My entire family has been coming to Kickingbird dental for a few years and our experience has been perfect til recently. We have had the same hygienist the last year or so and she is amazing, friendly and very gentle. on my last visit a month ago and my daughters visit she had today we had a different hygienist. To say she was the exact opposite would be a understatemen. There was no conversation, a lot of pain and blood, overall experience was terrible for both of us. I will be requesting the other one and if she isn't available we will wait til she is or may have to go elsewhere. The front desk staff was great and really polite. My problem is with my dentures. My first appointment was in July. Every time I went I was expecting to leave with a smile that I wouldn't be ashamed of and to say that still has not happened. I don't know why they cannot seem to get the fitting right on the dentures and for months I have to go completely toothless and as anyone knows that is so embarrassing. At the same time I was dealing with my mother's death and had to speak with doctors and professionals with no teeth in my head. It was a very traumatic experience. And it is actually changed my life. My depression and anxiety has pretty much made me a recluse. I can't stand to be seen in public or even look at myself in the mirror because I still do not have a set of dentures that I can wear. They won't even stay in my mouth and they are so uncomfortable they give me major headaches. I went to so many appointments with them getting it wrong that I finally just gave up and was stuck with a very inadequate pair. I really wish that they would have explained the process to me better before I decided to go that route. They hardly explained anything. They so no compassion or even apologize for my situation. It's my opinion that you stay as far away from this so-called dental clinic as possible. read more

Let me start off with the fact that I am PETRIFIED of dentists. Also want to add that Novacaine does not numb me good no matter how much they use on me. I read somewhere that people who have a fear of the dentists have a hard time getting numb due to high anxiety Today I had to have two wisdom teeth pulled. My anxiety was through the roof. DR. Robinson saw that I was nervous and suggested nitrous oxide(laughing gas) to make me more comfortable. It worked. He and his awesome assistant Johnny took amazing care of me. This was the best dental experience I have ever had in my life. He was so professional and pulled the 2 wisdom teeth with ease. They were both out in about 20 minutes. I recommend anyone with anxiety issues with the dentists go and see Dr. Robertson and his assistant Johnny. They will take excellent care of you. 5 star service!!! read more

I wouldn't trust this dentist office with my dog let alone my family. Worst dental experience of my life and I've been to plenty of dentists. The disconnect between office staff, hygienists and providers was appalling. I felt like a Guinea pig; the hygienist was inexperienced and rough when assisting with fillings. My teeth feel jagged and oddly shaped; I'm sure I'll have to get them shaved down again but will definitely be going elsewhere. They could not accommodate their original appointment times, but after so much chaos and confusion as to what procedures they were going to be performing on my child, I immediately decided to leave and not have her endure what I just went through. I called my dental insurance and they made a note on my account to deny any claims if they submit anything for my daughter as she didn't have anything done, thankfully. If you want to get things done, but you don't care about the price/delay/or shape If you want to get in and out of a dental office as soon as possible, irrespective of the results If you want a physician who would not care about you, that he sees 3 patients at the same time Then go for that place. If you are interested you can read my experience below I had a crown place on one of my front teeth in the past that got broken with eating, that I went to the office to put a new crown on my old implant Dr. Josh Brasher told me, we have two treatment options, either to place another crown, or another implant. Then he sent me his business nurse to discuss the pay for the 2 options, that came and really stressed that i should take the implant option (the more expensive one), even though she is talking about costs and should not discuss treatment options with patients (I assume she does not have enough training to talk about them!!) So i said fine let's do the crown, so he tried to put the crown and then after a while, he said it's not gonna be possible to put a crown as my old implant was deep and he could not put a new crown on it (I was surprised how this did not show up in his initial evaluation) He placed the implant and put a temporary crown on top with a bad color and bad measurements that got broken with flossing. I went back and he took the crown off, and then he placed a flipper without a matching color, and it was crocked, and when i said why it is like that, he said it is not gonna be perfect, and his nurse said it is a different color because the material is different from the tooth!! I said I will live with it, as I am a physician, and I have to take time off and arrange coverage every single time I come to the office I went back after 4 months to get the permanent crown, and oh gosh that took me 3 visits going back and forth; between the color does not match, and the crown is not ready, come later, then eventually putting a crown with poor measurement, that i swear i feel it feels uncomfortable everyday read more

I've always been terrified of the dentist stemming way back from my childhood, but on Friday, I absolutely HAD to see one to get a tooth pulled. Even though it was noon on Friday, they had me come in right away, and got me back to see someone in less than 10 minutes. The staff was kind, compassionate, calming, and non judgemental. They worked with my flexible spending card, and took great care of me. They offered gas, and got me super numbed up before my extraction, and flushed the gas away with oxygen after the procedure was done, so driving back to work was 100% safe. The dentist even called me later on in the evening to make sure I was doing okay. That really meant a lot to me. My takeaway from this whole situation is that not all dentists are scary, and Kickingbird Dental is going to be my family's new dentist. I highly recommend this place. read more

