This was one of very few food/drink options we found appealing in Terminal 5 of Heathrow London airport. We were seated and serviced right away. It is much like any other airport dining vibe as most are pretty generic. This one does have video running of Gordon Ramsay cooking in his home kitchen. And they have some shelves showcasing Gordon Ramsay cooking books. The food is priced high, but really not outrageous if you compare with most airport dining options. We had a Bloody Mary (spicy and tasty), Pepsi and Gordon Ramsay's fried miso chicken nuggets. They use thigh meat, so the nuggets are quite rich when paired with the breading and sauce. They were quite good and I would order them again, even though the price point is high. The service was spot on, as well. read more

This location is at Heathrow Airport (London). My grandson chose it because he's seen Gordon Ramsey's show. It was very busy at lunch time. Service was good but I wouldn't exactly say it was prompt or friendly. It was rather pricey but I'm sure that's because of the name. Not really worth it, IMO. Tiny portions ... high prices ... shite French fries. That about sums it up. This is kind of a diner/cafeteria with a bar. Service at the bar was incredibly slow. They had one bartender who also appeared to be serving all the tables, running the food and preparing the bills. From the time I ordered my drink until the time I could order my food after looking at the menu was 20 minutes. So, I decided to get the food to go as I only had an hour before my flight. In the spirit of Gordon Ramsay ... I will write my review as when he reviews other chefs because, he deserves it! "I got the fish and chips which was basically 3 fish fingers ... and a scoop of nasty, bagged French fries. Seriously, I have been to fucking baseball stadiums with better fries than these! They were ... stone ... cold!! No flavour or seasoning. They tasted like overcooked cardboard. The curry sauce they came with looked like ... baby diahreea. It didn't have the sharp curry flavour one would expect from a chip shop. It was served cold (like the chips) and tasted like sweet potatoes. Utter fucking disappointment. Ever been to a chip shop, Gordon? Fryers Delight? Try it sometime! For $23 USD (17 GBP) this was a meal a third grader would get in their school's cafeteria. Three tiny slivers of fish ... no bigger than a fish finger from a supermarket. After eating the 3 small pieces of fish, I was still so hungry I had to eat the cold, tasteless cardboard chips. The fish was good ... and the batter light but crisp. If this had been an entire portion of fish vs. 3 small pieces, my review might change a bit. But sodoff if you think a tiny meal like this is worth near a quarter hundred dollars ... plus $9 for the pint. The only thing I was looking forward to was Gordon's signature Sticky Toffey Pudding dessert, which they were out of all desserts. What can I expect from a celebrity chef whom hawks tv dinners in the frozen food section of Walmart? Not much. The quality has gone drastically down hill and based on all the reviews of his restaurants, he has basically been a culinary joke since losing his Michilin stars. I stopped by Gordon Ramsay Plane Food in London during a 10-hour layover on my way to South Africa. I needed a good meal and decided to give it a try...it wasn't bad. It's a mostly self serve setup where you order and pay on your phone, and the food is brought to your table. Staff are still walking around if you need anything, and one woman in particular was very attentive and kept checking in, which I appreciated. I was hoping to order from the breakfast menu, but it had just turned noon when I sat down, and they no longer serve it .. though I heard others ask for a breakfast item right after as well. So I ordered the harissa marinated lamb instead. It was decent and interesting, paired with pomegranate, though not especially flavorful. I did really enjoy the tomato soup. The ambiance is what you'd expect for an airport spot...lounge like, with Gordon Ramsay videos playing in the background. Overall, it was okay and did the job for a long layover. Just looking for a quick refreshment at T5 Heathrow Airport. Saw this upstairs and thought I would try it. Friendly host directed me to another lady who seated me fairly quickly. There was a paper menu on the table that had both breakfast and lunch items. I liked that there were two outlets to charge your device. I appreciated this as my phone battery was draining. There was a tiny TV at the table that showed Ramsay's cooking show of course. The lady server/hostess then points at the plastic sign with the QR code on the table and said that I had to order everything through the QR code. Huh? What? Even tap water? Yes. There is no tap water option. Just bottled still and sparkling water. I was still a bit put off by the scanning and ordering process. I scanned and it brings up just breakfast items (it was around 11:30am) and I order a crisp white wine. I wanted one of those sushi rolls that was on the paper menu. No sushi. Just eggs and sides. I wasn't super hungry so I just ordered a little side of haloumi. Then a confirmation comes up with the time I ordered. Waited for a human being as I wanted a glass of ice water. No one would come by. My haloumi came out about 10 min before my beverage. The man who brought the haloumi was polite and I asked for an ice water. He said of course. Wine shows up but never got the ice water. No human being came by to check on me. I gave up on the water and paid with the app. They were fairly fast with my order. But I really did not care for the ordering process. They had a bunch of staff rushing around but not really waiting on people. I get it that everything is automated these days. It was just so impersonal. There should at the very least be an option in the menu to order tap water. Plus why put a paper menu on the table with all these amazing items but not allow you to order some of the items on the app? Meh. read more

