I was in MASSIVE 2 week old pain in my right hip. My regular Chiropractor did a decent job but the…read moremuscles were still flaring and spasming. Obviously my bones were still out of their usual place. I prayed to God when I woke up in pain again for a gifted Doctor who knew what he was doing and could finally end this pain. Plus my husband said go to the Chiropractor, I won't let you help us until you do. But we weren't in our normal hometown and it was a Saturday morning! So after praying I asked God to guide me to a gifted Chiropractor who would get to the bottom of WHY my hip was killing me and FIX IT. I love my usual one in Round Rock. But we were in Arlington and I was BLESSED with Dr. Myers last week. I told Dr. Myers what was up. The top of my femur pushed into my hip causing a lack or range of motion and a TON of pain from all the pulled muscles cramping, spasming and locking up. I was tired of icing it up and taking pain killers to cope and then it keeps coming back. 2 other docs couldn't really touch it to the point where they successfully released the hip. I was ready for the painful muscle pressing/pulling first and bone adjusting second solution, no activators, please put me back together thank-you-very-much. He said "Well you're in Luck, I do this about 80X a day." He started pressing and stretching the inflamed muscle groups, gently working them out, untangling the knots and mess one by one methodically. Then he did the back and when he got to the hips I knew it was going to hurt, but the muscles were loosening up which is exactly what the other doctors didn't spend the time on. He applied a LOT of pressure to my spasming hip bone muscles which is exactly what you want to do to get them to relax, ease up and reset. It works, but it hurts like #3^#*@* and I knew it would. I was ready for it, but I did whine in pain a bit when he was pressing them out. He didn't flinch, neither did I, just reminded me to breathe in thru the nose out thru the mouth, I did. Once he got the hip muscles to let go he was able to yank my leg bone out of the hip socket with the usual kamikaze - like quick yank into it's rightful place and I felt the click and almost instant relief. He did what the others could not. Lord, I felt SOOOO much better!!!!! Waited 2 weeks to find just the right doctor for that! Dr. Meyers is the REAL DEAL! He also gave me electrical muscle stimulation to help the muscles relax and reset after being out of place for 2 weeks and some water to drink as I was going to need a lot to flush the lactic acid out of my system from all the spasming. During the electrical stimulation, I was so grateful and feeling so much better that tears involuntarily steamed down my face, not from pain but sweet relief. Not many Chiropractors (and I seen 30+ since I was 9) work the muscles out of spasm before moving the bones. This was key for me that day. I guess it depends on what the issues are and how much pain I was willing to endure in order to get the deep relief I was looking for. This was the 1st time I ever saw Dr. Myers. But Man am I glad I did. He is VERY TALENTED. I can't say enough good things about him. He totally understood where I was coming from and I've had this sort of thing happen before but not everyone can solve it so well. He DID! I don't trust many doctors other than Chiropractors and Psychologists. I'm not into pills, but I do take supplements. I wanted a REAL DOCTOR who knows how to solve Spine and Muscle lockups without gimmicks or drugs. He not only hit that out of the park but he knew to REALLY RELEASE THE MUSCLES FIRST SO THAT THE BONES WOULD MOVE. Which is what most Chiropractors miss. Some will put you on a table with a moving ball that warms yo up, some will out you on hot packs or towels. I was iced up. But It can be very painful and not everyone can tolerate that level of pain for the equal level of release. I'm grateful he saw that I could and was ready for it. The cause is that Bones slip out of place and then pull the Muscles into unusual VERY PAINFUL positions where they are supporting your weight, which is not their job in the wrong positions. The longer the muscles and bones are out of position, the longer it takes to get then back into place without the Muscle/Fascia Release. Anyway, he understood EXACTLY what I needed and not only was I gratefully out of debilitating pain, but I was able to go back to work helping my family do demolition work on our home and I got to be instrumental with that. Dr. Myers will listen to you and give you what you need: Relief. He is ONE OF THE, if not THE MOST GIFTED Chiropractors I've ever had the pleasure to meet. I will take my business up there as often as I can even just for a regular tune up. He is Young and has learned a lot more recent useful things than the older Docs. Dr Rahman is *extremely* skilled, and I recommend him very highly. finding a genuinely good chiropractor is next to impossible. Sadly there are more quacks out there than genuinely qualified, effective chiropractic docotrs. Dr Rahman is one of those rarities. 2) Dr Rahman as a person, and the experience of being treated by him is totally unconventional. This is not a bad thing at all. In a corporate controlled, homogenous world of sameness and well groomed odor free consumer amoeba who are trained to accept and desire this, many can only accept what they've been trained to understand. Dr Rahman defies expectations and convention in the best possible way. To wit: Most chiropractors have you come in, they might x-ray you, put you on a roller table, or apply heat. Then they adjust you and send you on your way. come back in a week or maybe two. Keep coming back weekly or bi-weekly until you're "better" whatever that might be. This is appropriate if you've been seriously injured. Otherwise, it's just someone cashing in. Dr Rahman completely blows all of that up. To begin with, Dr Rahman is blind. some will make automatic judgements based on this information. I ask those who would - have you considered that blind people are, in fact, far more sensitive than those with sight. Not just hearing, either. I have no doubt that Dr Rahman senses far more with his fingers and hands than other sighted chiropractors. The proof is in that he diagnosed a spinal curvature that all other chiropractors have missed, and this is a fair number of previous doctors. He was able to prove this assertion by demonstrating it with something my body was not doing, or doing poorly. I'm not just simply taking his word for it. Another unconventional aspect is the equipment he uses. He has various tables to allow the spine to lengthen and open up the vertebrae, as well as other methods and processes that make for the most effective adjustments I've ever had. It is very apparent that Dr Rahman genuinely cares and wants his patients to be well. He is a man of high integrity, and seeks to give those in his care the best treatment he can. Sure the office is a little funky. So what? I've been to spotless modern offices where the adjustments were a total waste of money. If you're more concerned with results, and most importantly, relief, then get over it. He uses equipment and methods you have *never* encountered before. Yes, I said never. I've lost count of the number of chiropractors I've seen in the last thirty-odd years, since an injury where I threw myself from a motorcycle. Dr Rahamn uses equipment and methods that are a first for me. And they are absolutely effective. He takes his time with you and makes sure he fully understands what is going on with your body. He did this with me and has corrected things all others have missed. Finally, he didn't do the usual 'come back in a week, then eventually every other week', etc. I have seen him twice and have received total relief from what sent me to him. Now I'm going back once amonth. And he's very affordable. My insurance isn't taken by his office, so it's out of pocket. The price is well within my budget, and only once a month. I can't recommend Dr Rahman enough. Yep, he is an unusual guy with an unusual bedside manner and unusual equipment. We need more doctors of all kinds like Dr Rahman. If we did, the world of health care would look *very* different, and vastly better if there were more doctors who blaze their own trail. TL;DR: No, there isn't one. Go get an attention span.
