During this uncertain times in the world during a pandemic, Bright Smile Family Dentistry came through with flying colors! I broke a molar in half, pain, panicking, and wondering what to do since many dentist offices are closed. I called the after hours emergency number, and within an hour I was on my way to get taken care of. Dr. Benbajja and his dental assistant were extremely patient and kind! They took extra precautions recommended by the CDC, went over options, and cost. We decided a tooth extraction was the most cost effective and smartest route. I signed paperwork, received numbing shots (which barely hurt!), gas, and the tooth extracted. All within an HOUR. I am terrified when going to the dentist, they kept a calm composure and reassured me everything would be fine. They were right. I felt NO pain! I just felt pressure and relief of the tooth gone. I was sent home with prescription and medication from the office. I would recommend this office to anyone! Thank you again for saving the day! read more

Every person that works here is dishonest. Do not go here under any circumstance if you are in pain. The owner will use that to take advantage if possible. If you do go here, do not allow them in your mouth until you get a detailed estimate in written form (definitely my error), otherwise your bill is a moving target. I was getting a previous crown repaired, root canal and then a bridge. The temporary crown he put in fell out the next day. My gum was messed up because it was loose and hitting it. I could not tell when I left because the side of my face was numb. I had real issues opening my mouth afterward. Nothing seemed wrong with the teeth or gum line, it was my jaw area where the shots had been. It has been over 3 weeks and I can't fully open my mouth but it's not as bad as it was. I was supposed to go in tomorrow at 10 am to get my crown put on and be done. He called today to say I owe more money. He told me verbally what things would cost my first day. I have paid him $2k out of my pocket and my insurance has also paid. They are liars. Even if you want to give them the benefit of the doubt, bringing this up after 3 weeks, the day before the appointment, is pretty sorry business....or it's on purpose. Things that happened the two times I have been in the office: The main Dr. took a phone call while working in my mouth, stopped and talked to his daughter I assume, about what to get at Wal Mart. One of the assistants said to a different Dr., while he was in my mouth doing a root canal, that the place gave her anxiety and she hated coming here, during the same conversation that same Dr. complained about the other one "getting himself into these situations" because he starts procedures he can't finish. I was experiencing severe pain around a tooth that was progressing throughout the day so I called an emergency number to get an after hours dentist, and received a call from this place. It took a long time to get a call back but finally received text stating that it was a $165 charge for after hours including X-rays. I was fine with that so I went to meet them at their office. Did all the paperwork and paid the $165 up front. The assistant took a radiograph of the area that was bothering me, then I waited for a few minuets for the dentist to some in. The whole process was a little strange and awkward to me. I was sitting in a chair facing a wall, in a way you couldn't see anything they were doing, or even look them at them whiteout getting up out of the chair and turning around. It was very uncomfortable. When the dentist came in he said (from behind me) "there is a mess going on in there, it's going to be $2,000 today to get started, and you'll have to come back for 4 additional visits. I was super confused, as he had not done a physical exam or even looked at my mouth. I asked him "how do you know that is the tooth causing the pain if you haven't even looked at my mouth." He said "I don't need to look at It I can see what I need to right here". I told him I didn't feel comfortable having such an extensive procedure done without a physical exam and more investigation of the cause of the pain than a single radiograph. He then proceeded to accuse me of drug seeking stating "we aren't going to prescribe you any narcotics here. If you don't want to spend any money I can give you a script for antibiotics and Motrin". I told him I just wanted to leave because I was super uncomfortable at this point. I felt like I was being held hostage until I would commit to an extensive procedure. I would never come back here, and highly suggest going elsewhere, especially after hours. Very unprofessional and just looking to get quick money grabs after hours. read more

I realized that I was in need of a molar extraction at 5pm on a Wednesday and the pain was off the charts terrible. I called this dental office, and the doctor told me to come right over.......music to my ears!!! He got my tooth out an hour later, and right away I felt 100% percent better. As of the next day - I feel great, and ready to get back to work. This dentist was a godsend for me. I will go back to him for some cosmetic procedures I need. read more

