Still the best ice cream in Lakeland. Went here for dessert for our anniversary dinner.

Adorable ice cream shop with clearly defined Vegan and Gluten Free products! They have a small parking lot behind back and plenty of indoor / outdoor seating. My daughter really enjoys the milk shakes while my son loves the vegan scoops!

Lakeland's newest ice cream spot does not disappoint! I have been to a Bright Ice location in Tampa so I was excited when I heard they were coming to Lakeland. This is located at the very edge of Dixieland across the street from Cob & Pen, and now next door to By the Chef pizza and a wine garden. So it's a pretty great spot with a lot of stuff to walk to nearby. I love the theme here too- Bright Ice is BRIGHT and vibrant; and it feels more like an old school ice cream shop with the big sphere lights and burnt orange & yellow primary colors, and wood furnishing. Their ice creams are wonderful, I think they're handmade in house? Or at least that's how they taste, there's no way it's manufactured scream because it's too good. And they have atypical flavors which I always appreciate because it's fun to try unique ice creams and not just have the same flavors you see at every shop. But along with ice cream, they do serve coffee here as well. Better yet, you can add a shot of espresso to your shake or get an affogato and have the best of both worlds. I will be back to try one or both for sure. Parking is behind the building but could get difficult as it's shared with the pizza place & wine garden and isn't real big to begin with. They have limited seating and there is some outdoor seating, but with the wine garden next door now too I think it'll be a good place to sit out and enjoy. Definitely a great addition to the area.

Oat of this World + Roasted Strawberries with Brown Sugar and Balsamic

We stopped in after dinner next door and we're so glad we did! The employees were extremely friendly and allowed us to sample a few items. Ended up choosing Oat of this World and Roasted Strawberries with Brown Sugar and Balsamic. This was some of the creamiest, most flavorful ice cream! If you've had Chill Bros in Tampa, I'd put Bright Ice on par with them. The flavor selection and portion size were top notch especially for the value. There's some cozy seating inside and a nice patio out front, too, which we enjoyed. Highly recommend!

Ice cream is fresh, creamy, tasty and smooth. All made in house and they even have non-dairy options! Staff was friendly, attentive and quick. Great decor w/ inside and outdoor seating options

I had a great first experience, once inside, with their dedicated & well-versed employees. I enjoyed my affogato with coffee ice cream and the flowers on their beautiful front patio overlooking S Fl Av. I'll look forward to getting back to try the coffee drinks and shakes. Love that they make their own ice cream (in the Tampa store). Unfortunately parking will be the "beef" for the location. The parking lot is not "well made" and my van def bottomed out on the way in and out of the space. That being said, until I discover or luck into better parking for my vehicle I'm not likely to return.

    Peach Crisp

Stumbled across this ice cream shop heading to the dry cleaners. We stopped in and immediately noticed the flavors were unique and different. I got the peach crisp. It tasted just like peach cobbler! My husband got a scoop of blueberry and cinnamon and a scoop of espresso with kahlua. Those were amazing as well. Cant wait to come back and try more flavors

They have such unique flavor combinations that you don't find at your average coffee shop. I ordered the jalapeño popper sausage biscuit, and it was incredible. The sauce and pickled red onions took it to the next level and made every bite so flavorful. The coffee is solid, and the café is in a great downtown location that's perfect for starting your morning or taking a break while exploring the area. If you're looking for a one-stop shop for both breakfast and coffee, look no further. We absolutely love this place and will keep coming back whenever we're in town.

The vibe is awesome with brick walls, tasteful decor, and pleasant music, and just what I look for in a local coffee shop. Prices are fairly reasonable with many drink and food options. Although there was a bit of line when I visited, it moved quickly and staff was efficient in getting ordered items out to guests. I went with a white mocha frappe (5/5), asking for it to be made less sweet. It's not something I ordinarily see on the menu at local coffee shops, so was delighted at how good it was, with just the right amount of sweetness to it. It's shame that there's nothing like it at coffee shops close to where I live, as it's something that'd be in my regular rotation of caffeinated drinks I'd order. As my friends and I enjoyed our experience here, I'd definitely return to Black & Brew, and would recommend them to others looking for a quality coffee shop in Lakeland.

If you can find a way to get here though you absolutely should. I've been here a couple times and had people bring me things from here and I'm always very happy. My favorite thing I ever had here was a chocolate peanut butter pie, which was mind blowingly good. However, everything I've had from here has been pretty spectacular. I highly recommend the cookies here. I really love cookies, but their brown butter cookie is incredible. The pastries are really good too. I really enjoy the glazed croissant and I recently had a lemon twist that was very good. Finally, the sandwiches that I've had from here are both really good as well. I've only had the breakfast sandwiches, but I enjoyed the hot honey sausage biscuit and the bacon breakfast sandwich. 5 stars.

We weren't sure we should eat in our car or the bake shop, but are very glad we decided to eat in the shop. The sandwiches were the most messy sandwiches we have ever eaten. There was so much mayonnaise tasting sauce. The crust was too hard to eat, but the bread itself was great. The sandwiches aren't cut, which made eating even more difficult as it was near impossible to bite through the crust. We ended up with a pile of soup/sauce on the napkins we had to put on the table under where we were eating. No plates are available. If I ordered a sandwich again, I would ask for minimal or no sauce. The cruffin was great, but again, very messy to eat. Ordering is at the counter (or online) and when the screen is flipped around, the screen shows a suggested tip over 20%. This is before even receiving your food. I couldn't find the no tip option and chose the lowest amount which was 15% or more. My total was over $40. If I stopped by again, I may buy a loaf to go and a chocolate croissant (to enjoy at home).
