We bought an under counter ice maker from Bridgeville Appliance (along with a Monogram range, dishwasher, beverage cooler, microwave, Monogram refrigerator/freezer, washer and dryer). When you spend thousands and thousands of dollars on appliances at a store, you would think that the business would appreciate it and try to assist you if issues arose. Not Bridgeville Appliance. We bought extended warranties from Bridgeville since they told us the extended warranty is better than the manufacturer's warranty and Bridgeville will repair them - not some other company. Ice maker broke in early August - needed a cutting grid. We called Bridgeville to get it repaired and they told us that they do not repair that brand of ice maker - when we were told at purchase that they repaired everything in house. Since they couldn't repair it, they outsourced it to another company. The warranty company that Bridgeville Appliance sold us is still investigating the claim. I was so furious at what Bridgeville Appliance sold us that I private paid over $600 to get the ice maker fixed. It is 3 months later and the warranty company is still investigating. I contacted Bridgeville Appliance and they told me it was a service issue and the owner or manager were notified. A month later and nothing from the owner. Nothing from the manager. There are a lot of companies out there that sell higher end appliances. Companies that would appreciate your business. Go to one of them. Bridgeville Appliance loved the money when they sold me the product, but did not stand behind ANYTHING. NOTHING... Go to a company that cares. Bridgeville Appliance DOES NOT. read more

When they came to install the appliances, they had a laundry list of what they won't do. They tore up brand new cabinet cutting a hole to connect the water and power. They left their mess behind. Follow up calls to get them to finish weee met with belligerent responses from the installation group. Be watchful on what installation includes and doesn't. We purchased an entire house full of appliances from Bridgeville Appliance between 2020-2022. Just want to get that out there first. Had no problems until recently, our dryer started making noises and it needed to be looked at. Called Bridgeville Appliance. Their repairman came to our house when my wife was home alone working and he spent a total of 4 minutes in the house, never looking at the dryer itself. He stated that we had a water pressure issue (which was later diagnosed with an admittedly faulty tool) . I arrived home about 15 minutes later to find the repairman sitting in his vehicle in my driveway, just so he could explain to me what he had just explained to my wife, but with the explanation that 'women don't understand this kind of stuff'. So, he didn't examine our dryer...sat in the driveway to wait for me so he could insult my wife...and charged us $129 to do so. Well done! So, we hired another service man to come analyze our dryer and had it fixed within a week. Yet, after more than 6 weeks of attempting recompense for this awful experience from Bridgeville Appliance, we have been ghosted with no sign of reimbursement forthcoming. I have to say that our purchasing experience back in 2020 and 2022 was stellar, but this experience over the past 6 weeks has been horrendous and has thus soured us on the establishment enough that now we need to write reviews. We are out $129 and I have to name names of the ghosters because they were given ample respect and due diligence to make this right. Instead, they dissed us. Thank you, Store Manager Kris and Jeff Kress for treating us like an unvalued customer (who just happened to spend THOUSANDS at Bridgeville Appliance filling up their house with a washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove dishwasher and microwave). Great customer service! They are true to their word that you can call them with any issue within the first year and they will take care of it. Five years if you've purchased their warranty. The customer service department is so helpful and the installers are great. Try calling Lowe's with an issue 6 months after install and see if anyone will help you! Definitely not. I can't give a 0-star, but I would if I could. We purchased a new high end dishwasher and were asked to send in photos of the plumbing hookups to ensure we could have it installed easily. We sent the photos and were scheduled for delivery five days later. On the morning of arrival, the install crew called and said that we would need a plumber to install a dishwasher valve and they would not do that. We had them leave the dishwasher in our garage and started the search for a plumber who could help. For five days these photos sat and waited for someone when we could have easily scheduled someone in to do the work ahead of time. When we called the sails office to complain the salesman on the phone said 'this wasn't my sale and I can't help you' We got the valve installed, called Bridgeville Appliance back and were again met with a rude response asking when we could reschedule. We were told to expect a call back within the hour. Three hours went by and no call back. I called, spoke with a salesman who told us the earliest he could do was another full week out. We were livid. Their error, our problem to fix, and then further delays. We cancelled the install team and went another way. We'll never go here again and if you don't want to deal with this type of chicanery, you shouldn't either. read more

