Ileigh and Tammy were incredible jewelers! I initially came in to pick up wedding rings for a wedding but ended up leaving with some great pieces for myself as well. Tammy provided amazing service...she's truly a jack of all trades. Her knowledge and ability to anticipate what I might need were impressive. But what stood out the most was her energy--warm, familiar, and down to earth. I spent a lot of time chatting with her about her experiences, which made my time there even more enjoyable. I wouldn't tell anyone to go there . The manager was very disrespectful and very quick to talk over you. I went in there for a ring and wasnt pleased with the first lady that told me that all prices of rings online was not true . Wow all 10 rings I picked was not the real price ok. Second she kept trying to force me to get a credit card multiple times. Then the manager come over and tell me we don't do layaway and that I can find better selection in the little hole in the wall shops in Atlanta. Wow very disrespectful and racist. I been racial profiled as well as I had my kids with me and the manager kept forcing a credit card but wanted the 3000 I had in my pocket to make a sale . I will never shop in any of these locations for the nasty and distasteful manager. After reading the other reviews I wasn't sure if they are speaking of the same Kay Jeweler. I'm providing a review for Kay's at The Avenue on Dallas Hwy. in Marietta. Full disclosure I didn't buy anything. I actually came in to see a gold bangle I've been eyeballing on the Kay website. I wanted to see it in person. I've been wanting a gold bangle since I was a teen. I wouldn't have gotten one as a teen after finding out the retail prices of bangles. Teens don't appreciate the cost of anything until they have to pay for it. The sad thing is when jewelry is appraised they aren't appraised nearly as much as the retail price. As I walk up to the door I noticed ( signage on the door about guns) guns weren't allowed in the jewelry store under any circumstances. Well it didn't relate to me, I'm just one to freaking read everything. LOL. Ok, I walked in and an armed guard is right at the door. Geesh! I smiled at him to let him know I'm friendly and sweet. hehehe...I just want to see the bangles. Next I asked the nice sales associate if I could see the bangles. Unfortunately she only had one that I remembered as a bangle in my day. It was very flexible and had a clasp on it that I hated. The one that will open up and fall someplace without me being aware. That bangle was nearly 500.00. If it fell off my arm, I'd have problems. LOL The sales associate was very helpful and nice. She compliment the jewelry I wore and she informed me of the warranties that I'd get with my bracelet. I've spent more for a few pieces I already have. My concern is the clasp. It doesn't seem sturdy. The store was clean and well organized. I think they were having a sale, because it's Kay's 100th anniversary. I looked at a few rings and left with a catalog. I would shop here, because the sales lady was very nice. The guard freaked me out, because I hadn't shop in a place with a guard in a long time. I have an excellent experience with Donna and Elaine at this Kay's location. I was eyeing a ring for a while and both were very helpful, honest and friendly throughout the experience. I have not always liked the "big box" jewelry stores, but illl be back in the future for sure!! read more

Cliffnotes: Honestly this is not an enjoyable place to shop. With the high pressure tactics, blatant disregard for customer needs or privacy, lack of quality service, and cheap and shoddy environment this is not a nice place to buy fine jewlery. I would much rather shop at a mall jewlery store than this location. Long Version: I have been in and out of this store a few times in the last month. I like to get a few days worth of information before writing a review. Here is what i've seen after multiple trips: First time i arrived in the store the first thing i noticed was paperwork with customer information left out in the open right on top of the bridal case. I'm talking about phone numbers, addresses, etc. private info in plain view for anyone to see. On multiple occasions i have seen associates walking around barefoot. This is just unsanitary. This is a business, not your house. They will hassle you to get their credit card. And when i say hassle i mean it borders on harassment. In my first visit i must have been asked and pressured into getting their card at least a dozen times. The do not take no for an answer. The sales tactics here are much like buying a car. Very aggressive high pressure sales tactics. If you walk in you better be ready to buy because they will hassle you until you do The lady who is the manager (looks like she is hispanic of some sort) has been rude on more than one occasion. She has an obviously fake sounding "excited" voice that she uses regularly. She seems excited to help her associates only once it looks like there is going to be a sale. Both the manager and assistant manager have been seen standing and talking to people who look more like friends than customers while their associates scramble to take care of real customers while other customers sit and wait for service. I've seen them talk to these people for up to an hour at a time and not do anything jewlery wise while people wait. Glass is constantly dirty from finger prints, on more than one occasion the floor looked like it needed to be vacuumed. Some case glass has been broken or cracked and has not been fixed. Their "cleaning solution" is constantly filthy. The cleaning of the store is sub-par. They just had their "big sale" this weekend and the place looked so trashy. Signs littered the windows and were all over inside. It did not look like a place to buy fine jewlery, it looked like a place to buy stainless steel junk. After reading the below comments, it is clear they visited this store (in the west cobb avenues) before the new manager and her staff took this store over. I have been shopping at this location for almost 2 years now. About a year ago, this store's staff and store manager were very UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE... I call it how I see it. But since "New management" came in, they have done a complete 360 of this store and turned it into a place where I love to shop. All of the previous employees have been removed and replaced with hard working/caring employees led by a store manager name Morgan (she's great). I admit that I have shopped at a numerous of different jewelry stores but since the New Management, I haven't been to a better-managed store. If you are looking at buying an Engagement Ring or trying to find a "Just Cause" gift, this is the place to shop. Since the new management, I have bought tons of new pieces of jewelry and I will continue to spend my money here! This store is a solid 5 stars. This Kay's jeweler is the one and ONLY store my husband and I choose to spend our hard earned money at! From the time you walk in you get a overwhelming feeling of helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly smiling staff members. This particular location has a great selection and is willing to order items if need be, I could go on and call out certain names but to be honest everyone there is simply awesome, from cleaning to inspecting your jewelry they are up for the task. I walked in with a watch that my husband gave my son. I asked if they could take a link out of the watch and change the battery. The watch was not typical and I was unsure if they would be able to take care of it there. The watch lady was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. This Kay Jewelers customer service is terrible. My sisters and I went to buy our grandmother a Mother's Day gift. We walked in and looked around for ourselves for about 2 minutes before someone helped us because it was crowded. The one black man (I am black too so this is not a race thing. I am stating his race because I do not know his name) working in the store walked up to me and nicely asked what I was looking for. As I am telling him, he says nothing and walks away and leaves me standing there. I didn't really like anything so I told him nevermind, I also didnt appreciate him walking away from me. He threw his hands up in the air with a frustrated attitude waving me off and said "...OKAY". Then walked away AGAIN without saying anything. I asked if there was a problem and he ignored me. At no point before this did I have an attitude with him or any other person in the store. I understand the store was busy but that is still no way to treat a customer who is about to drop a lot of money in that store. read more

