I shall be forever deeply grateful to Michael Raphael, of Zenfinity Wellness, whose work with me over the past three-plus years has had an extraordinary impact on my well-being and day-to-day functioning. An early-onset Parkinson's diagnosis left me with balance problems and extreme stiffness in my arms and legs, leading to trouble walking and a few falls. Michael's treatment began with weekly deep tissue and NeuroMuscular Realignment, which helped with the stiffness and some balance, but did little to improve walking. Given a significant weight gain, and lack of personal discipline or motivation to exercise regularly, we began to supplement our sessions with thrice-weekly personal training. Michael's understanding of muscle physiology, and his experience teaching Tai Chi (known to be beneficial to PD patients), enabled him to developed a customized program of stretching, calisthenics and Tai Chi that suited my needs and personal physical limitations. Whilst initially difficult, we began to see results in strength, agility and balance, and increased frequency of workouts to five times per week. Following nine months of this training, I've lost nearly 40 pounds and two sizes; but more importantly, I walk with significantly more confidence, little fear of falling, and virtually no shuffling. What the people are saying is true. Micheal is the best masseuse ever!! I pulled a ligament in my neck and also threw my back out a couple years ago. I planned to mention this to Michael before the massage started, but he just got right to work. Without me even saying anything, he somehow zeroed in on the areas where I needed work! He spent some time on areas where I didn't think I needed work, but they were probably affecting the areas that I needed work on, so he covered all the bases. After the massage, I felt like a new person! I was able to look both ways without feeling any pain. It was great! The massage session was more like physical therapy than a typical "massage". If you want the type of massage where you get the warm fuzzies and just fall asleep, then this is probably not for you. The massage was not painful AT ALL and his pressure was perfect, but he does a lot of stretching techniques and asks you to do some breathing exercises while he works the muscles. Me and my husband got massages for our one year anniversary. Michael came out to us for no extra charge, which was nice, we didn't have to worry about traffic. He was such a nice guy and made is feel totally at ease. Once the massage started I knew we had made the right choice. He worked out ALL of my kinks. About 1 year ago I injured my leg running a half marathon. After months of crutches, medication and physical therapy, nothing was helping and I was feeling as if I would never run again. MIchael's massage is not for the faint of heart, but it gets down to your inner core. I had a Groupon for a 90-minute session with him and got so much out of the first one I went back for a 60-minute session the next day. He's unlike any other masseur you'll find. I found a deal on Amazon Local for Michael's massage and wasn't expecting much but still wanted to give my sore muscles a little TLC. I have chronic injuries in my pubic bone and pelvis which can make my lower back act crazy but I'm almost used to it. I've seen every type of specialist out there and still nothing has made me feel as WONDERFUL as a single session with Michael did. I felt like a newborn child afterwards. Not only did my muscles and joints feel great, but I felt a beautiful mental calmness and clarity afterwards as well. My son had a major surgery that caused extensive nerve damage in his head and ear. He has been having neck pain that was so painful he was having a difficult time turning his head. I was looking for someone to give a good massage, and checked out many cites on the internet, reading their reviews. I saw the reviews for Michael and decided to give him a try. I bought Michael's massage as a birthday gift for my husband, and decided that I would also get a massage from Michael that same day; my husband and I were in for a treat: The massage was so good that I couldn't even pay the discounted rate for 1st timers...I felt too good and too guilty. :) Hands down, my husband and I agree that Michael (at Zenfinity) gave the BEST massage ever!!! He took his time and worked out every knot, every kink, every pain, every everything! He made me take/practice deep/correct breathing techniques, which amazingly reduced the level of pain I anticipated and tightness/tension throughout my body (especially in my neck, shoulders and upper back areas), as he performed a 90-minute deep tissue massage on me. I'm already looking forward to my next session! That was my first thought the morning after my first massage with Michael. I read the reviews of Michael's technique and approach to massage therapy and intuited it would be for me. His sessions (at least the kind I requested) are therapeutic and you need to be an active participant in order to reap all of the benefits. Breathing deeply, and focusing on the area he's working, is key. This is not a passive experience. You will not fall asleep during a massage with Michael. And I choose my words carefully when I write a 'massage with Michael,' instead of a 'massage from Michael' because - again - you are working *with* him to release the tension, toxins, and knots from your body. I am an athlete and a classical singer, and his session was simultaneously intense and sensitive. My experience was like a wonderful combination of Thai Massage, Sports Massage/Stretching, Rolphing, and guided meditation. Thank you, Michael. read more

