I have been wanting to try this place for a while, it looks like a lot of fun. We came on a Friday night around seven. You seat yourself, we chose a spacious seating section to the right. There's a bathroom right here so that's convenient. Unfortunately, the start of the experience wasn't great. A nice person came to take our drink order said she would be right back. Between now and then it's been 20 minutes, and 4 different staff/servers have stopped by our table to ask us if we need anything. In which we've been replying yes we would like to order. Each one of them responds the same way, ill notify your server. I don't really blame the girl though, they're pretty short staff. She's all over the place, she probably just forgot about it or didn't realize how much time was passing by. I mean, what can she do at the end of the day. It would've been nice if one of the other four people would've taken our order though. They're not just helping out as the customers, but they're also helping out there staff as well. I got to the point where we were debating about leaving, but we had already ordered our drinks. Aside from that the vibe is pretty cool. I really enjoy the music they have been playing. I live close by and never thought to try their food. My son and I were looking for some dinner and I decided to switch up our usual routine. The ambiance is great, music, games and TV's for sports. They also had karaoke and honestly it was a little loud but, whatever I got used to it. We sat at the bar and our server was great! Our server took our drink order and food order within minutes and we watched a game while waiting for our food. My son ordered the Edna Vee burger with tots and mac n cheese. He loved the burger and tots and said the mac n cheese was alright. I ordered the Cesar salad wrap with tots and I thought it was great! My only complaint was the chicken portion to salad was a little slim but, the crispy tots made up for it. The star of the show was the bread pudding! I'm not a huge fan of soggy bread but, this one was perfect. It had candied walnuts, caramel, vanilla ice cream and apples. Probably some of the best bread pudding I've had. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and there was plenty of available seating and we could seat ourselves. We took a table not too far from the DJ and so it was a bit loud for conversation forcing a bit of yelling but the music was good and a nice vibe. At first, we thought maybe the bar style food wouldn't be that good but we were wrong! Food was above my expectations but the waiters not bringing water or napkins was a bummer. We finally made it into Edna Vees. They have outside, bar, and other seating, which is good. Friendly wait staff and food and drinks. We ordered a Martini, iced tea, buffalo wings, and Pepperoni flatbread. We also ordered the Bread Pudding which was delicious!!! The food was decent and fresh. They have bands in the evenings and games (pool, pinball , Jenga,)and other games. One of the owners Susie came over and greeted us and thanked us for the review. She bought us a round! Hell yeah !! I went from never being to Edna Vees, to living there for the World Series week. The hospitality and vibe there is unmatched. They have great seats and the open layout was so nice and refreshing. The food is perfection. We did a bunch of appetizers, and on our next visit we did meals. The smash burger was amazing! I feel like I may have tried everything on their menu. What can I say? This place has everything! Great food, great people, great games, great vibe! Felt like being at home with friends. We came to watch college football and drinks. It was odd for a party that was splitting the bill and having to go to the bar trying to remember what everyone wanted to eat. Love Edna Vee's for the live bands and very lively nightlife. Recently noticed issues with cleanliness, such as used tables remains dirty for long periods of time after guests leave. The restroom are out of paper and lots of trash on the floor. Good variety of mixed drinks and beer. Although they were served a little sloppily the last time we went, as the waiter spilled the drink on the table as he served them. Since the owner is active in responding, I'd like to preface that this was MY experience and not based on "emotion" or "life". Just like any other customer, I yelp'd a place to eat for a party of 8. The ambiance is really nice! 3 garage doors fully open with open seating and a cool set up for live music and pool. More space in the back with board games. The food options are an elevated comfort food options. The drinks were well thought and crafted. Here is why I gave it a 3/5. Service service service. The waitress was very nice and helpful when she allocated time to help. It is a very busy space and they're working very fast. To be fair, our party of 8 arrived at different times, but for example, when my wife and I came, she asked us what we wanted to drink, my wife had a question and then placed her order, and the waitress put it in and then left, without asking me. So as a customer, I had to call her back to request my drink. I don't want to be those customers that flag down the wait staff and seem "difficult" so it felt uncomfortable for me to do so. But the whole night, that's how the experience was. The last 2 people came and she did the same exact thing. To the point where it became a conversation topic at the table about having to order super duper fast so you can get it in while she's there. Here's the kicker, it wasn't until AFTER we finished our food and