They are worth every cent of their fee. I have never met two people that cared so much about my sons success in school. They ask all the right questions and are really good at seeing what needs to happen in order for your child to receive the services they deserve and get the help they need in the school system. This portion of our public school system is absolutely broken. If you are not trained in special education, the process of working with the schools is so foreign, you will be lost and left scratching your head. The sad fact is, if your child has or needs an IEP, you need an advocate in my opinion. My son has had an IEP for years and could have been getting help all those years, but I was unaware of what is available and due to our children with special needs. I am so thankful I came across DAS.

Is by far the best company we have worked with. The BCBAs, Social Leaders, program supervisors and therapists are exceptional! They have social groups, which is a plus! They actually follow through with what is being set up, discussed, needs to be done, etc. We feel heard during the parent meetings and valued. The therapists seem well versed and adjust the sessions to the kids needs each day. The BCBA is part of sessions, which we have never seen before unless highly needed or requested. The whole team seems to be educated for the needs of my kids, not a cookie cutter program.

My son has been seeing Cindy for the past three months and his growth in that time has been tremendous. She is thorough, detailed and keeps data on everything to help you see your child's growth and to know when new goals are needed. My favorite part about working with Cindy is how she consults with me as a parent. She helps to teach me the ways to help my son so that I can implement it between sessions. Obviously, if I'm implementing things at home with my son it will stick better than if he only gets it once or twice a week. This is a major difference between her model and some other therapists. I was extremely hesitant to leave a review because I was honestly close to filing a claim against…read morethis school over how my son was treated. After six months, I ultimately had to pull my four-year-old out because the situation was severely affecting his confidence and well-being. My son had been home with me his entire life. He had structure and routine at home, but starting TK was a completely new environment: 20+ children, two teachers, new rules, constant transitions, and expectations he had never experienced. He is a genuinely good, loving child who was struggling to adjust--not a child who deserved to be treated as though he was a problem. Unfortunately, his TK teacher, Mrs. Schreier, seemed to give up on him almost immediately. Instead of helping him gradually become comfortable in the classroom, he was pushed toward an IEP and eventually spent much of his time isolated in the learning center with a rotation of teachers. His "body breaks" could consist of simply moving from one chair to another. Recess was repeatedly restricted or taken away. When he was rarely given recess, he was closely shadowed despite never having aggressive or physical behavior toward another child. At times, even lunch and restroom access became issues, and he came home with two accidents after being unable to use the restroom. He desperately wanted to be with his classmates. The constant restrictions and isolation understandably led to more acting out. In my opinion, his behavior was a reaction to an environment where he felt controlled, excluded, and desperate to return to his peers. I worked extensively with the school and repeatedly told them I was willing to reinforce anything at home that would help him succeed. I tried to build relationships with every teacher involved in his care, including the behavior teacher, Miss Reily, the principal, Mrs. Lane, seven resource teachers, and the vice principal. Unfortunately, I often felt dismissed, and the lack of empathy and communication was extremely frustrating. There were also repeated concerns about autism that I felt were being pushed too quickly, despite not seeing the same behaviors anywhere else. Months later, teachers themselves acknowledged they were no longer seeing the signs they had previously been concerned about. That was extremely concerning to me. The experience became so stressful that I was physically and mentally overwhelmed. My son experienced two anxiety attacks when I picked him up early, including difficulty breathing, because he desperately wanted to be around his peers and teacher. I communicated this to the school, yet I did not feel his emotional or physical well-being was treated with the urgency it deserved. During this same period, my son underwent tonsil surgery to address severe sleep apnea because I wanted to eliminate anything that could be contributing to his difficulties at school. Even after surgery, I was disappointed by how little effort seemed to be made to help him feel included. When I asked whether his classmates could make him a simple get-well card, his teacher said she was not going to ask them to do so, but there was a craft table if they chose to make one. How would his classmates know he had surgery if no one told them? It was another moment where I felt my son was being treated as though he didn't belong. What has been most eye-opening is what happened after leaving. My son now attends John Adams Academy, and within TWO WEEKS I have seen an entirely different child. He is listening, comfortable, participating, enjoying school, and making tremendous progress. I was honest with his new teacher about everything we experienced. Her response was, "He may have his bad days, but I'm not giving up on him, nor am I going to leave him." That sentence alone says everything. A four-year-old entering school for the first time needs patience, encouragement, consistency, and someone willing to help him learn how to succeed in a completely new environment. Instead, I felt my son was labeled, isolated, and treated as though his struggles were simply his fault. I gave this school six months, countless conversations, cooperation at home, and every opportunity to work with us. I even spent hours sitting in my car outside the school trying everything I could to support my son and understand what was happening. I tried to be patient and understanding, but eventually I had to put my child's well-being first. I am grateful we made the decision to leave. Watching my son thrive in a new classroom has shown me that there was never something inherently wrong with my child. He needed adults who were willing to understand him, teach him, and not give up on him. I sincerely hope this school takes a hard look at how it handles children who struggle during their transition into school. They are four years old. They are still learning. They need guidance--not to feel like they are a problem that needs to be removed.