Solid Gordon Ramsay food experience at Heathrow Airport. It's definitely better than your average airport food. What I like the best about this restaurant is they have a lot of menu offerings from a selection of Gordon Ramsay restaurants around the world. First of all, you can never go wrong with his fish and chips and that is our favorite dish here. The nearest one to me is in Las Vegas, so it's not something that I eat often. Surprisingly the pizza looked really good. I saw a couple of pies come out when we're eating. My girlfriend ordered the full English breakfast, which was just OK. The taste was great. It's just an English breakfast, Nothing special. The signature sticky, toffee pudding. Dessert was good, but I think it's better at his other locations. Would I eat her again definitely as this is good airport food. The service was OK. We didn't really have one person assigned to us and we had a flag down waiters a few times. I needed to eat before my flight departed. I saw this place and was intrigued so I went inside. The layout was well designed. It was an open concept of the eating space (with no ceiling) which allowed you to view the entire vertical surroundings including the tall glass walls of the terminal. Upon being seated, you were instructed to use the QR code on the table to order your food. So I did. I chose a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on an English muffin and paid for the food on the spot. Within 10 minutes, my food arrived. Very efficient! The food tasted great. Was it over priced because Gordon Ramsey's name was in the restaurant name? Of course. But for me, I walked in with that expectation. I also enjoyed that I could sit at the restaurant and continue to wait for my plane in comfort without any of the wait staff encouraging me to leave. read more

Gordon Ramsay Plane Food was at terminal five, the terminal I was flying out of to go homeward and needed to get a meal since British Airways food is questionable. I came here on a Sunday before the rush hour, so was able to get a seat at a high-top table, which was nice. Shortly after I arrived, there was a line of people waiting to be seated. It's certainly one of the more popular spots to eat at if you want a sit-down restaurant. I ordered the butter chicken meal and sticky toffee pudding, and both were fantastic. The butter chicken with yellow rice and warm naan was true comfort food as you'd expect from this kind of meal. And the sticky toffee I had totally forgot I ordered was a delightful surprise when it came to the table after my lunch. It was warm, gooey, and delicious. My son liked his drink and said the buffalo burger was good but really filling. He only ate half! Intro: I had a layover in London and to my surprise, I stumbled upon a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. I am a Gordon Ramsay fan boy and I have been to eight or so of his restaurants. Luckily, I had a decent layover at London Heathrow so checking out Gordon Ramsay Plane Food for lunch was a no-brainer. Service (4/5): Service at airports is typically lackluster. Taking that into account, Gordon Ramsay Plane Food was better than average. Not up to the standard that Gordon has at his other restaurants I've been to, but still solid. You pay using a QR code so that speeds things up. Which is nice because people are often in a rush at the airport. The service I received wasn't that friendly and it was a bit slow, but solid overall under the circumstances. They also have hostesses out front giving out menus which is a nice touch. Ambiance (4.5/5): Again, taking into context that it's an airport, this is up there. You have the fresh and modern decor that is often seen at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. While not as elegant as some of his other spots, again, given that it's at the airport, it's impressive. They also have outlets next to most of the seating which is another nice touch. People are typically trying to charge their devices at the airport. Drinks (4/5): I had a passion fruit smoothie. A little pricey but tasty. Food (4/5): I went with the executive lunch which is a two-item price fixe lunch. You can choose from several options. They also guarantee that you'll have your full meal in 30 minutes which is a nice touch for travelers strapped for time. I started off with the wings. While they were a bit on the smaller side, the flavor was different than any wing flavor I've ever had in my life. And I've had a lot of wings in my day. A complex and interesting mix of Asian flavors with a little bit of a kick. Absolutely delicious! From there, I went with the short rib British burger. Not quite as good as a burger at Ramsay Burger in Vegas but an excellent burger nonetheless. The quality of the ingredients is a trademark at Gordon Ramsay restaurants and you see that here. No fries though, that's