Small town gas stations/stores are usually expensive and have a very limited selection. That wasn't the case here. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and huge. I love that they painted Bigfoot footprints from the door out to the restrooms. It's cute and fun. The store is awesome. They have a huge selection for being such a tiny store, and prices are really good. I love that they carry Umpqua Dairy products, milk, ice cream, and cottage cheese. If I lived closer, I'd come in for those all the time. Prices are actually really reasonable. My husband and I picked up some snacks and soda while we were there. We really didn't need anything, but I wasn't stopping to use the bathroom and not make a purchase. Employee was super welcoming and helpful. I loved that I had time to walk around the entire store to simply browse everything they had to offer, which was more than I expected them to have. But I felt welcome to do so. There was no rush, no being watched, just a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in this store. Would I return? Oh my word, yes! I've literally driven by this store a thousand times over the years and never stopped. Which kind of irritates me that I missed out on his little gem of a store.

Farmland is a great market. There are two rooms of isles with fresh and freezer cases filled with a large variety to items. They have a bit of everything a grocery store has and easier to find since it wasn't overfilled! I definitely recommend and will be back to the Farmland Market. While they may not have every item or brand you want, you should be able to find something that will work!

Our visit ended up being one of the most memorable stops of the whole trip. This neighborhood grocery story store leans into South Asian food, but with all the usual American staples. The food truck is outside, and all done by one chef. That's to say, the food is made fresh and patience is needed. Thankfully, inside that had a great selection of local and international beer so I bought a 6-pack for us to enjoy while we waited. There were also colorful characters enjoying food and drinks outside who talked with us at length. It was really pleasant to be able to wait comfortably. We stopped on our way home from a Birthday party at Putter's on highway 99 the other day. We had left over pizza, so we wanted some soda to go with the left overs. We don't keep soda stocked in the house. I was surprised the market was open because they seem to only be open on very limited hours. I don't think they are open on Sundays. I was kind of excited to stop because we had not stopped in, in a while. They usually have these cookies that I make that I have not made in a long time called hot cocoa cookies. They are chocolate crinkles cookies basically, with marshmallows on top, and a chocolate frosting. They are usually very good. We didn't get cake at the party, so I was looking forward to the cookie. Well we got it home and took a bite...it tasted as if it was days old! It was nasty! I was so pissed! I did not even take any more bites! How can they let that sit there for days like that? I make these, and know what they feel, and taste like after a week! It was foul! My guy said he has been in there and was hesitant on even grabbing the cookies because he has seen flies several at a time in food cases. That about made me want to vomit after he told me that. I hope this place picks up their standards, because I used to like to stop in. I used to like to be able to get simple pleasures that I didn't have to make at home. But now...I am not so sure.