I successfully navigated Kaiser's process which is terrible if you're neurodivergent, but ultimately their Psychiatric team diagnosed me with ASD. Statement to anyone considering enrolling their child at Loomis Gateway Academy…read more As a mother of a severely dyslexic child I feel a responsibility to share with our community that the director at Loomis Gateway Academy is falsely stating she is certified in Wilson Reading System. I have verified with Wilson Reading System (WRS) that the senior director is not certified in any WRS program. As parents of dyslexic children I find It incredibly disheartening that anyone would attempt to mislead our parents. The director, Tesa Briles is trying to pass off WRS course work as being certified in Wilson. As a certified Wilson instructor (Wilson Dysleixa Practitioner) and a mother of a dyslexic child I feel it is my moral obligation to advocate for the children and support the parents. Her statements are misleading and factually untrue. Parents who are planing on attending Loomis Gateway Academy now or in the future, please know that there are no certified Wilson teachers at Loomis Gateway Academy. Tesa Briles, or any teacher at Loomis Gateway Academy does not hold a certification in the Wilson Reading Program. I couldn't believe what my oldest learned. He was the first in his K class to count to 100 and he was able to add, subtract, and multiply by the time he was in K. Our youngest has really come a long way verbally since attending preschool. Most important is the community and friendships that they have made. My oldest son's two best friends are friends that he met 3-4 years ago from preschool. Some of the families have become like second families to us while we don't see others as often it's still so fun to see each other at sporting events or out and about. I won't say that the transition to public school was smooth for my oldest son because he just wanted to go back to preschool. But I really don't see that as a bad thing. When I had questions about education for my eldest Lynn gave me the most helpful assessment of my son's educational needs that I've ever received. So while it's only a year or two of my kids life it really feels like it has had a lasting positive ripple effect and I'm so glad my kids have this important opportunity to be little.

Marisol has been Kyrie's BT since the beginning, and she has truly been the best. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and she's been so wonderful with my son. The other BTs he's worked with have also been phenomenal, everyone there is so patient, kind, and caring. His case manager, Seth, has been great with communication and always keeps us informed. Sharon, the Senior Director, has been incredibly sweet and supportive since day one. I've seen some of the older negative reviews, but I honestly feel like those may have been from before Sharon took over. Our experience has been nothing but positive. Malia at the front desk is the sweetest, and every time we're there, I see how much the entire staff truly cares about the kids. It means so much as a parent. My son has gained so much since attending this ABA, and we are beyond grateful for the whole team. I can't thank everyone enough. Please give this place a chance..they've been phenomenal! Also, we've never had any issues with scheduling. If there's any changes, they inform us way ahead of time. If my son's BT might be sick or not able to come in, there's always someone that's been able to cover.

Sessions are often cancelled unbeknownst to parents causing anguish to those of us who have jobs. You are often left to either call out from your job and or scramble for other means of care for your child. Too many unpredictable days here in this center. I have missed important meetings as a result of no-shows in this center, staff members not returning, sessions being cancelled, etc. A NIGHTMARE !!!! Someone is always cancelling and or calling out. They do not have a robust system in place at all. There are other ABA clinics in Placer county that "may" have a better system in place but again if you are a working parent and or a single working parent DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE. There's another clinic within close proximity in that same parking structure and I was told that other parents have also complained about Behavior Frontiers to the other clinic. PARENTS ARE CRYING as a result of Behavior Frontiers scheduling tactics that have left countless parents on edge. BE CAREFUL PARENTS !!!!