stayed for more drinks and watching the live music our server consistently checked in with us which seems every 5-10 mins! That compelled me to really write a review because I feel like when I needed to waitress the most during my meal, it was difficult to get help. Mind you, I ordered the siracha burger which is spicy! (But very good) so it's hard to enjoy when I'm waiting long periods to get a refill or more napkins. Yes, water is self serve, but if I ordered a soft drink for $5.25, best believe I am going to maximize my purchase by drinking my soft drink. In addition to that, we ordered appetizers before entrees. Rememebr, party of 8, small table, it wasn't until after we were done with entreees, I had to suggest to remove our dirty dishes. We had apps, drinks, entrees, I feel the least that could have been done was to help us clear dirty plates to make room. I say that as I want to emphasize we were actively trying to experience as much of Edna Vee's as we could. All in all, I think a small reflection that intentionality with the wait staff goes a long way. I have no complaints about the gratuity because I generally tip 20-25%. I just feel that my experience could have been better should I have been checked on more frequently and asked if we needed anything. read more

We have sampled chicken wings which are good, crispy and spicy, their homemade chips, wedge salad with grilled chicken and funnel sticks. The wedge salad is half lettuce topped with onions, tomatoes, bleu cheese and sliced chicken breast, it's delicious and filling. Their beer selection is wide and that's a plus. My favorite cocktail was Rosemary's Baby, vodka with muddled rosemary and raspberries, and a splash of club soda--refreshing, tart and not sweet. I've been here before on the owner's birthday and everyone was so friendly and nice! Came here last night for food and drinks to the end night for a belated birthday celebration with the girls and had an amazing time. We ordered quite a bit of food, some more than once, just because it was so good. We ordered the chicken tenders, pizza flatbread, tots, patty melt, and jalapeño burger. Everything came out hot and fresh, and even with a packed house we didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks. My favorite hands down was the patty melt, anything with cheese and lots of grilled onions is going to be a winner in my rulebook. This place always has something fun going on, from trivia nights to live music, as well as lots of card games and some oversized Jenga and Connect Four, so this is a great place to come to keep your guests entertained and is great for groups. The open layout makes it easy to move about the restaurant, from the bar to the front seating area, to the back where the games are, and gives people ample opportunity to meet strangers and make new connections. He was very attentive, answered our questions about the menu & made us feel relaxed. I ordered a blue cheese bacon burger w/ sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious, burger was so juicy. The only thing I didn't like was that there was too much dressing, but next time I'll get it on the side. My partner ate their patty melt w/ house chips (which were actually nicely seasoned!) & he demolished it. I think this is my third visit to Edna's. There is bar seating as well as high and low tables, creating a very relaxed atmosphere. In the back you'll find gaming options, including board, jenga, and card games. There's an incredibly engaging and amusing piano man on Fridays who takes requests. Scan the QR codes on the table tops and you will find a variety of pub foods ranging from wings and pizza to fried calamari that is so yummy and tender on the inside but crunchy on the outside. You really must meet the amazing owners, Suzi and April, if you have the opportunity. Not only were they keeping an eye on things, but they were also getting their hands dirty and serving us. First things first: food was really good and the atmosphere was amazing. Right near downtown Covina is this modern style pub/gastropub/bar and grill (whatever the names are these days). Was looking for somewhere to go in a Weekend night that had food options (wings) and this place popped up. The environment was really fun it has a small patio, about 2 dining rooms, a lounge couch space, pool table, and tons of board games. Live music! The band was the fun part of the night and they were so good with some classics. Bar selection was fair with a good amount of Craft Beer options as well as the liquor behind the bar. Food was delicious no complaints. Wings 14$ for maybe 10 or so didn't bother to count we came hungry. The Mac and cheese were good too. Service: as we sat down service was pretty good got our beer order right away however when we were ready to order food took me walking up to the bar and asking. After that some server brought us a beer but we never asked since we were gonna order a different drink. Maybe they heard us wrong. When it came down to order the drinks we did want, well that didn't happen.. we waited to spot a server and flagging and after some time just asked for the bill. Environment fun, food good, service not sure. They do have a bar so if there's spots there suggest sitting there for fast service. Unless you have a large group then the group size tables are fine inside. Anything beyond those it looks like they may not be as attentive. Don't know if it's one of those places you just walk up to the bar and order but since we had food through a server we wanted to put it on that tab. read more
