This is a small school, which is good because you get more hands on practice on the machines. The instructor for Electrology and Laser is Ms. Petrane Reddick. She is highly knowledgable and passionate about the beauty industry. She actually wants to see her students succeed and helps each one of us by giving us one-on-one time to go over the learning material or tests if we need her to. Her calm and easy-going personality make this fast paced course go smoothly. So, this course enrolls students on a rolling basis, we have beginner and advanced level students. What I am amazed mostly about Ms. P is that she can teach the advanced students and in the same sentence she will expand on the theories and content so that beginner students can understand. I'm proud to say I was taught by Ms. P and will refer all future students wherever she teaches in her future.

She told me to wait since I was 15 minutes early for my interview and said maybe he's on his way as she looked at me up and down with snobby look on her face. Which was enough for me to have gotten my things and left at that moment. I waited 20 minutes and nothing. No sign of this guy Eduardo I believe. I might have blocked his name from my mind not sure. So since nothing was happening. I called the other location myself and asked for him. They didn't know where he was so i left a message with the receptionist from Hialeah campus. I tried calling him directly and no answer and no reply. I tried texting him and no answer and no reply. I ended up waiting around in total of 45 minutes and left. I was quite upset that I cancelled some appointments for a man that had no concept of being professional. I gave them two days to respond to me and never heard from them again. This Eduardo character never called me to apologize or to reschedule or to anything. So damn rude. And good riddance cuz I could never work for someone like that. Disgusting!!! One of the things I appreciate most about Jersey College is the way students are treated as responsible adults. Instead, they place trust in their students and give us the independence to find the study methods that work best for us. To me, that trust is incredibly meaningful. But that trust should never be mistaken for a lack of academic rigor or accountability. Jersey College expects a great deal from its students--effort, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to learning. The school also takes academic quality seriously. It's extremely hot in those small rooms full is student, we literally have small fans in the rooms, imagine doing a facial with no air conditioning plus the steamer!
