if you go anywhere else, you messed up! these guys are fair, fast, and just plain Trustworthy. i am now a lifetime client.

Being told last minute my machine wouldn't be delivered on a Friday sure and Inconvenience. Getting called on Monday to ask if my mower was delivered because they don't know where it is or if it was dropped off at the wrong location even more concerning but shit happens. Calling to explain that my hydraulic reservoirs are bone dry and that is not manufacturer spec and being told that it is , completely unacceptable. Then proposing I go to them after paying for pick up and delivery or wait until Friday ? After I'm going on 2 weeks without my mower ? Own your mistake atleast this is not an adequate hydraulic servicing and you should be going back through this machine to make sure stuff is right. Several things documented were never done evidence by the parking brake still not being adjusted being billed for one fuel filter that is off brand and having an on brand filter on the machine ? Sloppy. I hope to hear from Brighton mower leadership. Attached are the staff reported specs for hydraulic fluid so watch out that matches no manual I have seen, I attached those for simple visual evidence. Update: Some technician came to my house identified it was not properly filled before I could ascertain what oil was being added one side had been added without of specification oil. This lead to another call with a rude customer service agent indicating that there product his fine however my warranty clearly dictates what products are used. To correct this all of the hydro oil must be redrained. This has been just about 3 weeks without a lawn mower. Stay away if you have a warranty or want anything done to manufacture specification. Had Brighton mower pickup my snow blower for a repair... I had to call a week later because I had not heard back. They responded that the engine was gone and there was nothing they could do... $75 delivery fee. I watched some you tube videos on tecumseh motors, took apart the electric starter... the gear Tarth on the starter were gone. Replaced the gear easily. Fly wheel was fine. Replaced the spark plug. Works fine. Brighton mower is the most unethical business for small engine repair. DO NOT TAKE your mowers or snow blowers there for service. It is the worse! read more

UPDATE: After a phone call the owner was prompt in helping out. Although I'm a little disappointed I had to call. I will update the review once service is complete. I called on 10/25 about having a snow blower serviced. They said it was still Fall so they'd have to prioritize lawn mowers first. Okay, that's fine. The person on the phone said they would look at it in the following 2 weeks. 3 weeks passed since that initial phone call and I've heard nothing from them. We had a snow storm this week so I called them up and they mentioned they were swamped (likely due to the storm). I told them it's been three weeks since our chat and over 2 weeks since they picked the device up. The owner said he'd "move us to the front of the line because [I] sounded anxious." The owner was helpful, had it looked at on Thursday, called Friday with an update and then again today after a full assessment. While I'm disappointed I had to call things seem to have moved quickly since then. read more

THEY LEFT MY LAWNMOWER OUTSIDE FOR 115 DAYS - they were supposed to be tuning it!! Brought my push lawnmower to them for a tune-up - it was winter so they said they'd get to it after the snowblowers - they said it would be 3 MONTHS - I said fine, it's winter. I was traveling when they called for me to get it and I said it would be a couple of weeks until I picked it up. When I did, I learned they had stored my mower OUTSIDE THE ENTIRE TIME!! They really need to let customers know they do not have a facility to store machinery!! read more

I tried to repair my power washer engine last summer, finally gave up this spring and brought it in to Brighton Mower. It was early June so they were really busy with mowers, they said 3 weeks which was fine for me, and it was ready in 2. Washer works as new, and the bill was a quarter of what I expected. read more

Get your mower serviced elsewhere. We've purchased two mowers from Brighton Mower and have occasionally had them serviced there over the past 20 years, but our experience has been that repairs are done poorly and they don't care about or understand customer service. Most recently, we took a walk-behind mower in for some work on its drive mechanism. The estimate they provided was high enough that it didn't make sense to get it repaired so I told them we'd likely buy a new one and would pick the mower up. A while after picking it up (and paying $20 for the estimate they provided) I flipped it up to clean under the deck prior to mowing and found that they didn't replace the parts they had removed to assess the work needed; significant parts like a large plate that holds some of the drive components, a belt and a cover, at least. We took it back and asked them to make it whole. Imagine our surprise when, after several weeks, they called to say they had the parts and we went in only to be given our mower and a box full of parts. Apparently, we were expected to reassemble it. We said we felt the mower should be returned to us in the condition in which it was brought in. After several more weeks we were finally given the mower with the parts installed. Hard to believe, but the owner seemed to be miffed about having to return the mower in the same condition it was in when dropped off. Guess he's used to taking his car in for an estimate only to find it up on blocks with missing rotors and calipers because it needed brake work. We'd had some experiences prior to this where we'd take the mower in for a spring tune-up only to have a belt break immediately upon starting it which indicated that they had not inspected the belts since it's easy to see if they're cracked and worn. One time after picking our mower up they called to see if they'd given us someone elses mower. (They hadn't.) And, as other reviewers have noted, your mower will sit out in the rain and snow the entire time it's there. It's just been long-term bad service and bad attitude. We won't be buying our next mower there. read more

Even though they don't carry the brand of mower I had, Greenworks (electric) they were able to source and replace the blade at a fair price and faster than they estimated. read more

In a field where there are few people who DON'T rip you off, it's nice to find a place that has reputable service for a good price, and knowledgeable people at the parts counter. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because you always seem to have to wait 20 minutes to get somebody at the counter. read more

I called them about getting my snow blower serviced because the previous owner had used them as well. They were able to pick it up sooner than they promised, serviced it and returned it before the first snowfall. Their driver was careful to ensure that the receipt was securely attached when he dropped it off. The first snow was last night and everything worked perfectly this morning. They did great work and made getting it done easy. read more

Quoted me $150 for riding lawn mower tune up (change oil, sharpen blades, etc.), told the guy that the reason I'm calling is my uncle had said you do the tune up with pick up for $150, guy said "yep that's right". They call me back a couple days later the bill is $255. Go someplace else or don't be lazy like me and just do the work yourself. Do not recommend. read more

Sometimes you have to go to a business simply because there is not much of an alternative. Just as the lack of a hardware store in this area, there just isn't much as far as mower shops go. Had to go back to get two tires mounted on wheels.When I picked them up they were filthy. Must be a sealant they use. Guess they were too busy to take 10 seconds to wipe them off. My first visit there was to replace a broken belt. The older person I dealt with got me the new belt which obviously didn't match the broken one that I had brought with me. His response was do you want it or don't you. Very rude unprofessional response. I won't be going back to this place and wouldn't recommend them unless you are really desperate. read more

The owner went out of his way to help. He unloaded and loaded my mower himself. A very fair price for a minor repair and I was able to pick my mower up the next day. Quick service at a fair price, what else can you ask for. I will return in the future should I need additional service. read more

I brought my snow blower in for service. They could have told me a bunch of things were wrong. Instead they confirmed what I told them were the issues and sent me packing with a small bill for service. I don't know what they did exactly other than what they told me they did, but my snow blower left with a bit of magic. This is an old snow blower and it worked like it was brand new.