I am changing my mind for previous review and give the clinic and doctors what they deserve As I mentioned before the staff and doctor were nice and still nice, not because I regret but I misunderstood the situation until Dr. Greg and Dr. Josh contacted me. Both of them were caring about what was going, then they explained to me(it's normal some patients can get infection,sore, or pain after work done). Calls 45 mins BEFORE my scheduled appointment to inform me they don't take my insurance for dental coverage. Not only is that completely unprofessional it's a waste of my time as yours. Please learn from this experience because now im out of an appointment. You called me LAST WEEK to verify my appointment, don't you think the insurance issue would have been brought up? I debated this for a while about this post. I came in late March or early April. I had a cleaning and they fit me in to have my filling done and a root canal. I said I didn't want to do the crown today just the root canal. They numbed me up and he did another patient when he got back to me he had to numb me up again because I could still feel it. Its part my mouth was pissed off and that too much time had passed between him coming back to me. They offered gas but I am on a budget which was why I couldn't do the crown. They ended up giving me gas anyways which I thought it was nice at the time. When I was done I went to check out and she said he didn't read my notes about not wanting to do the crown, which I sighed about but I was out of it and I'd been there for about 6 hours. I called them the next day saying I'm not okay with them doing work that I did not approve. And I paid cash the day prior and I asked for a refund of my difference because she didn't have change but also they were going to put the difference towards the crown. She said she would take care of it and apologized said they didn't order the crown yet. And would put in for insurance to take it off. I waited a few weeks and then called my insurance and sure enough they put everything through to get charged, they apparently ordered my crown, and then redid an order and they returned it because the office did it wrong. My insurance called the office for me. They said the person I spoke to was no longer at the office. And that they'd take care of it. I called my insurance a month later and sure enough NOTHING HAPPENED. They again called the office and they asked me to come in and they'd do the crown for what I already paid. Which means they never cancelled the crown. NO- I didn't feel comfortable what so ever. This took 3 months to figure out. THEN they tried to charge my insurance for the laughing gas, which my insurance wouldn't cover. I've never had an experience like this ever. My insurance asked me to file a complaint against them with my insurance company but I had no paper work from them showing that I paid cash, they did refund me $87 in the long run, this was before they went to charge my insurance for the laughing gas. And didn't want to go through contacting them. For me when i got the letter from my insurance last week about the laughing gas, I think when they did that it was my last straw. Just be warned that I do not see this office as being ethical in anyway shape or form. read more

I woke up with terrible tooth pain and Kickingbird was able to fit me in. Dr. Austin was amazing and super patient. I ended up having my wisdom teeth removed and he was able to talk me through it to keep my anxiety under control. The staff were so polite and helpful! read more

Love Dr Cam, takes care of all my kids! I even recently went to see him myself due to a broken molar. He didn't do the root canal I expected as it wasn't needed and has taken the time to make sure my crown is 100%. My 9 year old had to do sedation dentistry until coming to see him and now he fine to go see Dr Cam and trusts him to do anything needed. He's had extractions, crowns, fillings, and a spacer, without the $1200 sedation bill I would have had to have. Highly recommend!! I just started coming to this dentist because he is at a great location and accepts my dental insurance. And I am so happy with him! Dr. Brasher is so awesome and great with me. I am extremely scared of dentists. It doesn't even make sense why I am. And you would be shocked at how nervous I am day of dentist appointments and right before I walk in I'm having an anxiety attack. Nothing ever hurts they bad but it's just the idea. So not only is Dr. Brasher good at what he does, he is patient and a great attitude and friendly bedside manners that lightens the mood. I definitely recommend going to him if you need any work done and esp for those who share my fear of the dentist! In addition, his hygienists and staff are awesome too. They are always super super sweet and really make you feel at home. The staff at Kickingbird Dentist really deserve some recognition for their superb customer service ! read more

Dr. Josh Brasher is a fantastic Dentist! I was concerned going in for x-rays and cleaning because I hadn't seen a Dentist in a long time. He was very kind and made me feel totally comfortable. Then when I had to have some fillings taken care of he kept checking on me throughout the procedure to be sure I was comfortable enough. I had a tooth that had been giving me sensitivity issues for years and one visit to Dr. Josh fixed the problem. He's also great with children and helped my 18 month old feel comfortable having his teeth looked at. He is very personable and could make anyone feel at ease. Dr Josh is absolute best dentist I have ever been too. Listened to concerns, gave me options and spent plenty of time with me. Performed a painless root canal and crown and called me afterwards to check on my recovery. Would go to this dentist even if I moved out of the area. Avoid this place at all cost! I had a crown done here by Dr. Greg. He didn't do it correctly and I ended up in absolute pain for a week before I came back only to realize that he didn't shave the crown down enough. Not only that but instead of doing adjustments on the crown itself, he decided to make an executive decision without saying anything and shaved down the opposite real tooth. Now my real tooth is flat because of this and every dentist I have had since then has asked why my tooth looks like that or why my teeth looks flattened. Every time I have gone in, there's no one at the front or someone will come in late before checking you in. I came in here because of all the positive google reviews and that it was within walking distance even though it wasn't at the top of my list after doing an extensive research on dentists in the area. I highly recommend going to Dr. Wallace just a block over. read more