Worst customer service ever. Took over four weeks to finish the installation all the while the appliances were taking up room sitting in my garage. They never informed me of additional installation costs and that an outside contractor was needed. Lastly, I never received a spec sheet on the wine cooler. When it arrived, it didn't fit under the counter. They wouldn't take it back without a 40% restocking fee. Dormont Appliances is the same owner. I would stay away from both. read more

We cannot be more disappointed in our recent experience with Bridgeville Appliance. We purchased a washing machine and had to pay a plumber $100 because the hot water hose didn't come off immediately for the installer. The plumber actually rolled his eyes when he saw how easily it came off, and he told me the installers were totally incompetent. When I called to discuss with Bridgeville Appliance, my name and number was taken and no one called me back. I called again several days later and asked for my salesman, who rudely informed me that he didn't remember me or my purchase ("it's a blur"), and that his installers are instructed to try once and give up if anything doesn't come apart easily. It's almost like if they expected it to fall off by itself. If I had know how easily it came off, I would have done it myself. These installers are incompetent. If you buy here, expect to have to pay extra to get your appliance installed, and expect rudeness after the sale if you call about any problem with your purchase or installation. read more

Women be careful. We had our GE washer, that we had bought at Bridgeville appliance, serviced. I (a woman) was home, alone, when the technician (a man) arrived. The tech told me what I thought the problem was without even looking at our washer. After I asked some questions, and did not get any solid answers, I gave the man a check so he could be on his way. The technician waited in the driveway for my husband. He approached my husband when he got home to tell him that he waited for him to tell him what was wrong because women don't always understand this kind of stuff. We were required to purchase our appliances through them, due to an agreement with our builder. We were not able to easily ask for the brands we wanted, but instead were directed to a limited selection. The salesperson did minimal communication; rather than speak with us to help us decide, we basically got lists via email. Of the five appliances that were installed, three have issues: two were damaged, and have yet to be replaced, and one wasn't installed properly, still not corrected. We were told we would hear from them but two weeks later, still no communication. Also, the appliances cost more than other locations. we are keeping our fingers crossed that this will work out, but not optimistic, given the past treatment received. read more

Extremely disappointed with service and support I received. I purchased an item on a Saturday via phone for an item they had on their website that wouldn't allow checkout online. I was assured after paying for it via phone the item would be shipped out within a few days. 14 days later and many phone calls and text messages, I never got a status nor received the product. Even when I contacted them on a Saturday, asked to speak to a manger, I was told basically no, you need to call on Monday between 9-5 thats another department. This was after trying for 2 weeks to get a status on the shipping. I contacted my CC company and the credit card company agreed this was absolutely insane and the credit card company, not Bridgeville Appliance quickly refunded my money. read more

Got her card but was told she would call. After waiting about a week decided to call her. She was still not in so I left a message. Another week has gone by and still no response. Update: months later we bought the refrigerator we wanted from Don's in January 2020. We bought a Kitchen-aide Frig for $4800 from Bridgeville appliance just over 3 years ago and already it broke. Though it 'under warranty', of course it is not a covered part-though it is a common part failure. I called Bridgeville Appliance and they couldn't have cared less. No empathy by the receptionist folks. It would be a month before they could "possibly come out". Of course, all our food spoiled and we had no frig for almost 2 months. We ended up having to get the part through the warranty company; a $65 part for ~$500 including the service call and labor. Our dryer broke down in the middle of COVID 19! We were totally getting the run around as far as when installation would occur until we contacted Bridgeville Appliance. Within 36 hours our dryer was purchased and installed! The installers are actually employees of BA and were prompt, capable and used all social distancing precautions. Established customer here, purchased fairly recently. Was in need a few weeks ago for a new washer. Gave the salesman the model number of the Speed Queen Washer I wanted quoted on . He seemed very anxious on the phone. NEVER CALLED ME BACK-TOTAL LACK OF COMMUNICATION EXCEPT FOR THE INTIAL CALLED THAT I THE CUSTOMER PLACED. Do not use this company for their service, because there is NONE!! Customer service is the worst. Six weeks and 3 technician later and our dishwasher is still not fixed. The 3rd technician said the first two gave a wrong diagnosis and ordered the wrong parts ( which we paid for) so he ordered another part and was to come today, but oh no the part came in damaged, how about waiting another week for it to come in? First of all why does it take weeks to get a part? How hard can it be to fix a dishwasher if this is what you do for a living? So 6wks 3 service calls wrong parts and $184.00 for nothing. In the past, I purchased my appliances at big box retailers. With my kitchen remodel, I decided to purchase better quality appliances at a locally-owned retailer. Unfortunately, my Jenn-Air refrigerator was not working correctly. Bridgeville Appliance went above-and-beyond to resolve the issue. Charmaine scheduled service appointments that fit my schedule. The technicians arrived promptly and worked quickly so that I could get to work on time. Chris worked with Jenn-Air to resolve the issue. Tony and Larry explained features and installed the refrigerator neatly and with humor (even when transferring it to the back of the house (up a hill) on a hot day). I am quite sure that I would not have received this level of service at a big box retailer. read more

