However, upon searching online, I discovered a location in the Poughkeepsie Galleria, which I visited this past Thursday. They offer a wide selection of beautiful gowns. After trying on many, I found one that I loved. They needed to make some alterations to the gown, and I picked it up on Friday night. Although their prices are somewhat high, the quality is worth it! She is incredibly organized, thoughtful, professional, has a great eye for design and is just generally a delight to work with. I cannot recommend her enough, you will not regret hiring her. My husband (!) and I just got married this past weekend and man did Kayleigh do a fantastic job. Having gone through the process now I would say the most important thing to look for in a planner is organization, which Kayleigh has in spades. The planning process unfortunately coincided with a very stressful time for me career-wise (finishing grad school, job searching and then starting a new job). It took such a weight off my shoulders just being able to trust 100% that Kayleigh was on top of everything. Meeting with her was always a delight and she went above and beyond for us every step of the way. Also she did an excellent job designing the wedding. That was really the last thing I wanted to think about and Kayleigh took a half baked Pinterest board and some off hand comments I made and turned it into a detailed design board that perfectly captured what I wanted. The month of the wedding was where I really realized how out of our depths we would have been without her. There were so many more details that needed to be planned than I realized, particularly around the timeline. Kayleigh joined us for calls with our vendors and countless times she would ask questions that were absolutely critical but never occurred to me to ask. We even got compliments from our other wedding vendors about how exceptionally organized and on top of everything she was. I'm truly so grateful we decided to hire her, if my husband and I had been steering that ship it would have been an absolute disaster. We are pretty organized people but we also have demanding jobs and simply would not have been able to do it all and do it well. And on the day itself she really blew everyone away. Kayleigh has a real talent for herding cats (our family) with a gentle hand. She got everyone and everything where it needed to go and the day went off without a hitch. Some special highlights include making sure my mother in law had a comfortable place to stand for her speech because she was nervous about losing her balance, making sure I had a moment alone before the ceremony when I was freaking out and our whole families crashed the room we were in, and many more. Plus I'm sure there were many things she did for us behind the scenes that I didn't even see. Honestly the day was pretty perfect and a large part of that is thanks to Kayleigh. Additionally for florals we worked with Jessica from Wild Blooms. She was great to work with and very willing to work within our budget (florals was one of the places we were looking to save money and she was very kind and supportive about that). She was very professional and a lovely person, I would definitely recommend her.

Prior to visiting Antonetta I had already visited a "boutique" style shop as well as David's Bridal. While the boutique offered a different experience when it came to lighting and mirrors (making you feel super glamorous for an hour), Antonetta was able to create a completely unique and individual experience for me. Compared to some other shops, there was no time limit set on my fitting and when I asked how many dresses I could pull to try on she was clear that I was allowed to try on as many as my heart desired for as long as I wanted. And THAT I DID. I probably put the gown I purchased on about 13 times before finally making the decision, and that is on top of the at least 20 other dresses we pulled and tried on. Each dress is listed WITH IT'S SIZE, so you know what you're about to try on and the reality of whether it will fit in the moment. Instead of clipping me into each dress, Antonetta spent time showing different ways in which the dresses could be shaped to fit me based on my desired look and body shape. When she could not alter something to my desired style she was honest and we moved on from that dress. For me, the knowledge in the moment from the seamstress who would be doing all of the alterations on my dress was super helpful and important. I did not like the experience at other boutiques knowing I was clipped into the dress perfectly with the responsibility of then going and searching for a seamstress to make the dress actually fit that way. Antonetta KNOWS the dresses she carries and almost seems to have a personal relationship with each one. (Quick side note at this point, Antonetta was in my dressing room with me as I dressed and undressed based on MY comfort and was a GEM. In NO WAY was I made uncomfortable about my body. Even on the contrary she specifically had me getting into dresses to show me how I could achieve certain looks without the worry of spanx or shapewear. I was so enamored by Antonetta's genuine kindness toward me and my body. If a dress did not look good based on the style or the fit of my body, she was honest and I preferred that.) It is so clear from the beginning of working with Antonetta that she is going to be completely honest with you about EVERYTHING. From ordering timelines to honest realities of alterations and final looks, she will tell you yes when she can do something and no when she cannot envision or cannot execute what you're envisioning (even though I have not yet come to find a single thing that her skills are not capable of. Just look at the pictures of these dresses pasted all over her shop...). Since purchasing my dress I have gone in for two fittings to see and discuss the alterations she is making. From the beginning Antonetta wanted to schedule frequent appointments since we are completely altering the neck and backline of the dress. I am blown away by Antonetta's willingness to make adjustments and work with me on my vision. She truly wants to utilize her skills and alter the dresses she sells to make your gown individual to you.

After no update and no change in status for months, I grew concerned. I contacted the retailer in March and was told on 3/28/16 that my order was "on time" for shipment on 4/11/16. I received no further update until today 6/2/16 -- notifying that my dress shipped TODAY. Needless to say, a bridesmaid dress arriving over a month after the actual wedding occurred is completely useless. Trust me when I say I would have gladly paid full price (plus some) to avoid this nightmare. PLEASE do not support this business.