an additional charge. Overall: Airport food is always overpriced as you have a captive restaurant. You'll experience that at Gordon Ramsay Plane food too. I ordered the fish and chips, which came with wasabi paste and tartar sauce, while my husband went for the wings with green beans and a tomato salad. The verdict? The fish was fried to perfection but had the personality of a plain rice cake zero flavor, nada, nothing. My husband's wings were slathered in sauce but somehow still managed to be bland once you bit into them (a true culinary paradox). The green beans had a great crunch but tasted like they had been seasoned with pure air. The tomato salad? Shockingly, the best part of the meal. So, was it worth the hype? During my connecting flight between Milan and San Francisco, I had a five-hour layover at Heathrow Airport. I visited Gordon Ramsay's restaurant twice during this time. I first went for breakfast, and then, a few hours later, I returned to the adjacent bar seating area for a glass of wine and an appetizer. My first visit was pleasant, with attentive and kind service from a server whose name I didn't catch. On my second visit, Pooja took care of me. She was incredibly professional and personable, making me feel relaxed and welcome. Her stellar service and training were evident, creating a home-away-from-home atmosphere and allowing me to enjoy my time without feeling rushed. I ordered food here while waiting for my plane to take off from heathrow. It was quite busy in the restaurant, and it was pretty loud with crowded tables. I sat down and ordered a drink, but they were out of the whiskey I chose, so I just had a soda. I ordered a hamburger, which came out fairly quick. It was gross. It tasted like rubber and had no flavor. I called the waiter over and ask him if it was microwaved. After a little bit of stumbling, he told me the chef was out for the day and had made hamburgers prior, which they were warming up in the microwave. This is yet another let down of eating at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. The three that I have eaten at have been absolutely horrible, with terrible customer service. As a fan of Gordon Ramsay, I expected so much more of his restaurants. On a side note, I have written to the Gordon Ramsay Corporation, and it has been crickets. I received no correspondence back. Gordon Ramsay Plane Food is a delicious meal break in the London Heathrow airport! I am so happy I stopped by for a quick bite. I ordered from the "2 dishes for £25 in 25 minutes" express menu. For an appetizer, I selected the chicken wings, tamarind sauce, coriander dish. It tasted amazing - the sauce was perfect, and the meat fell off the bones very easily. As the entree, I selected the rigatoni, walnut pesto, sprouting broccoli, olives dish. This dish was also delicious! The pesto tasted fresh, and the olives added a nice hint of saltiness to the dish. I would definitely stop by again on a future visit and highly recommend the two dishes I tried. Some of the tables have outlets available so you can charge your personal devices. Unfortunately, my table was one of the few that did not have an outlet. My waiter Xavier was excellent! He held my table when I had to step outside of the restaurant for a moment. He also graciously went to check what gate my flight would board from when I said I was slightly worried about the gate not having been posted yet. We had a 4-hour layover at Heathrow airport. Food options are sketchy and Gordon Ramsay, being a familiar name, seemed to be the best choice. Located on the upper level of the terminal it is an attractive and comfortable spot. Breakfast is served until noon and that is the only thing you can order until noon. Our server was adequate but just didn't have much personality although I did try to engage her. My wife ordered a side of salmon, a separate croissant and a Buck's Fizz. I ordered the small order of Eggs Benedict with a Buck's Fizz which is champagne and orange juice. I also had an Americano coffee. The Eggs Benedict was excellent. The Hollandaise sauce was just perfect and the egg was poached perfectly. The prices somewhat high. The total cost including 15% tip and associate taxes and checkout fee was 72 pounds. We had a 2 hour layover in London, and I didn't want to board our next plane on an empty stomach. So we decided to here here. They did warn us that it would take about 20 minutes to get our food once it was ordered. We were so pleasantly surprised by the outstanding meal we had while waiting for our flight at Heathrow! We stumbled upon this gem in terminal 5 and were hungry, exhausted and had a few hours before our flight, so we stopped to get a bite to eat. From the moment we turned the corner into this bistro tucked away at the airport, we were welcomed and quickly seated by a hostess. This is already something unexpected in most airports dining! The service was attentive and excellent and our server offered some popular recommendations. It was all absolutely delicious and so well priced. The best part is that every table has charging ports for your devices so you can power up while enjoying your food. They also have a full bar. I had the butter chicken and it melted in your moth. The garlic naan was crispy and flavorful and so soft and pillowy on the inside. It created the most amazing bite. I also had a delicious gin and tonic. My daughter and I enjoyed our desserts. The service