One employee named Fernando was especially helpful, polite, and professional while assisting me with my items. When he noticed there were about 3 customers waiting in line, he immediately opened another register to help everyone faster. When I paid, my reward paper slip didn't print, but Fernando kindly explained that there was a computer issue. He apologized and even offered to add the points directly to my card instead. She's mainly there in the morning and she always has a nice convo with everyone. I go there early in the morning and it's very clean and stocked. It's just not your typical Walmart. Besides Susan and the morning staff I go there because they are the only place I can find a certain Alani protein coffee. They order 2 flavors Vanilla and maple Donut. There used to be 3, but the other was Cappuccino and wasn't that great! I was buying 20 of each flavor one day and the Dept Manager said, "you are the one that buys us out!" He was so friendly and said he would continue to order them. I was very grateful. The coffee is 12oz. 90 cal, 7 net carbs, 6g sugar, 10g protein. I actually mix it with my iced coffee I make at home in my machine and it's a third of the cost than buying it out. They cost $1.99!

Walk-in prescriptions are filled in minutes, and when your prescription expires they follow up with your doctor for immediate prescription renewal by fax. They also accept my crummy HMO insurance! The business is Korean owned, but everyone speaks English well. After a few visits they learned my name and family members, and have reminded me on occasion to refill my daughter's prescription when I forgot. I'm glad to support a local business like this, where I can get good service and good prices, without the hassles and long lines of a big chain store.

The Rite Aid transformation happened whenever it happened, and despite that, this Rite Aid seemed less like a drugstore and more like a large convenience store or small general store. Of course, most Walgreenses and CVSes feel like that now, but this was back in the day, and it was a little bit surprising. I've bought replacement Christmas-light bulbs here more often than I'd like to mention. (Our family continued using the old large incandescent bulbs long after everyone else had switched to faux icicle strings and early LEDs, and Rite Aid was the only place we could find the colored bulbs in the right size.) I've also bought a rake, dill (on sale--for some reason they often have sales on spices), water balloons, water guns, super bouncy balls, and all kinds of candy from here. The store looks like a supermarket without the produce. It's been years since I've come for the original ice-cream experience, although I did buy a half-gallon of Thrifty ice cream from the freezer in 2020, at the height of the pandemic. There never seem to be enough employees working, and the ones who are working tend to take their time. They're friendly enough, and just based on the strange questions and customer behavior I've seen here, I don't think this is the most enjoyable place to work. Did I mention the candy? Like most places these days, they have a really wide selection, especially of the largest sizes. But if you come immediately after Halloween, you'll be amazed at just how badly they want to get this candy off their shelves. The deals feel almost criminal, like you're buying stolen merchandise.

We walked in the store, it was busy, people browsing in the aisles and waiting to get their medications. I wasn't intending on getting a vaccine but my co-parent was there to get hers. While processing the first shot, the pharmacist asked if I wanted to join in the fun, haha. I said might as well if I was considering that it'll probably be done. This shot did pinch when it was injected and I knew it was going to give me a sore arm. Confirmed, my arm/shoulder was sore at the injection site later in the evening and also the following morning.

Luckily, they had the medication I was looking for, and I had a nice chat with the checker. They'll be closing in a few months, and this location will be the last of Rite Aid's to close. With all the mergers over the years, I'm not sure if this one was always called Rite Aid. Where I grew up, they were called PayLess Drugs and didn't have Thrifty Ice Cream, which I miss.