Went in for an emergency extraction, tooth was very infected. Dentist proceed to try to yank it out without effective anesthesia, i.e. I could feel everything. Since this experience, I have learned a little bit about the effects of novacaine on infected tissue; in a nutshell novacaine does very little to reduce feeling on infected tissue. Apparently this dentist missed class the day this was taught at whatever 2nd rate institution gave him a certificate. So, as I lay there screaming like a civil war casualty in the amputation tent, the dentist is criticising me for not shutting up and taking it, as he tugs and pulls at my completely non-anesthetized tooth. Eventually I got up and went to the ER instead, as the dentist continued to berate me. This was the most unprofessional dentist I have ever encountered and generally the strangest medical experience I've ever had - something you could expect to see in a third world country; it's a wonder this place hasn't been shut down. read more

We've come to this office for years. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The Dentist's are knowledgeable and trustworthy. They don't try to push unnecessary procedures on you like other places I have gone to. Some Dentist's Offices are like walking into a used car lot... Not this place! My kids even like coming here. We trust this place so much we travel 30 minutes one way just to see Dr. B and Dr. J. If you need any dental work done or just a cleaning... Bright Smile is the place to be. read more

So I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled on Labor Day... I know this is late, but the doctor was AMAZING!!!! Yes he did charge me a extra fee. But if you are truly having a dentist emergency sometimes you have to pay a little extra. I went in and got some x rays, they said my wisdom tooth broke into 3 pieces and that is where is pain in coming from. He pulled the tooth, gave me antibiotics and instructions, and I went home with no problems at all. Of course I had some pain for the 5 days but I went to work with no problem the very next day. read more

Last seen on 1/29/19: Negative opinion of the Bright Smile dentist on 33rd Street. He checked my gums & said my problem was my partial & recommended that I get a bridge to replace it. I have worn the partial for over 4 years & if it were the cause of gum irritation/absess, I think it would have happened long before now. Then 'dentist' said I needed filling on my lower teeth redone. Guess what! I have never had fillings on the teeth he was referring to. He claimed the fillings were below the gum line. I think I would know if I had ever had multiple fillings on my lower teeth... especially under the gum line. Thirdly, I had a crown done by same dentist in February & am now being told I need a root canal on that same tooth. It has not caused me any pain, so why do I need a root canal for $1100.00. As I was preparing to leave, the 'dentist' said if I would bring him $750 cash he would do the root canal for me. Hmmm That sounds a lot fishy to me... how about you?? WARNING: They are a dishonest scam. Every time I go, they insist that I need a deep cleaning which they charge me $300.00. 2 years ago, they said it was because I didn't floss. So I got more diligent about flossing. Six months later they told me I needed the deep cleaning again. I was frustrated, but agreed. Six months later, they wanted me to do another deep cleaning. I objected and said that I had been flossing everyday and I don't understand why I needed to do the deep cleaning. They claimed that they never said anything about flossing and said the only way to avoid the deep cleaning is to come every three months. I commented, so you'll end up getting $300 from me either way. I spoke with a dentist friend of mine who knew exactly which dentist I was talking about without me even mentioning the dentist's name. He also explained that there was no need in all those deep cleaning. He joked that they saw your Mercedes in the parking lot and made your dental plan then. He sent me to another dentist that I should try for another opinion. Sure enough, the new dentist said that there was no need in all those deep cleanings. As the footnote, one of the main guys at Bright Smiles isn't a dentist or dental hygienist or dental assistant. He's the dentist's brother or close relative. He wears scrubs and leads you to believe he is a dental professional. He doesn't do any dental work, but he is the primary catalyst for everything that takes place with your appointment. read more

