The entire staff is amazing, Dr. Ron, Dr. Rod, and Dr. Baker are all excellent. The front desk staff, Monica and Judy, are awesome also. Unfortunately I felt that the doctor was extremely rude and condescending. I went in for an exam that took maybe 15 minutes, was told the appointment would be "around 85" and was charged 150. The rest of the staff was super nice and professional unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the doctor as I feel like he was just extremely annoyed by me and a waste of his time but not money. Also the only reason why I'm posting this is because I was sent a message asking how my appointment went just being honest. read more

Before coming here I had been seen by 3 other doctors and nothing seemed to work on my eye problems .they keep me coming in to see them and charging me for the office visit each time I was feeling like an ATM machine. After being sent to this location by the emergency room, my case was not treated like an emergency. I had severe iritis, meaning I had to be referred to a specialist. I was in so much pain I could not work or drive. After being told it was an emergency by their doctor at Brighton, he sent the referral out with a week to review by the other clinic. My eyesight didn't have a week to wait. They told me they had marked a 48 hour review window and this was the only way to get an appointment there. I call the retina specialist and they tell me all the doctor has to do is call in an emergency and I can get right in. Brighton has not even marked it as 48 hours, they marked it for a WEEK!! It was also written on the referral the Brighton CLinic was sending out. I couldn't make this up. They weren't even reading the form that could save my eyesight. It says in bold black letters. If emergency do not fill out CALL!! Once I went up to Brighton with the assistant on the phone from the retina specialist, the got it together and I had appointment that day. The doctors are knowledgeable, professional, courteous and friendly. The staff is very friendly and courteous too. They have modern equipment and a good selection of glasses. Always friendly. I found Brighton Eye Associates years ago when I had a sudden change in my vision. I had been to 2 other Optometrist's, even had an MRI, and they were less than helpful. Had an appointment with Dr. Baker and she understood the issue I was having. More importantly she was able to explain what was going on and correct the issue with the proper lens prescription. The doctors are amazing, however I would highly recommend NOT buying glasses from them. It took 3 weeks to get the glasses in, and they were over $600. A few months later a piece broke off and we've been told they aren't under warranty without the lost piece. Now we've waited another 3 weeks for the replacement and the shipment has been lost. We spent $160 for another pair at Costco, when the ones we bought from the Dr. were $600. read more

I had a emergency with my right eye. I called Dr Fair's office early in the afternoon and they got me in right away. Turns out my emergency was a detached retina. $200 for a cheap pair of frames that could have come from the Dollar Store. Progressive Lenses with only a tiny peep hole that focuses $300. Than an unexpected Bill 1 month later for another $200. After $700 - I am reverting back to my Drugstore readers. What a waste of time and money. read more

The incompetence and cavalier attitude regarding patient care, billing properly, and effectively communicating is sorely lacking at this business. When confronted with their ineptitude I got the excuse "We're human, we make mistakes." Certainly. I can allow for an error occasionally. However, when it's multiple errors and the attitude is one of "too bad, we don't actually care about you as a patient nor your concerns." It makes these 'human errors' in-excusable. Dr. Baker is great, I felt she truly tried to assist with issues I had regarding my contacts. The staff on the other hand was rude, incompetent and did not process the billing properly for my children. My children had an appointment for exams and we have a co-pay with a certain dollar allowance for frames. At the end of the exam my daughter needed glasses so they picked a pair. The staff at the register only charged the co-pay for my daughter having forgotten to charge it for my son. When I went in to pick up my daughters glasses I knew we had the co-pay due for my son which I confirmed with the staff, it was also confirmed that this was ALL THAT WAS OWED, and I promptly paid it. I had an appointment a few weeks later for my exam which included contacts. The staff broke down what my costs were and I signed the form stating I'd pay X dollar amount. When I got to the register the amount was significantly more because the contact exam is separate - which they didn't tell me until they already had my credit card in hand - I let them know it'd be good to know that prior to arriving at the register as I don't like money surprises of this nature. A week ago a bill arrived stating my son's co-pay was unpaid. Their father paid over the phone and I left a message requesting a call back. Received a call the following business day with a very snippy staff member who stated I need to bring the proof in, interrupted me as I pointed out that's not convenient to do so as I'm an hour away and tells me to mail it in then. I ask if there isn't an email or fax as that's more expedient to which she huffily provides. I send in the proof and call back later in the afternoon to hear the resolution. She informs me that according to their records I owed an additional amount for my daughter's glasses - keep in mind at no point during my daughter's appointment, when we picked up the glasses, when I came in for my appointment, was this ever mentioned - and they applied the money I paid for my son's co-pay to her overage costs therefore this co-pay amount is valid. And I shouldn't be mad because "We're human, mistakes happen." Frankly, this is shady business practice and feels like a made up explanation so they don't have to process a credit or admit they screwed up. I work in accounting for a living. I fully understand debits and credits. I understand human error. What I don't understand is consistent error and the attitude received over questioning these charges. read more