Amazing! Had a very intense deep tissue massage with Michael. You can tell that massage is his true calling, he goes 100% into it and is completely dedicated to give you a thorough massage and to relieve any pain or tensions. He gives instructions to guide you through the session, to really loosen up those knots. If you prefer a strong and thorough massage, rather than a relaxing but bland massage that doesn't give results, this is for you. read more

This is not only the worst massage I have gotten in my life, Michael actually damaged my neck in the process. My girlfriend gave me a 90 minute session for my birthday. To start off, he admitted that his technique is quite intense, which throughout the process he repeats about 300 times (absorb the pain, let the fingers melt through your muscles), which is sometimes hard to do because of the pain. Mind you, I have had maybe 100 massages prior to this one and have always been into extreme sports, so pain is nothing new to me. At the 90 minute mark, he tells me that he did not get to complete the massage (not my fault) and that he suggests another half hour. I find this to be unprofessional and a way to get extra revenue, but fine, at that point I may as well since he literally hadn't massaged all areas. The following day my neck started cracking like popcorn. I had a headache but no neck/back pain. I started texting with Michael and his first response was that "it's likely I had an injury prior but my neck was too tense for me to notice it"...really?! Well perhaps that was a good thing! Thank you Michael for loosening up my muscles to bring previous injuries out! How absolutely ridiculous is that? My neck had never, ever cracked not once in my life. He then suggested icing, to sleep without pillow and a chiropractor. I have every text recorded as proof and he didn't seem to care I had developed a crack on my neck which I can only imagine is scar tissue from the extreme stretching he did to my neck. He offered a refund (I hadn't even asked for one at that point) so I said yes and reminded him that I paid him directly for the extra time over the 90 minutes plus the tip I left him. He ended up dropping off a check for only the original time purchased (so, about $60 short of what we gave him) and never contacted me back. Now almost 2 months later my neck still pops every single time I turn my head left and sometimes while laying down it's worse. I have finally time to get x-rays and therapeutic help but I urge everyone NOT to use him unless you want to risk injury. Again, I have all communication with him on record and done in a timely manner. Perhaps I should post links to screenshots of it. read more

I happen to have mother who is a professional masseuse in my home country, one of the best as a matter of a fact, has her own beauty salon. With that said, I am very well educated when it comes to a massage. As much as that has been a blessing it has been a curse too. Buyer Beware!!!! I HAD TO STOP THIS GUY, DON'T BELIEVE THE FIVE STAR REVIEWS THEY ARE BOGUS AND PROBABLY WRITTEN BY FRIENDS! You get what you pay for. This guy is a unprofessional weirdo and does not care about the client. Before my massage he asked me to stand up and hold my arms out so he could check my balance and I obliged, however while I was holding out my arms, he pulled my dressed close to my body to see my silhouette. At first I thought nothing of this but his gestures became more uncomfortable. While I laying down on the table, the first place he touched was below my navel area and then he pulled one of my legs from underneath the cover and hung it over the side of the table (what happen to proper coverage). He sat down above my head and put his hands on the front of my neck and throat area which is a vulnerable area that contains the carotid artery and major nerves. His hands where cold and dry. While doing this he said "I noticed the toys on your bathtub do you have a boy or girl". At this point I had enough of this guy, why is he inspecting my bathroom and talking to me during a massage which is suppose to be a time for relaxation. I told him to stop and got up off the table. If I could give zero I would. This guy said he has two licenses in Texas and Miami, and has been doing massages for about six years professionally. I was surprised of his price of $39.60 on his Zenfinity website and free travel to your house. I thought to myself, "why is he so cheap" however, I read the reviews and brought a one hour massage. I called him to schedule an appointment and was told he did not have a place to do the massage so he would have to come to my house at no additional charge. On his website he claim to use a room at Educating Hands School of Massage. I have gotten massages at the schools student clinic for year at $35.00 and they are better than this guy! After reading your reply, it is obvious that you are defensive and too into your own agenda to even connect with what a client may need. It does state on your website that you use different massage techniques depending what the client is comfortable with. Well I am telling you that I was uncomfortable with what you were doing!!! It had nothing to do with you coming to my house! Swedish Massage is listed as one of the techniques on your website but you said "I am not good with Swedish Massage" so why is it listed? yeah yeah yeah you charge $72. with a 45% discount, as I stated before, I wonder why. read more