This place is a Godsend! Can't say enough good things about this practice! We needed emergency dental service, they came right away on a Saturday evening and got my hubby all fixed up! Dr. B. was soooo kind, compassionate and nice for being called in on a Saturday, and his skills are impeccable! Hubby had what was a horrible root/jaw infection fixed, the tooth was extracted after he explained all our options, and we were out within an hour! I truly think we will change dentists to this office! We were truly impressed, and they take Care Credit on top of all that! Wonderful!!! read more

I went tonight to get an emergency extraction tooth already cracked. Told him im hard to numb and also had brain surgery a month ago so be gentle. He gives me 2 shots tell him im not numb i can feel it so he gives me 3 more. I still am not numb and he says he cant just keep putting more in and without saying anything he goes to pull the tooth and i start screaming because i can feel everything he tells me i need to be quiet he cant continue with me screaming told him im not numb can feel everything. He contionues to keep pulling now the tooth is halfway out so i cant just leave. He was horrible do not go there! He has no compassion. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. Worst dentist experience I have ever had. The people working here seem to act like they have no idea what they are doing. I had to switch over to a new dentist office along with my family and two of my family members had a terrible experience here also. I had a filling fall out a while ago and was due for my cleaning, so I set up an appointment to fix the filling and get my teeth cleaned. They had me pay a ridiculous amount of money and didn't even replace my filling nor did they do my routinely cleaning. They even left this hard glue like substance sit on the side of my tooth and it won't come off. Needless to say I still have a very over sensitive tooth missing a filling, teeth that should've been cleaned, and something glued to the side of my tooth. I had a significant dental emergency on Christmas Day. Christmas Day, people! Opening presents has never been so dentally damaging in this. Thank goodness these kind folks were willing to come in. I called their off-hours number and within minutes received a text with their information and an appointment to come in. They took care of my situation in just 45 minutes. Just left this place. I don't have insurance but saw they had a cleaning special for 69.00. I noticed right away this place is not very clean. The cleaning was a joke. Just like the other reviewer they didn't use any tools to clean other then the waterpik that they just moved around with zero precision. Literally soaked my face. I could have done a better cleaning with a toothpick. I need a root canal and the dentist was super pushy about it. They do it for cheaper then most but I can't imagine what you would end up with if the cleaning was this ridiculous. The dentist gave me a prescription for pain pills just in case i wanted to have the root canal done there. Can't believe they just hand those out. Sad. Very dangerous as well. I'll be scheduling another cleaning with another dentist today. read more

I just have to give a "shout out" to this place. I have been to many dentists in my time and I have to say that these people get my top rating! They are VERY accommodating, knowledgeable, do great work and don't try to sell you a bunch of procedures you don't need. I've used both Dr. J and Dr. B and been extremely happy with both of them and the work they do. They are kind, thorough and do a great job. I leave feeling that their primary concern is my dental health & well being rather than them selling a lot of procedures that make them a lot more money. Sidebar here: if you have insurance and go to a dentist & and they tell you that you are going to be out of pocket with $$$ work done, be sure and get a second opinion from Bright Smile! You might find that they have lower prices and work with your insurance better! If you don't have insurance, be sure and check their no insurance rates. You owe it to yourself to check around and not just accept everything another dentist tells you. As an added bonus, the facility is beautiful and clean and very easy to get to no matter where you live within the OKC metro area. read more

First there should be provision for negative stars for the review of a business. I would like to give negative stars to this bright smile clinic. I took appointment with the clinic as they were quick to schedule me. Over the telephone they told me that they would charge me 89 for the cleaning and the x-rays and examination. After x-rays Dr.jarjoura informed me that I would have to pay approx. 700 dollars for the deep cleaning which was at a discounted rate as I did not have the insurance. it is a scam to fool people. go there only at your own risk.is there no law to control these scamsters. read more

I was told by the assistant several times that "we don't have time for that here". The office does not have a dental assistant and the dentist was very impersonal. Im not sure he looked at my xrays. Dr. Jarjoura and his staff have helped me greatly with incorrect work that was done by another dentist that was all done incorrectly. At the time, I was not insured and they worked with me on the costs so that I could afford to have the work done and not loose my molars. The sonic cleaning, is messy and loud, but it is very fast and much better than hand scaling. read more

