When you go thru security at Terminal 3, you're in a massive holding hall. Your choices are limited and there's not a lot of places to sit either. bridge though is a nice alternative It's got a decent sized menu with plenty of seats for larger parties too. We worried about getting out on time but they rushed the order thru. Prices are about what you would expect and there's something on the menu for everyone. As for the food itself, it's decent. The fish n chips weren't the best I've had on the trip but the fish itself was decent. A little too greasy overall. The fries were forgettable. Others like the scotch egg and the burger. It's not that it's bad value, it's that you are at the airport. The food was actually really good, it just cost about twice what I wanted to pay for it. Service was pretty quick, chips were proper skin on lumps of potato rather than frozen and from a bag, chicken had a nice crisp coating with some tasty seasoning. The bacon and chicken in the carbonara was full of flavour too. It's busy and has the hustle and bustle you would expect from an airport watering hole. Grab a pew, note your table number and order at the bar. There are a selection of beers available on tap, including some real ales. The major downer for me here was the lack of sockets. It's an airport, I want to recharge my phone while I recharge my appetite and the options here were lacking. Ok, for airport food it is fine. But don't expect speedy service or anything spectacular. We had the traditional British breakfast: eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, mushroom, and toast. For a restaurant in an airport, this place is a solid four stars. We had about an hour before our flight and decided to get some breakfast. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered a Bloody Mary spicy and they brought the heat. Our entrees were served without delay and ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection. Portions were on par for the price, which are on the low end for the location. By no means gourmet but considering you are in an airport they get the job done. Ok, again with the airport dining options. I know they aren't sexy, but when you need some food at Heathrow, you're going to think of me. And thank me. Bridge! Encircling the "waiting area" to find out where your departure gate might choose to be on this particular day (this is distinctly non-American airport culture, by the by)...you'll find a myriad of fast options: Starbucks, EAT, delis, McD's, etc. And then we have Bridge! Bridge! A nice, sit down establishment with extremely friendly staff, efficient and intelligent hosts to manage the melee (there is a que, you'll likely wait...it won't be long), a chair and table to relax at, a hot meal to enjoy and some caffeine to pump you up for that journey ahead. And you won't need to eat standing up, or balance anything in your lap. A proper meal to start your journey. I approve. I had the Classic (small order) English breakfast (sausage, eggs, ham, beans) and a large Americano for just a smidge over £10! I opted out of the toast, but a bit of jam on some bread would've surely been a nice complement. My server Barbara was kind and thoughtful and sweet and wonderful. So unexpected! Certainly better than you'll get on your flight, so soak it up friendly fliers! If you've time to spare before your flight this is great before a long haul flight to fill up. Amazing omelette! The wedge potatoes were perfectly done, crisp at the edges and soft in the middle. The baked tomato was savory goodness, too. Medium size soya latte was big enough to be a large, and the fresh OJ was great as well. If they had faster service, they'd be a 5 star for sure! read more

3.5 stars for airport dining. A solid choice if you end up in Terminal 3 at Heathrow and want a nice sit-down British meal before takeoff but don't want to spend more than 15 pounds per person. I had the lamb burger with chips and the hubs had the beef and ale (deconstructed) pie. Both were above average. Service was good and quick. You can also tell them you are in a hurry when you order and they'll bring you your food within 15 min. We didn't tell them that but the food came out within 15 anyways. read more

Don't try the Bacon Cheeseburger! Ambiance (Rating 3) The ambiance of this place is decent enough. It's a nice place to sit and have a beer but if you're going to eat you'll need at least 1.5 hours on your hands as they are SLOW with regards to service. As far as the food is concerned, you're safe ordering the fries and a beer and that's about it in my opinion. Service (Rating 2): These guys are so busy that good service is pretty much out of the question. It took us 30 minutes after we sat down to get our order in and 50 minutes to get our food. We had to choke down the disgusting food because we were out of time as we only had an hour to start with. Bacon Cheeseburger (Rating, 0): Yes, this is the first "0" I've ever given out. Maybe I just caught them on a off day (I doubt it though). ordered the bacon cheeseburger looking forward towards going home to the US which was a huge mistake. The bun was fine, but the meat was so dense, tasteless and overcooked that it was disgusting. I couldn't even finish it. I took a picture attached. Zero Stars!!! This place should be shut down. Prior to boarding a 10 hour flight, my work colleague and I stopped in for a bite to eat here. We ordered and, after a couple of bites, we both pushed our meals to the side because the food was poorly prepared and tasted awful. We even had a plate of fries that they managed to ruin. Long story short, two hours later, both my colleague and I were suffering from an awful bout of food poisoning. Not pleasant to be trapped on a ten hour flight in that condition. Order a burger and Yorkshire Tea, waitress spoke limited English (Surely essential to speak and understand good English when in a public facing role?). Asked at this time if I wanted a dessert!! Burger was awful, left majority of it. When waitress came to clear my plate, she asked if it was OK. I said "no it was nasty it tasted like burnt cardboard". She disappeared and a guy came and asked what was wrong with my food, I repeated the above, and he said "oh it's our policy to cook all burgers well done". I reiterated that it tasted like cardboard. The original waitress returned minutes later and said "if zere is somefing wrong with meal, you should tell us so we can replace it". Consider myself told!! The service was good but 2 of our group had the pancakes. They were dry and seemed to be precooked and then microwaved. On order was sent back and the server returned in 2 min. Food is average, service moderately slow. Fair selection on menu. But the lack of air conditioning is unforgivable. Unbelievably hot and uncomfortable, especially if you're seated at the back. How a simple AC system was forgotten when developing this restaurant is unreal, especially when you consider how the entire airport is air conditioned.
