If I could give Brightspeed half a star, I would. Our internet stopped working last week, and a technician was supposed to come on Tuesday. No one showed up. Their customer call center is in the Philippines, and all they do is take notes. So Brightspeed saves money by outsourcing customer service overseas, and then they try to find a third‑party technician whenever someone is available. It has been more than a week with no internet. I would rather pay more for reliable service than deal with this incompetent company. Do not get this service--run. Everyone here is telling the truth. Everyone should leave, and maybe the company will finally wake up and take their business seriously. This company lies. We gave them 50.00 down,then a couple of days later we decided to keep our net services we already had. I have called this company 3 different times to ask for our refund,the last person said she would go ahead and give the refund,that was last week, no refund. I am really disappointed and I will never consider them again or give a good review to anyone about them. read more

RUN!! The customer service is absolutely horrific. I signed up for a plan with them and set an install date for a few weeks later. A few days BEFORE the scheduled date, they come to my house while nobody is home and DIG in my yard, UNPLUG the cables from my outdoor cable box and leave the hanging over my AC Unit, and they CUT my existing internet cables. This left me without internet for days. Brightspeed customer service was of no help. It took hours just to confirm that one of their technicians was on my property that day. The manager told me that they had no way to verify who comes to your house because that is "contracted" out to third parties who just come to your house and do work!! Completely anonymous!! This company is extremely shady, scummy, and not to be trusted. You have been warned. read more

a sales man named Christian walked down my neighborhood street and decided to urinate all over my neighbors house. Tried calling to make a complaint but their customer service is a joke. Wanted me to provide all my information to see if I was able to even get service out here before even asking what my issues were. You can tell a lot about a company by who they hire and for the street salesman and some woman named Ashely at their customer service they are both highly unqualified to be employed in positions that require customer relations. avoid this company at all costs. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!! After 3 times over a couple months of trying to do the very complicated task (sarcasm) of getting online access to my account, I still have nothing. I've had an open ticket since February 26. It's March 9th. Crickets. System claims my email address is not associated with ANY account. It's the email address to which they send payment reminders & payment confirmations every month. Online chat was completely useless & is clearly not US based. read more

I called the store and was explaining that I had tried to get service and no one had came out. Instead of giving me the right number I was told that this is a sales store and there was nothing they could do and hung up. The man was so rude. How can I give a Zero star or 1/2 star??? By far one of the worst companies I have ever delt with. My home phone was not working (too much static in line to understand any person I was talking to.) Called Brightspeed, the sent a tech and momentarily fixed the issue. Then a week later, no dial tone. Called Brightspeed back and they scheduled a tech to come out in the beginning of July (approx 3 week wait time). They said the tech showed up, problem solved so they closed the ticket. Utilized my cell phone to call them back and tell them that I still have no dial tone. They had to schedule another tech to come out on July 21st (about three weeks later...again). Same thing happened, without coming to the house, ticket was closed and still....NO dial tone. On the phone now with these idiots and they are looking to schedule a tech to come out and look at it...again. If you want, or better yet need phone service of any kind, do not, do not, DO NOT use Brightspeed for any needs. You will have spotty service at best, or no service for at least a month if you have any problems at all. Prices are even below average to anything else you can get that has good - excellent service. So, bottom line if you choose brightspeed, you just don't need phone service. I sure do hope this review helps someone. I came over from CenturyLink that provided excellent service. Brightspeed bought CenturyLink and, well, lets us just leave it at...I still have no phone service. When you run a business, you need your phone company to be reliable and fix any problems quickly. Our phone lines have been causing issues, which means we've missed out on three days of customer orders and our office manager has spent hours on the phone with Bright Speed trying to get things fixed. It's been three days and still no technician has come to help. We've been loyal customers for years, but we're not getting the service we deserve. As a business owner, I always put my customers first and I expect the same in return! I do not recommend this company for any services they provide. read more
