Very disappointed in the total lack of organization and management or the occupational and physical therapy. She was supposed to have two sessions of Therapy a day. They usually did not happen and we don't believe a single one was for the proper time. The therapist would literally walk her half way down the hall for 5 minutes and return her to her room. It's almost like they want the senior to NOT recover so that they could get them as a full time permanent resident customer. No organization. No management. The therapy manager never returned my calls. They insist you declare on their markerboard if the senior has outside medical appointments so that they could schedule Therapy around it. We did days in advance. And just as I am wheeling my Mom OUT of the room for her declared medical appointment, BOTH the Occupational and the Physical Therapist show up and feign surprise that they won't be able to do any therapy that day. Pitiful. Stay away from Bethany for Rehab!!! Unless you don't want actual rehab for your patient. My Mom actually fully recovered ONLY because I checked her out early from Bethany and arranged for In Home Rehab thru Miami Valley Hospital. Also - My Mom's room was very worn and filthy. I asked multiple times if they could clean up the "accident" stains from the side chair. It only got better when a week later I cleaned it up myself. Pitiful.

Their construction rubble and some scattered trash by their dumpster has been pushed up against my back yard chain link fence and Fairmont High School's fence for over a year, a real eyesore! He let my parent die by ignoring a serious infection and not sending them to the hospital, then lied and said it got to bad too quick for him to do anything but recommend hospice. In less than 48 hours my mother was taken, by ambulance, to the ER for shortness of breath. I stopped by one week later to give them an update to find her room cleaned out & her belongings boxed up! We never rec'd written notice or a phone call re: "bed hold", which I am only now familiar with. Now the staff & administration are lying trying to cover their tracks because they did not adhere to the state standards and requirements. The food, when delivered to her room, was ice cold, inedible. The evening aide turned the a/c, in her room, to 62 both nights. That was the care she got overnight. I do not recommend Cypress to care for your loved ones.

There was a young guy who came in every night before leaving who washed if I needed anything before he left for home. I can not say that there wasn't a person who wasn't caring and nice. I can only speak of my experience there and I was so thankful that they got me strong enough to go home. Also the family must stay involved with your care. At any nursing facility it's a must. Thanks to all who was involved of my care. The food was okay. If they had something that I didn't care for they offered me something else. When they released him a horrible white nurse named Brittani (who I complained about previously and they still let tens to my dad) mentioned under her breath he didn't take a one of his meds (didn't tell me which one, just pointed to his pamphlet)... failed to mention it was his most important seizure medication .. they allowed him to not take it fryer a brain injury because he "didn't like the taste". He had a seizure that night and almost died after two months of ICU and inpatient rehab almost all thrown way because of one of the incompetent nurses who very clearly hates her job and hates where she works. I would not send my worst enemy here.

Care quality is terrible. Basically the call buzzer goes off for hours and hours. It went off for 3 straight days and they told me "there's just too many people hitting the buzzer, we can't answer em". Just unprofessional. I can't stress how bad this place is.