Don't use this company. Their appliance technicians are not competent and their management has horrible customer service and are condescending. They sent a tech to fix my dishwasher . When he arrived he replaced a part and loaded the dishwasher , added a soap pod and rinse aid and then turned it on and left. 20 minutes later water had flooded my kitchen and went thru my floor to the first floor. The tech was dispatached and he came back, admitting on the invoice he forgot to attach the drain pipe. The manager refused to compensate my damage stating it had to have been "our fault" it flooded because we must have had dish soap in there left on some dishes as "that is all that would make it overflow". They are terrible, call someone else as I have damage to show for it! read more

I have used this company before for sales and service. as well as lots of family and friends. They repaired my new dishwasher before. I recently had a leak and thought the same problem, intake valve. when the tech arrived, I am assuming his last call of the day, 4:50 pm, when I opened the door he seemed unhappy that I was home. He looked at the problem and determined just a stuck drain plunger or something. he pushed on it and said all is fine and nothing leaking. I asked why it was leaking on the floor with no response. the hardest thing he did was get on the floor and put the cover back on as he even said...a total of 10 minutes he was there....he then said "that will be 108.90$ and now I can go home".... well I hope Bridgeville appliance will respect and treat returning customers better because I will no longer be one.... read more

Bought a new Whirlpool washer & dryer from this store. I mistakenly thought if I paid a little more for the units, they would be well worth the price. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way. The units were purchased in January 2009 WITH an extended warranty but two weeks ago my dryer stopped working. I called the store who referred me to a service that would schedule an appointment with the company who owns the extended warranty (yeah, weird i know). I scheduled the appointment, who it turns out was through A & E Factory Service. They came out, "diagnosed" the problem, "fixed" the problem & my dryer was "working" for a day. The same problem happened again. I called them back & explained that the same problem occurred again. They had no sympathy & scheduled me for another service call 10 days later. Hmmmm ..... My husband's grandfather just died, the kids are home for the summer, they are swimming everyday which means they need clean towels & suits & now clean clothes for the funeral. This sucks. I had to go to Wal-mart to buy clothes (including underwear) for the funeral because using your friends & family's dryer all the time will only go so far until they stop answering their phone. As I type this review, I'm still waiting for them to return to my house to fix my pricey dryer. Bridgeville Appliance is no help even though they sold me the units, A & E Factory service is a joke (& I'll Yelp about them later) & I've just wasted $3000 for a washer & dryer when I should've kept my Sears Kenmore units which were 13 years old. In 13 years, I only had one service call for my washer & I hope to help someone else make a decision about purchasing anything from a store who doesn't stand behind what they sell you. If you've been thinking about getting a front loading machine, don't buy one from this store & definitely consider buying a Kenmore. read more

I wanted to spend my money with a local company for a new dishwasher as opposed to a big box store so I thought I would try this place. When I walked in it was a bid odd as it smelled bad, almost like water damage or mold. Within a few seconds a sales person came up and was helpful in finding a good product. She offered a price for the dishwasher to match the big box store. I came back the next day and ordered it. I got a good price and decent service. I had them install it and was extremely pleased with the installer. He took his time, was very careful to align the dishwasher properly, test it, be clean, and was friendly to me. I was extremely happy with them on price and service and can recommend them without reservation. read more

