This pass Saturday it happened and I knew I had to find someone that could really help me with this issue. I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Phil, he took his time to help me get on the table, listen to my all of my concerns and addressed all the issues with my back along with other areas. I have never been worked on like that before when I had one of these back episodes in the past. He knew exactly when to apply pressure and when to lighten up. Throughout the whole process he would check in with me to make sure I was getting relief. When I tell you I was in complete shock at how much he minimized my pain afterwards I wanted to cry! This man knows what he is doing and really listens to his clients. I've only had 2 sessions with him so far and my back is a million times better just after that first session. I have tried physical therapy and other places to help keep this at bay and nothing has worked this quick and provided so much relief. I found him on Yelp and went to his website late Sunday night and saw he had an 8 am appointment available for the next morning. I wasn't sure if I booked if he'd actually get a notification and know I was coming so I texted him on the number listed here around 7:30 and he told me come on in. He was also nice enough to accommodate me at 8:30 even though he only offers massage from 8-9 on Monday mornings. When I arrived he asked me what issues I was having and what I was looking for and then got to work. I've never had a deep tissue/sports massage before so I wasn't sure what to expect but it was in many ways like a regular spa massage. You know, get naked (or undress to your comfort level) and lay on the massage table. His was heated which was a nice touch. Like others mentioned he was great about checking in with me during and asking if I was ok or needed more/less pressure etc. I found he was able to immediately hone in on the sore spots in my neck and shoulders and used just the right amount of pressure. I was looking for a strong touch and got it. Very happy with the massage and the pricing was more than reasonable. The student refused to do what the educator said and was short with me on multiple occasions though I had never met her. Despite me then asking nicely to respectfully please do as we agreed on with the educator, she refused. I asked to speak to the educator again if we can discuss this. It was the fifth time this had come up but she kept pushing it off and was upset she had to do it at the end and learn the technique. The haircut itself was exceptionally slow and took like 2.5H. What in the world?! Their quality has gone down terribly and they don't care whatsoever for their customers.

I paid $153 for a 75-minute massage that was advertised to include deep tissue work, hot stones, three aromatherapy blends, therapeutic stretching, an ice globe facial treatment, and a relaxing scalp and foot massage. Instead, I received about 60 minutes of someone rubbing large amounts of oil across my back. There was very little technique, no real attention to the areas I requested, and none of the relaxing flow or pressure I expect from a professional massage. It was actually uncomfortable at times, and I found myself just waiting for it to end. I don't know if this was due to a lack of experience or a lack of care, but the service I received did not match what was advertised or what I paid for. It felt like money wasted.
