Dr. Huang provides the best service for the patients and the staff are also very patient and well organized. I have a rather complicated tooth situation, extracting a tooth, planting three implants and replacing the old bridge. Dr. Huang provides multiple plans for me aiming to minimize the pain and the cost. Also, it's usually not hard to make an appointment with Dr. Huang which is not the case for most dental offices. The office is shiny and equipped with first class equipments, though it's not quite easy to find in the first time. You need to cross the parking lot on the 5th floor to find the office on the other end. read more

Absolutely the worst place you can go to, but hey, it's Flushing and he will likely continue to flourish. I was the first appointment of the day and it's always a red flag when you show up to the office before the receptionist and dentist even opens shop! Then you realize 3 other patients also have the same first appointment time slot. Then you wait 30 min and you still see no sign of the dentist. Finally he comes in and tells you it was your fault for not booking an earlier followup appointment. It was your fault for not being certain whether you wanted a followup (for a procedure secondary to a previous appointment) or a dental cleaning. Who's the doctor here? Maybe next time I'll tell him I want a prescription for Vicodin and I'll get what I want? Finally, after 5 min, he tells you you have to make a new appointment for the followup and you can't even get your teeth cleaned today. So absolutely nothing was done. I'm nearly certain he turned me away because he overbooked himself, was running late from the moment his dingy shop opened, and didn't want to deal with a patient was was already upset that she had to wait 30 min. This is likely true since when the assistant called me in, he told me I was here for a filling. So....in the end, no filling, no cleaning, just a lot of waiting, and utter lack of professionalism. Oh and there were two flies in the office, but that's another story. read more

Raymond pays great detail and attention in fixing your teeth. He does his work step by step without skipping a procedure and makes sure it done right one time. He's a great guy who takes his time to explain and talk you out of your fear in the dental office. He's not those money hungry dentist looking to give your wallet a root canal... He has returning customers coming back booking up the schedule to a 2 month wait for an operation. But if it's an emergency, they will stay after operating hours to extract a painful tooth... What an amazing dentist I have ever had! I used to live in NYC, and recently went back to visit. I was recommended to have a dental checkup with Dr Huang since my dental insurance is accepted nationwide. Dr Huang's clinic was located in a new modem building i Flushing. I had little trouble in finding it. Once I arrived, I was amazed by how bright and clean the clinic was. I was greeted warmly by Dr Huang's smile and firm hand shake. He had saved me more $$. I had a crack on one tooth. After checkup, Dr Huang said I should not worry about it since it had been existing for 2 decades. I was told to pay $600 by one dentist in San Jose and scared me that the tooth could be broken any time. Now I know it was a scam by visiting Dr Huang. Thank you Dr Huang for your honesty. Among all the dentist I've visited Raymond is the best one, first he is very patient on listening to ur concern every time visit him either teeth problem or the procedure he has done, many dentist after finishing his procedure and when patient complain they just give excuse and not improve it , but he listen and double checks it, and agrees, very honest person, not a business man type, now a days is very hard to see this type of dentist or doctor, the dentist will refix as you like at no extra cost. Absolutely incredible! I have such a fear of going to the dentist, but Dr. Huang was extremely helpful in making sure this experience turned everything around. I went in for a cleaning and filling in one appointment and Dr. Huang explained everything thoroughly throughout the whole process. Everything was painless and he has a very approachable and comforting bedside manner. On top of that, his hygienist staffs are exceptional and friendly. Front desk staffs are very helpful too. Dr. Huang and his team are amazing! I travel from uptown Manhattan to get my dental work done here. The staff is always friendly and get the job done. I always feel like I am in good hands and they never rush me. They also do a great job at covering all bases. I have had some horrible experiences at other offices and this is why I stick with them! I had a tooth removed here and have always heard how painful it is but I had 0 pain except maybe a little with the injection but that is to be expected. I referred my brother who had a tooth removed elsewhere. He was in pain for more than a week at the other place but when he had his tooth removed here he felt great the next morning! I thought it was my mistake. I went ahead and call my insurance company again just to confirm that Bright Ray does accept it. So having had a history of very, very terrifying experiences at the dentist, I can say with full confidence that I will be coming around to Bright Ray Dental for a long time! Dr. Huang as well as the office staff out front are amazing. Just finished filling in a few (of many) cavities with Dr. Raymond Huang today. He is very reassuring and definitely put my past fears of going to the dentist at bay! He clearly saw how nervous I was during the whole process and periodically asked me how I was doing to make sure I was comfortable. When one tooth he was filling in was feeling very sensitive and painful, he immediately recommended numbing it to continue (best decision ever). I have a bit more work to be done but I definitely know I'm in good hands. So glad I switched my primary dentist to him! Not excited about the further work to be done but glad I have him to do it. read more

