick out outfits based on their likes and sizes. Her tailoring services are always impeccable. Suggestion: Neetu is very popular for bridal services, so it's best to set up an appointment with her instead of walk-in. This was the first stop on our second day (not consecutive) in the hunt for the perfect dress. Grace and White Bridal came highly recommended by a handful of friends, so we had to make an appointment here. I tried to make the appointment for the bride, but due to the questions asked, I couldn't and didn't want to answer them. They were personal and preferential, so I actually had to have her make the appointment. Also, this is the ONLY bridal shop in Sacramento that actually makes a bride pay for their first appointment. It cost $30 for the appointment, so I guess we paid for our own champs ;) And to note, which their website notes, the $30 fee will go toward your dress if you find one there. We were kindly greeted by our sales associate (SA). I wish I could remember her name. I do remember I loved her dress and she easily shared where she bought it and how recently -- yes, I did go buy it :) Back on track, there was a group of us - bride, MOTB, MIL, MOH, Cousin, and a bridesmaid surprised us by joining shortly after we sat down. The SA was extremely kind and offered us glasses of champs while we waited for the bride to try on her first dress. I will say, she was understaffed, because she was dealing with what seemed like an emergency on the phone and trying to service us while we were there in person. She did the best she could, but I believe it would have been a better experience if she wasn't having to multitask. The brick interior is welcoming with tons of fresh light from the many windows. It is very inviting and feels extremely clean. The interior decor is very similar to many bridal shops, but still super cute. Fun and eclectic furniture, but open and inviting. If you are a bride looking to try on 20+ dresses, this might not be your spot. It's a small, local bridal shop. They have more than 20 dresses, but their inventory is on the smaller side. They have lots of beautiful options, in varying price ranges, but they are only as big as they can be. They also had a 'sale' rack with dresses that were as-is and 'last ones' available. Might be of interest if you are cost sensitive. Overall, it was a nice experience. Not our favorite, but nothing was bad at all. We enjoyed our time there, even though the bride did not find her dress there. Bridal dress shopping is surely an experience...