was quick umm I was bit out of sorts from the international flight so I was glad they were not chatty. The food was amazing I have mushy eggs I like them hard scrambled but these were the best scrambled eggs I have ever had. They melted in your mouth like butter! The salmon was a perfect combination with the eggs. The Americano coffee was very good not bitter, the pain au chocolat was good and the Bellini was delicious. It was perfectly spicy, especially since I usually have to order mine spicy. I maybe could've added a little more Tabasco but it was so tasty as is. I did add a little black pepper from the table. Would definitely reorder. The chips/fries were delicious and sooo crispy. These were like a 90% fried outside, 10% potato inside - just the way I like 'em. Also the mayo and ketchup they serve them with were not the cheap, processed American hellmans/heiz. The mayo was more like aioli and the ketchup was like a true tomato ketchup, not just sugary corn syrup. If you just want a preflight snack, the Bloody Mary and fries would be the move. My friend and I also split the ramen which was not ramen at all, it was just noodle soup with a lot of veggies (broccolini, cabbage, wakame, micro greens). The broth was actually quite delightful and light and tasted like a clear Japanese soup broth with a nice wakame flavor. The noodles weren't ramen noodles, the were buckwheat and while they were a bit clumped, they worked well with the broth and veggies. However, the noodle portion was very small. This would've been better with a double noodle portion, especially since we split it. We added the squeeze of lime halfway through and honestly I could've gone either way. Without the lime made it taste more like a Japanese noodle soup broth, which I quite liked as is, but the lime gave it that citrus tang which gives it freshness but also changes the flavor. Located in Heathrow airport I saw a Gordon Ramsey eatery. I went in and waited to be sat. The area inside was much larger than I imagined. Service started off started off nice but guess we got caught at the end of our servers shift so half way thru we had a different server and then we're ignored and sat around for ages to get our check. Decided on the fish and chips and butter chicken curry. They were both ok nothing special but for the price over priced as you'd imagine in an airport. Fish had a nice crisp crust and was very large the fries weren't as crispy as they should be. They had a thin batter in an attempt to be more crispy but fell short. The chicken curry wasn't anything special than what you'd find elsewhere. We were going to get dessert but they had switched shifts and our new server ignored us and we waited for a long time before asking for the dessert menu and even after we got the menu so we just decided to leave by the time she got back to us. When we finally got our check we just gave them the a credit card. After paying we noticed there were extra charges. 1 euro Gosh donation, cover charge for 2, 3 euro, and an optional 15% service charge which would be ok in the US but tipping is not the norm in Europe. The waiter was rude, mixed our order up with the table beside us but the hospitality was not warm. I understand the airport must be hectic but flyers are stressed and a nice waiter would be better. Right past security, perfect location to relax and take a breather. Food is fast and delicious, atmosphere is welcoming, peaceful, open and airy. It was nice that the waiter came by to ask for our drink orders whilst we were combobulating and learning how to use the online menu and ordering system. Service was good. read more

Food: very good. Ambiance: airport cool. Service: good but... The QR code order/payment app stinks- clunky, opaque, poorly formated for even large smart phones. Not intuitive at all. Frustrating. The explanation was to promote rapid order/pay but is, I suspect, just another way to reduce payroll costs. In the end, when the app froze at tip page, I needed an actual person to confirm the order and run my credit card. I used to come here years ago for a nice, calm coffee and toast. The servers were great as was the experience. Sad that has gone away to prop up the bottom line. I expect better from you, Chef Ramsay. read more

We visited this restaurant while waiting to head home from London. Obviously this is an airport restaurant so please don't expect the cheapest prices. It was a very clean location and we were able to relax and enjoy a meal before a flight back to California. If you are looking for a place to relax before a long journey and are willing to pay for a slightly more expensive meal I would recommend stopping here. We ordered basic breakfast food, coffee and juice and it was good. Service was excellent and paying for our tab was very easy (cashless). read more

Food was good and served quick. We ordered burgers and soup from the express menu and they delivered on time. It would be nice if they offered low-carb options. It was very warm inside the terminal as I recall, nothing the restaurant could do about that. Ambiance was a bit stuffy, like they want you to believe it's upscale, but it's inside an open area of the airport with all that hustle and bustle, and the seating area had a more casual look. They need to add a touch of relaxed niceness to their demeanor. It would help take the stress off of travel. Charging for tap water was a first, for me, anyway. read more