The doctors know what they are doing and will answer all your questions. The dentists and staff are all very nice and are always happy to change your appointment if you can't make it that day. I've been coming here for various procedures for over a year now, and it's been the best dental experience I've ever had (and I'm someone who normally dreads dental work). When I showed up with a bad reaction to a temporary crown with absolutely zero notice on a busy morning, they were able to squeeze me in for an examination, no questions asked. I was looking for a new dentist a few months back and came across Bright Ray Dental and seeing the positive reviews, decided to give a try. The wait was a bit long even though I had an appointment but it was the weekend so... The receptionist was friendly, the office was clean. When I got in, an assistant was there to take down my stats, x-ray, etc...Then the hygienist came in to clean my teeth. Both of them didn't say much to me but it was all standard, not bad, but not exceptional either. Then Dr. Ray came in and examined my teeth and basically said that my mouth was a mine of cavities that need to be fixed. I was flabbergasted, granted I hadn't seen a dentist in a year, I didn't think it was that extreme. He started pointing them out, even the smallest sign of cavity to come and recommended I get them all fixed. So I told him, I was aware that some of my teeth showed some wear and were at beginning stages of a cavity but I seriously doubted I needed to fill them all in. Most of them started when I was younger and didn't look after my teeth but I'm very good at taking care of them and my previous dentist always said I maintained them well. Needless to say, we bantered for about 10 min on this and I left the office feeling like I should get a second opinion before I forked over a boat load of money to fill in "signs of cavity". When I got a second opinion from another dentist who actually listened and check my history, he said that my teeth were in the same state they were 5-7 years ago and if I continued maintaining them well, there was no need to "fix" anything. Needless to say, I probably won't be going back to Dr. Ray. If you're looking for a dentist with an aggressive plan of attack and have money to spare, go see Dr. Ray. It's not for everyone (myself included) but not necessarily bad I guess. read more

I was previously a patient at another dentist's office for over 4 years and I just recently moved over to Dr. Huang. It has been a great experience so far. Once you enter the office, you can see it is very clean, bright and inviting. He is very attentive and detailed on information regarding the Invisalign treatment plan I am currently receiving. I've also had my wisdom tooth removed here with much ease and little to no pain. He is very gentle with his patients. made an appointment through zocdoc under the impression I was seeing Dr Raymond Huang, since he was the only physician listed on their site, zocdoc, and nearly all Yelp reviews. After I arrived and filled out the forms, I saw Dr Huang leaving for the day and asked the receptionist if that was the dentist and she said that he was the boss and had other things to do at the moment and that don't worry another dentist is inside. I was pretty disappointed as being a self pay patient, I did extensive research on dentists before settling on this place. To not be informed during my confirmation calls that I wasn't seeing Dr Huang and at the time of visit to not see any certificates or diplomas from this Dr Alanna Li that I ended up seeing was pretty surprising. Overall the hygienist I saw last (Anna?) did a better job explaining my wisdom tooth than the doctor did. I spent at most five minutes of my appointment with Dr Li & she didn't even say bye before leaving the room. I'll likely return for fillings however only if I could make a request for Dr Huang. read more