Ive been shopping with this company since 2007 today was the end of that forever! The staff was very nice and very helpful. The manager should have waived my repair fee for the second time the product broke! Everything ive ever purchased here has been repaired at least once if not twice and once a ring three times and its currently broke now. For anything you need, Elaine never fails to make it happen. For anything that's not right, she will go above and beyond to make it right. I have experienced her dedication and loyalty to her customers first hand. If you have not had a good experience in this store then please take my advice and see Elaine. She will turn it around for you. I recommend calling ahead of time to make sure she is there and possibly scheduling an appointment to make sure you're waited on in a timely manner. I've seen a ton of bad reviews based on just having to wait long periods. Well they are first come, first serve and get busy quickly so exercising patience is necessary. I have been going to this store for years. I have gotten to know at least 4 different managers there. They have all treated us with respect and kindness. Those who say they are rude and pressuring...my guess is it was a bad day for all or the customer was rude, impatient or misunderstanding. I never go anywhere else and I don't want to. I don't even go to other Kay locations. We have bought birthday gifts, anmiversary, Christmas, built mother's day Charmed Memories bracelets, etc.. This one is home. In fact, this is the store that helped us rebuild my engagement and wedding ring into beautiful ring. It took about 5 different sessions. They never tried to get me to replace them with a whole new set they were selling. They knew it wasn't what I wanted. I get compliments all the time because it is not like anyone else's. For me when you walk into a store greeting people is the normal thing to do. I proceeded to walk in an no one spoke to us but when the 2 other white couples walked in after us they were greeted immediately. I then had to stand there for 15 min with no help. I'm not sure if the previous reviews were at the same store I'm reviewing, 3625 Dallas Hwy SW Ste 705, Marietta, GA 30064, but the customer service is phenomenal and the staff is extremely friendly! I was never pressured for credit card information or hassled to open an account. The cleanliness of the store was never a question. I am actually a very picky shopper. I changed my mind on several items I purchased that were being processed for build at the repair shop, when Elaine cancelled everything and assisted me in getting what I really wanted. Poor repair service and customer service follow up by the manager Misty. I purchased 12k in jewelry over the last 24 months and took mi diamond ring in for repair and the repair job was done poorly. I had to take it back three times now and I explained that the holiday was coming up gave them five days notice to make sure that they do the work this time the other times they would tell me the work was complete and I would show up to learn the repair was not done. The manage refused to come to the phone said she was on a call working with another customer for the past 3 hours she had a worker tell me when they get an update on my ring they would call me. Keep in mind today is Friday I did advise them I need this to fly out by Monday. I seriously wonder if my ring is lost or the reason my ring showed back up with my stones moved is due to foul play. I was told by the main customer service number that the store should call me in an hour if they don't call them back. That is not service I still feel like take a number this has been going on for 3 1/2 weeks now. I will never purchase anything from them again. 8:00 pm I was notified the ring was lost and they will have loss prevention work on the case. I want a full refund. read more

My wife and I stopped in to special order a gift and found out several hours later that we ordered the wrong item. Because Jamar and the rest of the staff were so polite, understanding and willing to go above and beyond to correct the problem we actually went back the next day to make additional purchases. We specifically asked for Jamar and once again he was patient, friendly and more than willing to spend the time with us during our time in the store.