Totally dishonest. First they refused to accept my American Express card, then they delivered my new dryer with a damaged back cover, then it stopped working after 3 uses. They sent a repair man down to fix it and he tells us it's our power source not he dryer and they the dryer was installed poorly with a kinked exhaust hose that is too long. I called the owner to get back my old dryer which it turns out is perfectly fine and he tells me it has been disposed of. Hard to believe that they would just throw away what turns out to be a perfectly good working dryer. Bottom line is the owner told me I could come down at my inconvenience and switch payment cards since what they did is against the law, I told him that was unacceptable, it should have been accepted the day I was there. He then said I'm sorry, I told him was going to file a consumer complaint with the AG about the credit card and he told me to do what I want. Never once did he try to rectify the issue in a business like manner. Very condescending, not apologetic, he just didn't give a darn that this whole issue happened. When I called to schedule a repair for my oven they were very accommodating of my work schedule. The technician came on time. He quickly diagnosed the problem but the appliance is older and the needed part no longer available so he could not complete the repair. Fortunately I have a double oven and while the top oven can't be repaired my lower oven is still operational. The technician who came was friendly and polite. I would definitely use them again for future repairs if needed. While I had no prior experience with the store I will definitely go there now as I consider options for replacing the oven. read more

I love this place and think it's the most competitively priced place in the Pittsburgh Area to buy appliances bar none. I own several rental properties and over the years I have found that they will beat any competitors pricing... big box or not with much timelier service both in the store and at the installation. Just yesterday I walked in and asked for a wall oven. I was shocked at how the price had increased since the appliance was last purchased, although the owner himself went out into his warehouse to look for something that might work for me and they found me the absolutely best price they could. Still I wanted to shop around - it was $850 for a single electric wall mounted oven. Went to Sears scratch and dent in Bridgeville and the closest they had was a damaged one for 975.00. Also went to Home Depot and they were above $1100.00 for the same unit. read more

I will NOT shop anywhere else. We made the mistake of buying WHIRLPOOL appliances from the big box store and after 2 years A&E Service was at our door. Whirlpool offered me $35.00 towards a new washer since there was a bearing problem with the 2 year old one. NO THANK YOU. I went to Bridgeville Appliance and bought a Speed-queen and could not be happier with performance the price or the service. They even removed the Whirlpool washer which was in 5 pieces in the basement after A&E could not fix it! When we remodeled the Kitchen we bought Kitchen Aid Microwave-Dishwasher-and range from Bridgeville Appliance. Great service and attention to detail. A new refrigerator is in our future and I will not go anywhere else. read more

Very, very, very disappointed in this store. Bob Basalga, my salesman was so knowledgeable about the appliances and the time he took made me want to buy from Bridgeville Appliance....WHAT A MISTAKE!!! I purchased Maytag...washer and dryer and have had issues with the dryer since installation and had six repair visits from Bridgeville AND Platinum. The dryer was $1,000 with all the bells and whistles and all those features do not work...Bridgeville and Whirlpool are not willing to replace this brand new dryer with one where all the features work. The washer already broke once and I've only had these appliances for under 4 months. The door on the washer simply locked and would not open. I've missed over a week of work to have these technicians make repairs or look at all the issues with these appliances so not only did the appliances cost me a lot of money, but it's costing me all of my vacation time and I'm getting absolutely zero cooperation. I spent $1,000 on the dryer and $1,000 on the washer...both high efficiency front loading machines and it's nothing but beautiful JUNK. These are expensive appliances and for what I spent, I should have brand new WORKING appliances but neither Whirlpoor nor Bridgeville Appliance is willing to make this right for me. We purchased a complete GE Cafe Series Appliance Package from Bridgeville Appliance Company on a recommendation from Patete Kitchen who was remodeling our kitchen. We were quite surprised how competitive they were against the Big Box Stores, so we chose Bridgeville to supply the appliances. The sales staff was courteous and helped us to decide what type of refrigerator would best fit our needs. They worked directly with Patete to supply the appliances the day that they were needed. The Delivery people are not sub-contactors, but are Bridgeville employees. They also were excellent and courteous. Unfortunately after two weeks the refrigerator developed a problem that was a manufacturer defect. Several weeks went by awaiting a backordered part that did not arrive prior to the machine losing cooling. Their Service Department responded immediately to our needs and had GE ship in a replacement unit the next day. Everyone at Bridgeville Appliance apologized for the problem and stood behind the product and service they sold. We are very happy to have found a company like this in today's business environment and highly recommend them for your appliance needs. read more
