This was my second visit to BullDawg's. The first time I had the cheese steak. I would not recommend it. The cheese was not evenly spread. The second time was yesterday. I ordered the classic burger which is mushroom and provolone. I made a point to order it well done because I've noticed a lot of food trucks do not cook to well done. They said it would take an extra few minutes which I don't mind waiting for something to be well done. It was delicious!!!! I think they are a little pricey for a food truck. $11 for a burger and fries. But that wouldn't stop me from getting it again. The first time I at here the hoagies was good and the girl at the register was friendly. The 2nd time I went. $40 FOR 2 dry burgers. Soggies fries that tasted as if cooked in old old oil. Honestly I really was hopeful that this would be really good for the price point, the burger itself looked and tasted like the frozen patties you could get at any grocery store the fries had no flavor and were way to overcooked. $30 for 2 burgers 2 orders of fries and water was way to high for the quality of the food. BullDawg's came to a community event in my town. They had a few different options of hamburgers or hotdogs. We ordered the bbq burgers, that came with good hand cut fries. And philly steaks that also came with fries. $11 per meal was not bad. It took about 10-15 for out food to get done, no big deal because it was fresh! Would never try this food truck if you paid me. They were at grist house for dads and dogs and they were blocking the only sidewalk handicap entrance for wheelchairs on the block, and we had our 92 year old grandmother with us in a wheelchair. After watching us struggle with her and lifting her entire chair onto the sidewalk, we let them know they were blocking it and that no one could get through with a wheelchair if they needed to get through and then responded with a shrug and "it's a city ordinance, we can park here". Like no apology, no care at all that we were struggling with a 92 year old grandparent. They literally could have moved their truck forward A FOOT and we could have fit her wheelchair onto the sidewalk. Rude. Overpriced. No thanks read more

Most of this review is based off of the fact that they were busy. There VERY MUCH is a chance that this is completely different if they are a bit slower. If I ever see the truck in the wild again, I *might* be willing to try it again and see if they are better. But I also know working in the food industry is knowing how to handle a rush. Supply: They were at a festival i was attending. The festival started at 11 and ended at 7. By 1 they were already out of a few things including drinks. Its clear they either didnt plan ahead, or assumed they wouldnt be busy. They also 86ed (got rid of) something on the menue entirely because they said they were out of one ingredient. So rather than giving you the option to have it without the ingredient, they just told you that the whole thing wasn't available. ( either they were out of everything on that hotdog, which adds to the list of things they were out and just didnt want to say it, or they just refused to offer it). They were also out of Ketchup..... which for a place that sells fries, is kind of a big deal. They did have sides of ketchup, i noticed. Some people were asked if they wanted cheese or ketchup with their fries. Others were not. So they had ketchup, im guessing they were just saving that for specific orders, so they at least could give it to some menue items, rather than run out completley for sides. Which i completely understand and it makes sense. Just shouldn't have been an issue to begin with. Customer Service: The line was long, but like i said, they hadn't been there all too long, and the man at the window (with a G tattoo on his arm) was very harsh and didn't care to have a good customer voice. I work in kitchens. I understand being stressed out during rushes. I also know that if I'm dealing with customers, I don't bark at them that you are out of things or their total. (Tho i get that maybe he was just trying to be on theme... cuz bulldawgs) Food: the fries at first glance looked soggy. But actually had a good crunch. So i was very pleasantly surprised with that. The burger was nice and thick and juicy which was wonderful, but lacked flavor overall. Idk if they just dont season their meat or didnt use enough, but it definitely was bland. But it was filling and for it being a non chain restaurant, the price for what you got wasnt bad. Thats the only thing stopping me from giving a 1 star. Maybe if it had been seasoned better, it would have been a 3 star. TLDR: need to work on customer interactions a bit better, work on planning ahead better, and season their food. read more

So I have had Bulldawg's a couple of time in the past and yesterday I was at Grist House and finally realized how much I appreciate them! I love hot dogs. LOVE. But I have a huge gripe about most shops around the city...they all have these great hot dogs...awesome toppings...and then this sad little bun that isn't anything special. I ordered a hot dog that had bacon, bbq and provolone on it...gosh....it was soo incredibly good and the best part? the chewiest hot dog bun. I mean...formidable. I respected that bun. This was my first time at bulldawgs, i was so happy i decided to eat there because it was the best burger i have had in a long time. you can tell the ingredients were fresh, and my bulldawg burger was cooked perfectly - and not too greasy. the fries were crispy, and the mac and cheese bites were PERFECT. the service was just as outstanding, everyone who works there was very kind and entertaining. had a great conversation with mike, the owner, and overall the service and food makes me want to go back again and again! read more

Very rude when I asked them to remove the meat from one of their options. You would have though I asked for a full course custom meal. A. You don't have to be rude about it- news flash not everyone loves greasy meat and people DO in fact have different food preferences. B. If you can customize a burger and a Philly steak with 10 different options, why can you simply not make one tin meat? Just got the food truck today. A burger and fries combo for $11. Burger and fries were small to average size. They did not have lettuce tomato or other normal toppings. They gave examples of what to put on it but all did not fit my taste for a burger. Would be better jus to list all topping they have and jus tell the customer to pick three bc that's what happens anyways. Slightly overpriced for the burger and fries. Would like to spend 9-10. Not worth it to buy again in my opinion. Did not have a ketchup dispenser jus gave you one individual packet. Burger itself was lacking flavor. Needs to add some seasoning to the bland frozen burger. Overall wouldn't get that meal again. Maybe a hot dog. But not worth my time or money again. read more

Got to try this restaurant courtesy of Uber eats app. I ordered a BBQ hot dog, The cheesesteak and loaded fries. First thing I inhaled was the Hot dog. The flavor from how it was cooked was so good i didnt want to put it down. Second thing i tried was half of the cheesesteak. It was tender, juicy and the bread choice was perfect. Great Dogs! Snappy frank's on great bread. All condiments are top quality. Burgers are d'licious as well, uses fresh good beef. Cheese steaks as well are top quality. Favorite food truck in the burgh. When this truck is at a brewery it makes the beer taste better. read more

I was very disappointed with the service here. I order a burger and they gave me a Philly cheesesteak. I said to the guy oh I ordered the burger not a cheese steak. He said hat he heard me say cheese steak and I said this definitely isn't what I wanted. Then he tells well I only charged you for the cheese steak. It was a .50 difference... At this point I was just ready to leave since I had my 1 year old who was getting tired and my 3 and 4 year old waiting for me with my husband. I just decided it was fine and I would try it. Never did this guy ever offer to give me the right order! I just felt like he kept saying well this is what I heard and this is what happened. With many food trucks to choose from at the food truck festival at the Meadows casino, this is where we ended up. Definitely something on the menu for everyone. My XXX hot cheesesteak was delicious and different. It was made on exceptionally good bread. My wife's burger was so so she said. Again it was different. Fresh cut fries were good but many many small pieces. Could've used a fork to eat them but didn't have one. Food was made in a timely matter. Items were priced good.
