I've been to this location before but my recent purchase at this establishment left me disappointed and wanting to go to a different location. We ordered a large order of chicken and sides via mobile order since I was treating friends for helping me out. When we arrived at the pick up time, the store was packed and had a ton of customers waiting, around 4-5 other orders including us. It was also hot inside as I think the air conditioning was broken or there was way too many people packed into the small establishment. We arrived early and luckily had an early enough pick-up time that we waited around 10 mins for the lady at the counter to bring the food out, ~5 mins after the expected pick up time. A lot of customers were angry that day though as I noticed their pick up time said ready but their food wasn't out. There was also no one at the counter for a long amount of time as I think they were low on staff back of house. When we drove back to our location to eat (5 mins drive), we were disappointed that we were missing one of our sides of cheesing fries ($8). We were on a deadline so it would've been a waste of time to drive back and they were way too busy to call to complain so I lost out on both the food and money which I was a little upset about. The soy garlic chicken was solid and good. A nice balance of sweet and tangy. The hot and spicy wings were alright. The flavor wasn't bad but it didn't suit my tastes. These two were both a little soggy which was alright as we did take out and had a short drive but I was a little surprised as it hadn't ever happened to me before at the Temple City location and the drive was about the same. The golden chicken was personally the worst one. Although it looked crispy, the chicken skin was soggy. I wasn't a big fan of boneless chicken already but it made it taste especially bad. This was the second most disappointing part as we ordered two portions as my friend mentioned he really liked the original chicken. The rose ttebokki was one of the most surprising parts as it tasted savory and creamy. I liked the multi-layered taste of it. I do wish the establishment provided utensils as it was difficult to ask since they were so packed. Overall, the food was just alright and I personally would just stick to my own local spot near me. Not sure if it was just this day that the poor staff were overworked but it definitely affected my and many other's experience. Will not be coming back to this location any time soon. :(

That said I was pleasantly surprised with how balanced the meal was. I ordered three pockets: spicy tuna, grilled pepper salmon, and takowasa (octopus and wasabi). I will say the spicy tuna has got a kick to it! While the yubu is sweet, it's a very nice balance with the flavors from the toppings. Portion sizes are generous too, although there was more rice than toppings. Parking is plenty in this plaza. I came here on a Monday afternoon and there was no wait. My order came out within five minutes. There's a few tables inside to sit and eat as well. Would definitely come back!

Its about $5/$6 a pocket and I do think that they're pretty stacked. I got here right at opening and probably waited around 20 minutes for my food. There's so many toppings to choose from but I think my top 4 would have to be the fresh salmon, fresh ginger tuna, grilled bulgogi & fluffy egg.

I had asked for cornbread, but they told me they couldn't add it through Uber Eats, so it wasn't included. That was understandable, and I had assumed it was free because of some older menu photos on Yelp. Since I enjoyed the food, I decided to come back and order in person to avoid miscommunication. One thing I will mention is that they didn't include BBQ sauce on the side when I ordered via Uber Eats. If you're ordering a brisket sandwich, the sauce that's already on it isn't really enough. Today, I specifically asked to buy two pieces of cornbread because that was what I was really looking forward to. By the time I got home, I ate my sandwich and found a piece of hair in it. Not ideal, but mistakes happen. Then I went to get my cornbread and realized it wasn't in the bag at all. I had specifically asked for it, and I don't know whether I was charged for it because I didn't ask for a receipt since I paid by card. The workers were very friendly, and the food itself has been good except for the hair in my sandwich and today's Mac and cheese was very salt Overall my experience was pretty disappointing because again I did not get the corn bread I specifically came for and the hair in my food and the Mac and cheese was so salty I didn't even eat it. Last time I ordered the Mac and cheese was so good but not today

The chicken was tender and the broth had so much flavor. The corn bread around the pot was a great touch -- crispy on the outside and perfect for dipping. Plenty of parking in the plaza for a later Sunday night dinner. Restaurant can get quite loud and lively since it's definitely a place where you kick back some drinks and order some delicious food to go along with it. Pretty cheap beer, lots of sake and other alcoholic options too. You order through a MealKey QR code and the staff is pretty efficient in bringing the food out too. For our visit, we got the: 1) Special Mix Stew: -The serving is for 2 people but it is definitely enough to feed 3 people since we had leftovers for this. -It's a huge stew pot that they have in the middle of the table that heats up the food and they even have a timer ready to go off when the food is done cooking and ready to eat. It's super hot so be careful! -This stew comes with pork ribs, chicken feet, wings, and giblets and potatoes. -This reminds me of a Vietnamese dish with the stewed pork and potatoes, so it's a bit nostalgic. I'm not the biggest fan of chewy, cartilage inclusive meats or bone in meat, so I mostly picked at the proteins, but I had a lot of the potatoes, which were quite yummy in my opinion. Plentiful in the stew and absorbed the rich umami flavor (not too salty either). 2) BBQ Chicken Skin (10): -Not the most generous serving (at least it came with 10 skewers), but it did the job as a supplemental protein for me. -It could be a bit crispier (since it's the reason why I love getting chicken skin skewers), but at least it wasn't chewy. -Seasonings made it actually quite spicy with a kick and an after burn which is a bit surprising. Definitely needed to enhance the chicken skin. 3) Dongbei Noodles: -Thicker noodles stir fried with green beans, red chili peppers and chunks of pork. -Lots of pork stew broth at the bottom of the noodles, so make sure to scoop some out too. Comes out steaming hot. -Not a bad dish. Portions were a bit small for the price, but hit the spot for necessary carbs for the meal. -I liked the noodle textures and the flavor. Along with an order of beer, it was over $100 for this meal. I'd come back in the future, maybe with more people to try more of their menu.
