My wife has had multiple hair appointments for K-tip extensions. At first they started out great,…read morebut as time went on and after a few appointments they became worse and worse, making her lose more of her natural hair each time. It first started with the extensions being placed to high above the ear constantly pulling her hair. Then leading to the keratin placement and amount used. They're supposed to blend in not stick out like a sore thumb. She used almost a full inch for each extension placed, with this and the amount of hair used for each extension it looked tacky and rushed. With this last round of extensions they were placed too heavily and used too much keratin to hold them. As they began falling out they were taking a LOT of her natural hair with them. This hair used to go down to under her bra line and now it barely reaches her shoulders. She took the rest of them out today and couldn't believe her eyes. I come home to her crying and hating what has happened to her hair due to the amount lost and terrible inserts of the extensions. This type of service should stay the same throughout the appointments, and customers who continuously come back should not have to deal with their hair being ruined as a result of a lack of care and hurriedness to get the appointment done. We will not be returning as this has been a downhill ride from the start. Ruining someone's hair as a result of sloppy and lazy work is terrible when hair is one of the key features that people identify themselves with. And when you tarnish that it's time to go somewhere else. As far as service goes there are no immediate complaints. The workers were pleasant and friendly.

I have no idea where to start. I came to see Brittany for hair extensions... something I have…read morewanted for years because my natural hair is so thin. First off, I was over charged for the hair. The website of the hair Brittany uses has much cheaper prices than what I paid for the hair. Second, after only two weeks of having my hair extensions in, the color stripped out of them and they turned a horrible blonde color (I'm a brunette). While Brittany did put toner in them for me free of charge, the same thing happened again two weeks later. One can only assume something is wrong with the quality of the hair I just dropped $400 on. It's important to note that I also used all of the recommended products throughout this process . Anyway, after the extensions faded the second time, I was told there was nothing more they could do for me and I would have to purchase all new hair and start over. Let me also add that Brittany charges $325 per hour for for installation, so "starting over" would be another $700 investment. This is when I decided to go to a different salon for a second opinion. And this is where things get interesting. The new salon I went to was willing to work with the hair that I already had so that I didn't need to buy new hair right away. And the new salon I'm going to only charges **$80** per row of hair for installation. I had two rows, so $160 was still a great price compared to Brittany. When I went to my new salon to have my extensions moved up, I was HORRIFIED at what they discovered. Brittany had installed my extensions SO TIGHTLY that it literally ripped my hair out of my scalp. I could not believe the amount of my hair falling to the ground as they combed through it. I lost at least half of my natural hair due to Brittany's careless installation. I literally sat in my chair at the new salon sobbing at the sight before me. My hair... just gone. I put my trust into Brittany to help me with something that made me insecure to begin with and now I'm left worse off than where I started. Something that was always my dream so quickly has become my worst nightmare. Oh, and it's important to add that I was seeing these little white hair follicles all along, but I thought it was part of the extensions themselves. It wasn't until today that I learned it was my natural hair follicles that had been yanked out of my scalp. Which means that when I went to Brittany to have to her put toner in the hair the first time, she also saw these follicles and neglected to do or say anything about them. Careless, negligent, money-oriented. That's all I have to say. If you're in the market for hair extensions, avoid Brittany at all costs. You're getting overcharged for careless service, and there are MUCH better salons in Coastal Virginia that actually care about YOU and not your money. I am so horrified at my experience and the physical damages done to my scalp/hair that I will pursue legal action.

All of the staff here were nice but the nail area was unorganized and the girl doing my nails took forever to find the color I wanted in among the polishes. Although the staff was nice there wasn't much interaction with me and I didn't feel as welcome as I normally do at other salons in the area.

It all added up in the end and it was really expensive for everything I got done there and on top of that they didn't take but cash and credit card no checks. I initially saw Karen who was sweet as can be and did a lovely job on my hair but due to schedules, she referred me to Rachelle and I have never been happier. She has the coolest style and coolest nicest hair. She colors her own hair frequently so I knew she was an expert. She gave me great advice on shampoo and conditioner etc, She colors and cuts my hair just perfect. I feel like a million bucks after she is done.
