I enjoy visiting Brier Creek Commons for shopping, dining and entertainment. The shopping center is…read morelocal to home for me and suits my needs for my personal shopping, dining and entertainment interests. My favorite places to visit in the Commons are: Total Wines, The Beer Garden, BJ's, Sephora, Target, TJ Maxx, European Wax Center, Dick's, Massage Envy & Bar Louie. Bar Louie makes the best martinis. The Clover is one of my favorite cocktails. I am a regular at The Commons. The plethora of shoppes and dining makes it a convenient one stop shop location. Yesterday was my second year attending the Star Spangled Block Party for the 4th of July. This is a wonderful free event for all people to enjoy. Bring a chair, participate in the festivities and people watch. My mom is 70 and enjoyed the community gathering. Despite how crowded it can get with many in attendance it is a very organized annual event that hope continues. I love to see everyone dress up and this is a safe community to gather in where all are welcome. The cons here include how busy traffic can pile up, parking is scarce on a normal day and how dated the Regal Cinemas is. This area is deserving of a luxury movie theater.

So many nice things to say about this mall…read more 1. Move theater. 2. Every shop you can think of from Michael's to Staples; Dick's to Talbot's 3. So many restaurants and great choices for ethnic food (Thai, Peruvian, sushi). 4. Ample parking throughout. 5. Great exercise if you like walking or power walking. 6. Near the airport and local hotels. 7. Close to Raleigh, Durham or Chapel Hill. It hits all the right check marks.

I usually only come to this target to get essentials/household items (deodorant, toilet paper,…read morepaper towels) when I need to stock up. I was in and out after finding my essentials without difficulty. There was no line at self checkout. I hardly even go into the store anymore because you can do pickup orders in the Target app for free. I no longer buy clothes at Target (specifically this Target because it's the closest one) because the clothing items are never organized and the selection seems poor. The rest of the areas of the store seem fine. However, if I were shopping here for clothes, I would give it 1-2 stars. The clothing section looks like it was hit by a tornado.

I stopped shopping at this Target for several reasons, and today's experience reminded me why I…read morechose not to return to the Brier Creek location. During my visit, an employee named Nagawan made me feel very uncomfortable while I was using the self-checkout. She watched my boyfriend and me very closely throughout the entire transaction, even though I was visibly scanning and paying for all of my items. While I understand that employees are responsible for monitoring the self-checkout area, the level of attention directed toward us felt excessive and singled us out. What made the experience more concerning was that I observed her interacting warmly with another customer while appearing much less suspicious of them, then immediately returning her focus to watching us. From my perspective, the difference in treatment was noticeable and left me feeling unwelcome. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect. Security measures are important, but they should be applied consistently and in a way that doesn't make customers feel targeted. I hope Target will remind its employees that professionalism, respect, and equal treatment of all customers are essential to providing a positive shopping experience.

Conveniently located for access but being so spread out that you have to cross a multi lane road to get to all they offer is a bit of a drawback for me. But mostly, I like my shopping and dining experiences here thus far. The Deets: I travel over to Parkside Town Commons shopping center once in a while, mainly to enjoy their dining and beverage offerings which there is no lack of choice there to be sure. Beyond that, they have about everything to offer for shoppers including grocery shopping, sporting goods, health and spa offerings, medical/healthcare offices, shipping centers, phone stores, pet needs, hobby shops, and even a hotel on site (see their directory provided on their website). I like that everything is fairly spread out with ample parking to match the many shops. But it's so vast that you do have to cross a very busy multi lane road to get from one half of it to the other, which I consider a bit of a drawback. They have a nice location just off of Hwy 55 at the intersection with O'Kelly Chapel Rd (the multi lane road I mentioned earlier) that is easy to access from most of western Wake and southeastern Durham counties. Parkside Town Commons is a great go-to for many shopping and dining needs, I like heading there and enjoy what they have to offer.

Brixx Pizza, Harris Teeter, Hobby Lobby, Golf Galaxy, Target, Starbucks, Hickory Tavern, SportClips, SuperCuts, Five Guys and even a Marriott Courtyard hotel. Clean lines, easy to drive and signs here and there that point to the major and minor stores if your'e lost. I liked it. [Review 11637 overall, 1418 of 2019.]