I sit here and read all of these reviews and they are the total opposite of what we had experienced. The dentist did not wear a mask, the dental assistants only took out the dirty instruments and did not clean the room. Crown was broken had to go back and get it redone still a sloppy job!!! Joe dropped the suction tip on the floor picked it up with his gloves and with same gloves reached into the drawer with the clean suction tips and contaminated them. I recommend no one go here!!! NOTHING TO SMILE ABOUT: SCAM AND SHAM I was extremely unsatisfied with their teeth cleaning techniques and service! I will never go back again! I waited in the dental chair for over 1 hour for the dentist. The dentist never used any instruments to take plaque or tartar off of my teeth. He only used a high pressured waterpik type device for about 1 1/2 minutes. I was soaked and shocked regarding this technique. In the past, a good teeth cleaning would take about 45 minutes. I felt like I had just come out of a car wash. This experience has to be the closest thing to "waterboarding". My teeth did not feel clean after this episode, and I complained to no avail. This company is not very good at all. They cannot communicate very well and they will tell you one price before you get there and have a different total before you go under the knife. The dentists are rude. I would have switched a long time ago if I didn't have to pay for initial xrays and exam fees for a new dentist office. DO NOT GO TO THE HORRIBLE PLACE!!!! Took my daughter to get a tooth pulled after hours she was in terrible pain. I informed the dentist that she just had brain surgery a month ago and that she has trigeminal neuralgia and that it takes longer for her to get numb. From the time he gave her her first shot until he started pulling was only maybe 5 min. which was not enough time for her or anyone to get numb and she told him I'm not numb I can still feel it he told her no it's just pressure. My daughter is screaming and yelling that she felt EVERYTHING and he still didn't stop to numb her more all he said was stop yelling and if you pass out I can't finish this. He finally got the tooth out and my daughter who is 25 is traumatized she was shaking so bad she could bearly sign the paperwork. This place needs to be shut down! I can promise you if this had been during the day when other patients had been there this wouldn't have happened. I'll be calling the Oklahoma dental board he needs to lose his license. read more

I went here two months ago for a routine cleaning before I moved. They told me an impacted wisdom tooth needed to be extracted then and there. They put me under laughing gas and then the dentist carried on a conversation with his assistant about whats for lunch WHILE EXTRACTING MY TOOTH! I was too high to ask him to please pay attention! They gave me quick instructions on care afterwards (no written instructions) and then sent me on my way. I drove home in tears. Part of my cheek was stitched to my face so I had to go back. Later, the stitch fell out, I called, they said I would be fine. 2 months later? I still have a hole in my gum. I've had teeth extracted before when I was a teenager and didn't have any issues. I have been going to this dental office for years and years! Very good place - beautiful facility, several dentists, hygienists, and they have a lab on sight where they can do a crown in one day! (So much better than having to wait 6 weeks or more to finish the process!) I rarely have to wait more than 10 minutes when I arrive for my appointment. They are great to work with or without insurance and give you the best price possible. Never have had a problem with them trying to "sell me" on dental work that's not needed as some places do. Total NIGHTMARE. They deserve no stars. I was in such pain like a horror movie. The lady scraped my lip with the teeth scraper. She was smiling with the mask on while i was in pain. I was grabbing the chair. I am a big man and never felt horrified. I had lots of spit and blood because there was no assistant to help me. I thought this place was going to be professional because of the view and waiting room. This place only wants to bill your insurance. My mouth was in such excruciating pain for 3 weeks. I called them and they said use salt water. I had to go to kickingbird dental to get fixed. Bright smile messed up my smile. My bite is messed up. The doctor had the audacity to say my jaw was messed up before the dental work. They didn't prescribe me medicine at all. They just wanted to do a follow up and bill my insurance again. They need to be sued and out of business. Worst mistake I made. Someone needs to investigate them. read more
