Brighton's is one of my faavorite stores for jewelry purchases. I went to this particular location to use a gift card I received for Christmas. It was a perfect gift because my family knows I love the look and feel of Brighton's merchandise. The items are super classy. Plus, there is the option to customize items with their charms. They threw in cute complimentary bag with my jewelry, which was a welcoming treat. In addition, the Sales Partner Jeanne Hall was very friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and accommodating. She took her time packaging the jewelry in a Brighton's branded gift bag and tissue paper in a way that made it feel like a present. I found everything I wanted and am very pleased with my purchase as usual. This location is also close to home, so I will definitely be back for more. read more

I came in to this store to exchange a bracelet I received as a gift that was too small. Considering this was my first time receiving something from Brighton instead of purchasing it, I foolishly assumed the process was the same. I have purchased several gifts here and if you tell the clerk it is a gift they'll take off the price tag, put the item in a classic Brighton cloth bag and add so much tissue paper to their store bag it looks like a masterpiece. I walk in and tell the first clerk to approach me that I need to exchange the bracelet for a larger size. I hand the bracelet to her and she takes it over to a wall of bracelets to find its match. She spends all but 10 seconds scanning the massive selection, ignoring the 3 other areas of the store that also has silver bracelets, and grabs an iPad to look it up online. I was the only person in the store so another clerk came over to help the other girl find it. She looked at the bracelet, spinning it around and examining it so close you'd think I was being cross examined. "Where did you get this?" the clerk asks. I told her it was a gift that was purchased at an airport Brighton store but was told any store would exchange it as it was Brighton. "Oh" she said, in a snarky tone. "Airport stores sell older, retired things we don't sell anymore." It took a lot not to snap back at her but I just wanted to exchange the bracelet and leave. In case you've never been in a Brighton, everything they sell looks the same. All of their sterling silver accessories have an odd swirl or circle design. Nothing is really tastefully done or detailed, which is a surprise considering their prices are insane for something you could get at Walmart or Charming Charlie's for half the price. Brighton caters to older women with disposable income that like to buy tacky, outdated, over priced purses, shoes and accessories. My Grandmother and old boss love this place and while a part of me died every time I'd buy a gift card, I knew they'd enjoy it so I let it go. 10 minutes in to my bracelet exchange and now 3 clerks were at the counter examining my bracelet as if it was going to be held as evidence later. I was irritated and attempted small talk considering I began to feel very uncomfortable. The initial clerk takes my bracelet to the back and within a few minutes reappears again. "I showed this to our manager" she said now staring me down, "she has been here over 5 years and she said this bracelet is over 3 years old. Without a recent receipt we can't exchange this." She hands it back to me as if she is handing over a petri dish containing the flu virus. I wanted to scream. What was I supposed to do? It was purchased as a gift at an airport where clearly, as I was told, "all the old stuff is sold at." I left embarassed and feeling like a criminal. I am not trying to pull a "fast one" on the Gidgets that work here. The bracelet is a real Brighton piece that was purchased not even 4 days before I came in the store. There is even a 'B' imprinted on the inside of the bracelet proving it was valid. If I was attempting to exchange a fake item I can understand the resistence but this was uncalled for. When I got home, I surfed the Brighton website and found my bracelet on the first page under the tab for new items, imagine that. I will NEVER go back in this store again nor will I ever buy another gift card. If they treated me so poorly in an attempt to exchange a bracelet, how do they treat the people I send their gift cards to? Never again. read more

I was a consumer at Brighton for years before I worked there. For me to work somewhere I must really support the items. Brighton is full of great jewelry that is made to last. I have had some items for over 5 years and if they break, tarnish of the like they will gladly take it back and repair it. I have read what the other consumer has said about Brighton products and I don't think they are fair reasonable or even accurate reports. This is coming from a consumers mouth and not an employee. But having done both now I buy even more jewelry because I back the product up with my employment knowledge and knowing their procedures. It is a wonderful place to work as well. Make sure you register your bags and send your items in for repair we will do our best to fix it or replace it. But we do look it up by iPad or computer to make sure we find the style number Ja... it's important for paperwork, otherwise it would be hard to replace. And giving back credit by allowing you to go on www.brightoncollectible.com page to find your new item if unavailable is pretty normal and one last thing 60 day policy is incredible because most stores at the avenue give 30 days. From a consumers mouth first and foremost this place is a great place to work because they do a lot to make their consumers and employees happy. read more

Customer service in this store is so inconsistent. The staff turn over often and do not seem to be well informed about the product. I expect that they should be able to speak to the products in the catalog. Often don't even know if they have the product. Just asked for a store credit for a pair of sandals purchased about 3 weeks ago. The store manager refused to provide a store credit because she said she did not have anymore in the store. Right? I am done with this store and the poorly informed staff. I will go to the Perimeter store where the staff are long term and know their product. Disappointed! read more

I purchased a bracelet from this Brighton in November. In January, the bracelet fell apart. I contacted Brighton and was told I had to ship the bracelet to them for repair. Reluctantly, I paid to shipping and insurance to ship the bracelet to City of Industry, CA. I received the replacement back in a reasonable amount of time (they got something right). A month later, the bracelet fell apart again. Again, I paid for shipping and insurance to ship the bracelet back. This time I requested either a refund or a replacement that would not fall apart. I received a response from Brighton and was provided with the option to replace the bracelet and lost charms - but with some stipulations that everyone should be aware of. Don't buy from Brighton - the jewelry is cheap and will fall apart. You will NOT receive a refund and THEY tell you what you can use the exchange for - and they only give you 60 days to make the exchange!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Here is the response: We would like to extend a special courtesy of having it replaced with a similar item of your choosing. We have issued you a credit in the amount stated below to use towards ordering a new item. This credit is only valid through Brighton Consumer Affairs and is not redeemable for cash or valid in retail locations. We will accommodate your request as best we can but are not able to replace your piece with an item from another category. If your chosen replacement is higher in value than your credit amount, the difference can be paid with a Visa or MasterCard. If it is lower in price point, we are unable to refund the difference.
