This year we got the usual great lineup but instead of the DIY style show in a parking lot, Professor Vic moved it to the Cathedral. Located right off Garey, The Cathedral is tough to miss. There's plenty of street parking on Center St and there's also a small parking lot across the street. This used to be a YMCA but it looks like an old church with dark wood flooring, high ceilings and stained glass windows. A very cool venue. How did it sound? Loud. Extremely loud. They also had a huge video board which gave each band a little extra hot sauce. There were a couple of bars in the back and you could also order food. It's air conditioned in there but between the heat (100+ outside at the time) and the amount of bodies inside, it was at least bearable. Mosh for Youth was great as always and while I loved the DIY ethos in the past this felt like a leap forward. The sound, look and venue made this feel big time. I hope future MFY shows take place here...until they maybe outgrow this place too, which would mean more scholarships for the kids. Highly recommended!

After months of planning, I was naturally nervous, but Bill made the whole process so much easier. He was incredibly accommodating, patient with all of my questions, and always willing to work with me to make sure every detail came together. Most importantly, he was true to his word. Everything we discussed beforehand was delivered exactly as promised, which gave me so much peace of mind. The staff was just as amazing. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care that everyone was having a great time. They kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes so I could relax and enjoy such a special evening with my family and friends. The venue itself was beautiful, clean, and created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the space, the service, and how well everything was organized. Seeing the look on my husband's face when he walked into his surprise party is a memory I'll treasure forever, and this venue played a huge part in making that moment possible. Thank you, Bill, and your incredible team, for helping create a night our family will never forget. I would recommend this venue without hesitation and would gladly host another event here in the future.

The service was extremely slow to start--we waited a while just for water and to get drink orders taken. We ordered the Ahi tuna appetizer, which was good, but the course pacing completely fell apart after that. Our salads took 25 minutes to arrive. Before I could even get the fresh ground pepper I requested, our main courses were rushed to the table while we hadn't even started our salads. The food quality was unacceptable for an upscale restaurant: Both my wife and I ordered our steaks medium-rare. Mine arrived completely leathery, dry as a bone, and thoroughly overcooked. I didn't eat a single bite of it. My wife's steak arrived medium-well, and her side of rice was completely dry. The bottle of red wine we ordered from their very small wine list was served warm. When we declined having the steak re-fired or free dessert, we finished our wine and asked for the check. The $62 inedible steak was still on the bill, so I asked to speak with the owner. When I calmly explained the issues, the owner became angry that I didn't want the steak redone and walked away mid-conversation. He eventually came back, removed the $62 steak, and told us he didn't want us back in his restaurant. To top it off, for an establishment charging fine-dining prices where guests dress up, the owner was wearing shorts and sneakers. One chance is all a restaurant gets to make a good impression. Lincoln House missed the mark completely. We will not be returning.

I've had your steak and lobster and I can't wait to try your many choices recommended dishes. I love Peter, your bartender as well as Danielle and Stephanie. Third lovely lady's name escapes me. She's a sweet gal, as well. All work so hard with joy and kindness. Thank you for having karaoke five- six days a week. I've yet to hear a band there, but I do know this... they're all wonderful and great bands that you hire. I miss comedy night again, but I know it's on my wish list. This landmark is a hidden gem. Thank you to all the karaoke/dj hosts. See you this week!

However, My main complaint is the drink pricing. Domestic beers are listed at $7.70, but the charge is rounded up to $8 without any explanation, and you don't receive change. This feels misleading (if you order a lot of drinks and notice this you will definitely stiff the servers a good tip unwittingly) It wouldn't be an issue if the beers were simply listed as $8 from the start. Clear pricing would make for a much better customer experience. Maybe management is skimping the servers??? Still a decent place.
