The office is clean, service is friendly, prompt, and thorough; and Dr. Murray is just the best. I've had a long term problem where sometimes when I get a new prescription, it'll mess up my depth perception so badly I feel like I'm drunk and can't wear my new glasses at all. I told Dr. Murray about this, and during my examination, she figured out what was causing the problem and was able to correct for it. I've been going to the Olson family Eyecare for the exams needed for updates on my eyecare. The experience is comfortable and The exam for cataracs if done electronically which is 100 times better than eye soaking at other places. I definitely recommend using them for your eye exams. read more

I'm always super happy with the care I receive from Dr. Olson and his staff. The women at the front of the office are always so pleasant. And Dr. Olson takes time explaining things and answering my questions. When I first visited a year ago we tried every contact lense under the sun. Dr. Olson was very patient and attentive to my comfort issues with the lenses. Unfortunately after trying a few brands, none of them worked. Everything was just ok. Dr. Burns was nice enough, but if I really had any concerns about my eye health, I'm not sure that she would have really listened to me. When I first arrived I observed her rushing the previous patient out of the office and not taking time to listen to their questions. The office itself is also not very welcoming. I was a new patient when I saw Dr. Olson - to his office and to eye care, evaluation and correction, in general. What a "breath of fresh air" this appointment was. I was already anxious about needing some sort of correction - either glasses or contacts - and Dr. Olson made me feel so much more relaxed and comfortable. He was very patient, took his time with the exam and explained everything he was doing and finding. Ultimately, he took my wishes into consideration and we decided that contacts were my preference and he was so helpful and patient in explaining all the details of wearing and taking care of them. I was so impressed with him - as a Doctor of Optometry and as a person. Just as a bonus - since it was my first exam and my first set of contacts, I was told that I could come back to see him at no charge for up to a year after this exam. That was reassuring and made me feel like it would be "ok" if I needed to come back or ask any questions in the future. He made himself 100% available. Definitely recommend Dr. Olson and his practice!!(Also doesn't hurt that his office is located right inside the Costco store and that all supplies are offered right there.) read more

I was impressed with Dr. Rikard Olson's courtesy, competence, and professionalism when I last saw him about a year ago. When my 62-year-old friend...who hadn't had an eye exam in 10 years and had lost (and not replaced) a contact lens months ago...decided to get an updated prescription, I recommended Dr. Olson. She booked an appointment online. Her first words to me after the exam: "It's a WHOLE NEW WORLD!" She said that she didn't realize until after the appointment (she walked out wearing a free set of new contact lenses) how many wrinkles she had, how dirty her car and house were, or how lovely the Denver skyline looked. My appointment with Dr. Olson went well or so I thought until I had my prescription filled and I could not see through my new glasses. I brought the glasses into the Costco optical dept. where they informed me that I had to get rechecked by Dr. Olson. Two weeks later I was able to get an appointment for a recheck where I .told the prescription is correct but the lenses were made wrong. Dr. Olson spoke with the optical department explaining the problem with the lenses. The optical dept. manager insisted the lenses were correctly made and would not send them back to have them redone. Then he said he could only give me a refund. Now I have no glasses and I am out the cost of the dr. exam and my insurance benefits that were applied to my 2 new sets of glasses and lenses! So, the doctor's instructions were not carried out by the optical department and as a customer I walked away very disappointment and upset having no recourse to solve the matter since the doctor and the optical department will not work together to resolve their different opinions. I seriously doubt I'll be given a refund for the exam and have my insurance benefits reinstated. read more

This was perhaps the most thorough eye exam I've ever received, and best of all, the retina exam did not involve pupil dilation, but rather used a portable digital retinal camera--much faster and far more comfortable than the old-school way, of course. Dr. Olson was very friendly, professional and efficient. He also welcomed my questions and took the time to answer them without sounding rushed or bothered. Prices are are very affordable, even without vision insurance. My family and I will definitely return to Dr. Olson for future eyecare needs. read more
